ProTech Pools serviced my pool and spa in Woodside until I moved to Menlo Park, and is now taking care of my new hot tub here. Ken and his technicians are responsive and reliable. And prices are fair. Ken is unflappable — even when the wind shattered a glass-top table into my pool or when my 12-year-old son accidentally poured gasoline into our pool(long story), Ken was there to fix the problem. I highly recommend ProTech Pool & Spa.

We had Pro Tech service our pool/spa for about 6 years(have now moved away from the Bay Area) and always found Ken and his team to be professional and responsive. The couple of times that we needed emergency repairs(broken pipe, controller failure) Ken was out quickly to fix and always did so after offering different cost options. I would highly recommend Pro Tech to all pool owners in the area.

We had been customers for a long time, but in the last few years, the quality of service has just gone down the sewer. Last year, while we were out of town, one of his employees put our hose in the pool to fill it and left it running till the pool overflowed and wasted a ton of water. If we didn’t catch it, it would have wasted a week of water. I still do not know why he did not use the automatic filling timer that we installed and have been using for years. After the storms this Oct, like many pools, ours was clogged and a mess. It took him two weeks to come out and fix the system. Another time, after again returning from out of town, I discovered out hot tub was bone dry… and has been for about a week when one of his people opened the wrong valve and emptied the hot tub into the pool… leaving the filter and sweep motors to run dry without cooling or lube… This actually was the second time this had happened in the last few years. When we called to complain, did the owner come out to check or deal with it? No. He sent an employee who does not even speak english. This is not real professional behavior. Shows he really didn’t care about what harm may have been done. Needless to say, we will be finding a new pool service.
