Saturday, 11:10am…only 10 minutes after they opened… I faxed my order for 30 lunches. LuLu’s on Main Street replied, «Yes. Your order will be ready in 50 minutes.» I said, «See you then.» And… at the promised time my 30 lunches were packaged on the counter with the names of my friends who ordered the item. Amazing! Reasonable prices for antastic fresh food with excellent customer service. LuLu’s is my «go-to» place for a variety of foods I like to eat. The large LuLu’s Chopped Salad is ginormous with chicken and avacodo topped with the really, really good avocado dressing… totally killer tasting good. You too, goto LuLu

The best Mexican restaurant downtown Los Altos. I love taco salad with chicken and shrimp, it always fresh and tasty. The employers are polite and friendly. They work fast and the best attitude ever. I really recommend for everyone. The place is clean and neat and the food is delicious.

As far as I’ve discovered, there are 3 Mexican restaurants in downtown Los Altos. I’ve enjoyed Nachos at each one. At each of the 3 places, they’ve been delicious. I’ve gone back to Lulu’s to eat every time since trying them around 5 visits ago. I’ve gotten the Nachos every time, though some of their salads have looked very tasty, as well, in addition to being sizeable. What makes the Nachos so tasty is the variety of standard toppings that are put on them: cheese, beans(refried, whole pinto or whole black), sour cream, guacamole and fresh chopped tomato salsa(i.e. pico de gallo). I get refried beans, as they seem to make for a well moistened dish, rather than a dish that one has to chew and moisten more. There is a very wide assortment of the different meats to enjoy on the Nachos or other dishes. The 3 or 4 different ones I’ve tried have had a good flavor. I usually go for the marinated meats or the meats in some kind of broth, but I recently tried the«carne asada»(baked/roasted beef). The natural. beef flavor stood out in a very«beefy» way. The chips are firm and have a solid toasted corn tortilla flavor. The proportion of toppings to chips is very good. There is a truly ample amount of toppings to go with the amount of chips. It makes for a very tasty meal(enough for left overs or a doggie bag). The other dishes I’ve seen other diners having look very tasty, too, but I have not yet wanted to pass up the opportunity to have Nachos. The people who work there are busy, but still friendly and very helpful. The salsa bar has quite a variety of salsas, from mild to hot, various colors and textures. Truly an exceptional number to choose from.

Didnt really know what i wanted to eat so we decided to go to lulus. Marina the cashier really knows how to welcome us as it was our first time at a local Mexican restaurant. She gave a couple suggestions on what to get even though it was pretty busy. The food is amazing! We are coming back tomorrow for another round !

We have eaten here too many times, and wish it were much better. But we won’t go back. Too many tummy troubles(25% of the times), incorrect orders(50%). Never mind overpriced and under-flavored. Simply inadequate quality control. Another wantabe chain restaurant.

First time coming here… I found this taqueria through Unilocal and thought we would give it a try. Overall I would give it 2 stars because the food was descent but still had not much flavor. There was no spiciness in there salsas and the meat was very plain. The lady who took our order was very rude and didn’t even deliver to our table like everyone else — maybe cause she was making a big deal for substituting guac for sour cream on my tacos and I happened to question her flat out rude answer of «no» with an attitude. We won’t be returning here again Oh and they are pricey as well, probably due to the location

Food Ordered: Super Burrito Bowl with Chicken and Black Beans Super Burrito with Chicken and Black Beans Portions: Very generous The Food: The flavors were not very robust, rather mediocre really. The chicken was dry, bland and there were several chewy parts that were off-putting. The colors in the burrito were nice and bright, shame it was bland. Also, they were out of most beverage selections. However, my wife and I sampled 6 varieties and found all of the flavors to be quite delicious. This was the only reason we thought this place deserved a three star rating. I actually think three might be too generous, but we didnt sample a variety of food. Customer Service: Friendly, but not outstanding Ambience: Inside was nothing special, so we ate outside which was quite nice. Main Street seating or more private seating in the rear. Value: At nearly $ 8+ per item, we expected more. Conclusion: Mediocre, probably wouldn’t go back.

This place is extremely overpriced. Not only is it overpriced, but the food is only mediocre. I got a mini super burrito and I barely got anything in there. The size of the burrito was maybe suitable for a 3 year old to eat. And to top it all of I just got ripped off about $ 6

Fish soft taco plate is delicious, at $ 14 a bit overpriced. Yesterday I told an employee that the soap dispenser wasn’t dispensing any soap. Today I come back(I have an event nearby) and it’s not fixed. If employees are washing their hands after using the restroom they would know…

The staff is very nice and welcoming although most of the time my food comes out cold or I don’t have a fun time after I eat, the food is by all means good, just happens to come out cold quite often. It’s also very pricy for what you actually get.

Pros: — Location; — Very crunchy, well(but not overly) salted tortilla chips; — A pretty good chopped salad(wish the dressing had more zing and maybe a little more spice). Cons: — The pico de gallo is a little bland; — Slightly overpriced for the quality(a burrito, two small salads, and a juice was over $ 30).

Quality and taste are constantly good. The cashier made an error in charging me towards using loyalty points. I asked the manager to remedy the situation. The Manager did compensate me for the mistake which shows good customer service. The act by the Manager is why I will stay loyal and recommend the restaurant and keep coming back.

It’s really like a 3.5 since I couldn’t decide between a 3 and 4. It’s an open, clean tex-mex place in the middle of downtown Los Altos, with prices that reflect that location. For two burritos the price came out to a little over $ 20. The«low-carb» burrito(it’s just a burrito without rice… wish it had a less horrible name) was pretty good but it was a bit cold so the cheese didn’t melt. It was pretty hot that day though I didn’t mind. It was packed with carnitas and veggies mixed with guac which was awesome. They have a variety of salsas the choose from. I normally like spicy salsas but I think their mild ones are better here. The pickled veggies are also good. The chips are thick cut tortilla chips with a strong corn flavor. This is how I prefer my chips but others may not like it so much.

This place serves expensive and small portion plates. First time I came here, I tried one of the $ 11.95 salad. The resulting salad was half the size of similar prized salad at other restaurants. A few months later, I decided to give it a second try. This time I ordered the $ 7.50 enchiladas. Once again, the enchiladas were as small as the size of a taquito. I took a picture of it with a fork alongside as a reference: it is only 2⁄3 the length of the fork! The conclusion: don’t come here if you are used to the portion and cost at other genuine Mexican restaurants

I’d give Lulu’s 3 stars overall. 4 stars for the food. 2 stars for the service and cleanliness. 1 star for the amount of chips they’re willing to give you when you purchase a $ 10 burrito(about 5). It’s good in a Mexican food pinch, but it won’t blow you away. Don’t expect a smile either. :)

It was mehh. I had a mini super burrito with extra avacado on the side for $ 7. It seems a bit much for a tiny burrito. The taste was OK… Next time I’ll take my hungry stomach to Chipotle. Oh! They have a large salsa bar with a lot variety. I loved the pickled veggies(cucumber and cauliflower)! Downside is that you must buy the chips :( They give you a little of chips with your meal but not enough to fully enjoy the salsa bar.
