So the night went into a disastrous night because of their server. We ordered 2 glass of Subak Soju and he gave us Soju Apple Tini. We said that its not the drinks we ordered but he insisted that that was our order. My friend was very angry on that guy and suggested we just leave. We planned that night to be fun and special but it went bad. Would never come back again.

The worst karaōke experience in K town. It was smelly — I don’t know how Korean businesses can still get away with smoking indoors. Temperature control sucked — we were sweating in one minute and freezing the other. Their books were outdated and sticky. Service was slow and unfriendly. It was just a horrible night out. Never going back.

THISPLACESUCKSBIGTIME! Horrible service. There are plenty of places with decent service and food in k-town if you are looking to eat/drink. Even if you are with Korean friends, they provide below average service and even by Asian standards(which means lower), it was unacceptable. On a side not, I have a separate issue with their Karaōke bar upstairs, I don’t enjoy smelling cigarette smoke coming in from the private room next to ours, not to mention seeing waves of «escorts» parading through. The staff insisted they deserved a better tip than what they thought we left them(they hadn’t even swiped the credit cards yet, so we didn’t have a chance to fill in the tip line!!!) I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone! Needless to say I WON’T be back to either the Restaurant or the Karaōke bar upstairs.

So we actually did not know this place changed to Café 600. We walked in and walked out and walked in again confused. The décor and everything changed. One of the waiters saw us and told us to come in. We were hungry and wanted to eat and drink and we wanted something at Happy Hour. We asked if they had happy hour and luckily they did. 50% off mostly everything. Anyways we ordered a bunch of dishes and we ordered some twice. Not because the portions are small but because it was so good. Anyways we left drunk and full.

Wow… do I live in Koreatown or is this Russia??? I had the most communist experience of my life. As a hardcore foodie and a Unilocal elite, I eat out often and this is hands down the worst experience I have had in the last 10 years… I really thought I was in the asian section of Moscow(if one even exists!). I don’t like establishment that lie. Before we ordered a bottle of wine, we double checked with them if it was part of the 50% off happy hour. They said yes so we went ahead and ordered. On top of that, we ordered 4 dishes to eat. The bottle of wine was $ 60 so we were excited that the happy hour deal would save us 50%. When the bill came, they did not provide any discount. We explained to them that we did confirm before we ordered it and the manager said the server denied it. I clearly remember the server asking this manager who said it was ok. I asked the manager to speak to the owner and I was denied again. He said the owner wasn’t there but the owner’s wife said no and she didn’t care what the background story was. UMMMMM… if a customer is told something before they place the order, it should take precedence. It was obvious both the manager and the server were worried about losing their job so they lied to the owner’s wife(who didn’t seem to care anyway). After arguing with them, they acted like they were doing us a big favor by taking $ 20 off our bill. But it was suppose to be $ 30 dollars less so I don’t understand how this is favorable to us. I explained to them that we would have never ordered the wine if we knew this was the case. Again, the manager reiterated that the owners wife didn’t care. I told them I was going to write a unfavorable review on Unilocal and his attitude was, you gotta do what you gotta do. I don’t think most korean establishments care about Unilocal. Oh well… to people who are looking for a drinking spot in k-town, go to DGM(DwitGolMok) off Wilshire. If you are looking for a cheap happy hour for food/drink, go to Gaam(I think before 8pm 7 days a week). Skip this place… I will never go back and I will also tell all my friends to ban this place. The power of word-of-mouth!!!
