One star because this bar had cool lights, good booze, and fun bartenders. But oh my god. My friends and I were held hostage by the bar security from 1:30 until 3:00am. We arrived late for a party and bought our own drinks, but bc the person hosting the party had left early and her card bounced, we somehow became responsible for the $ 1000 bill. Like a communist state, the bartenders immediately demanded that we hand over our ID cards, but we refused. Next, the security kept grabbing us and pushing us when we tried to go home, and the bar owner told us that we would«definitely be in jail» tonight. I’ve never witnessed such absurd language used by upper management, and when the police were called(thank god), we explained our story and quickly went home. So much for jail… The people here(including the owners, bartenders, and general staff) should NOT be allowed to run any type of establishment. They were rude, pretentious, and had no general sense of the law. I’m no lawyer, but it doesn’t take a blind person to see how crazy these people are. I will never be back. Although, the DJ earned you a star. Congrats.

came here for a friend’s birthday and it’s a good place for a large group. i think our room comfortably seated about 70 or so. also friendly for non-koreans, none of my friends had any problems communicating with the service. i thought the song selection was quite up to date and i recommend using the remote control to search. don’t sit there leafing through pages and pages of songs you don’t know, while your courage slowly drains and u become that deer in the headlights. the atmosphere runs about the clubbiest not a club vibe one finds in ktown. not a club, meaning there is no dance floor. but ppl dressing up and getting bottle service. good looking service staff. nightlife junkies looking for a mama san. saw quite of few of the gang affiliated type. don’t bring that friend who likes to start fights, as if that ever needed to be said. do bring a reason to spend a pretty penny. and u’ll be just fine.

This was a very interesting experience. It’s a private and must make a reservation. I came for a birthday party of my friend, we were a big group. the service is OK . Be aware, we was not be able to connect our phone so the only songs we was be able to sing was from the list that they have in the book which was not included my favorite songs

This is a little over due but I had to make a point to write a review. I celebrated my 30th birthday here about a month ago and it was amazing! Everyone was very helpful and attentive. I love how it was set up with Karaōke, the bar, and restaurant. I arrived a little after 9 and some of my friends had already arrived waiting in our room. They had employees at every corner directing me like I was a celebrity. LOL! The room was awesome! The drink packages we well priced and the food was delicious! We all got a little drunk and had an amazing time. My only concern would be having more of a song selection with newer/older hit songs. Definitely a great and memorable birthday!

Palm tree has a special place in my heart!!! After many years of crazy nights filled with fun and laughter, I finally got myself to write a review after my experience recently. This place seems to always improve and get better with every visit ilI make. This one particular waiter(sorry forgot his name) made my last visit really special. It was my husband’s birthday and they were really keen on everything. They let me bring in a cake to celebrate the special day. I ordered the party packages which accommodated my group perfectly!!! Thank you palm tree cannot wait for my next visit when I am around the area!!!

Interesting set up for these karaōke places. Located in the heart of koreatown. The price of food and drinks are high but I’m guessing that’s the bulk of their earnings. Definitely not from charging an hourly rate for room usage. The place is located on the 4th floor. I was the first to arrive out of my party and went up stairs, but wasn’t sure who made the reservation. The girl up front offered no help, had me name off a couple of names and said«nope». After wandering around I finally asked again, then she blurted out a name of a colleague of mine. She could have done that up front. When I asked if they served coffee inside, she said«this isn’t a coffee shop». Rude… yes. Perhaps they should have someone at the front counter who doesn’t hate life so much. It shows… Or just a bit more experience in the customer service department. The overall experience of a karaōke bar is always fun. Our party consisted of about 15 people and there in a Tuesday night. It was all pleasant except for the miserable woman at the front. We ordered popcorn chicken, fries, fried chicken, and the, potstickers, and plenty of drinks. The food was really good. Popcorn chicken is delicious. It was $ 3 valet parking in their lot. Not bad at all. If you’re looking to have a fun filled night this should work for you. All your friends or family in one room, enjoying food, and acting like we’re all pop artists and rappers.

This is my favorite karaōke place in k-town! I found this place from lot of blog and web site. MUSTGO places in los angeles ! Good service, very kind people! There is a lot of COMBO Menu(We can save money haha) reasonable price with the GREATEST food, alcohol, alcoholic beverage, and karaōke. The rooms are great… Awesome sound system, lots of fun lights, and great service! They also have a big room for big party! The location is fantastic too. If somebody looking for the greatest karaōke in Los Angeles, I can definitely RECOMMEND this place!

I Been here before and had a good time with friends(and hoped not to get any billing issues this time) and decided to take my sister here for their 21st Bday. We all had a blast thought the drinks were excessively pricey but that was no big deal. The service was not the best, waiter came only about 3 times in the 4 ½ hours we were there. The music selection for english and spanish was outdated. Towards the end of the night when the check came which was about $ 450 or so we were deciding how to slit the bill, they said you can only have 3 cards max to slip and their AMT was broken so a lot of us ended up paying for other ppl. To top it off the waiter kept coming back to ask if the bill was ready, we kept telling him we were not ready… this guy come like 10 times asking for our bill… I wish he would of been that persistent on his service ORLACKTHEREOF! Once we were ready to pay he ask«Where is Tip? LOL He demanded a tip, and demanded and demanded. he went to get other guy that spoke«better Engrish» to tell us in English he wanted a TIP. What the heck! and the other guy said 15% is $ 50, he wants a tip because he was serving you for 4 hrs… lets remember that his service sucked ass… so one of our friends was so irritated and finally gave in and gave them $ 50 bucks and called it a night. This happened to us before, IDK if they do it because we are latino’s but this place really soured the end of our night. Moral of the story, PREGAMEORGOOUTANDGETDRINKSATTHEBAR! Shitty service AND they demand TIP!!! ALSO! check your bank statements because they did charge me an extra $ 20 .never again will I come here

Since my friends and I are oldies, we had a room reserved for early in the evening(7 – 9). It was fairly empty when we arrived, but by the time we got out of there(10:00), crowds were gathering and bathroom lines getting longer. Pros: I’m a big fan of the $ 3 valet. But if you get there early enough, you can park yourself and it’s totally free. English songs, though limited, were a great selection. Cool ambiance, with tambourines, neon and disco lights. Great for large parties, as we were able to split the food/drink package. Very clean. Service good. Cons: I live in south Orange County, so I wouldn’t say it was worth the trek down to Koreatown(65 miles away). We didn’t realize that guys had to wear sleeves, so one of our friends had to go get a shirt. The food was eh. We ordered a couple pizzas, coconut shrimp, and fried dumplings. Nothing memorable — just sort of helped absorb the alcohol. Bottle service, so everyone had to be okay with having the same drink.(Some of us liked whiskey, others preferred gin, etc.) I think if I lived closer, I would give it 4 stars. All in all, it was a fun night.

The ups: definitely the cleanest and most posh noraebang I’ve been to. Lots of neon and disco lights. Ample and helpful staff to help find where things are. Cheap parking at $ 3 for valet and the parking entrance is on New Hampshire and not on Wilshire. The downs: not enough English songs; the master book of songs is out of date. There are a few songs I couldn’t find in the book but found by searching on the system. The food there is meh. I’ve had popcorn chicken which left a kind of weird film on my teeth. :(I’d totally pass on the food and drinks are pricey. Just load up on food and drink during your pregame and show up, ready to sing your heart out! Overall: Great karaōke joint and an ideal place to introduce your noraebang virgin friends to!

Short and sweet: Fancy Korean private karaōke rooms with food, booze, but mediocre song selection. Palm is located in a high-rise building in the middle of K-town. Goes for a «clubby» vibe with lots of neon lights, techno music in the lobby… clean rooms and decent service. Unfortunately, a big weakness is that they only have a smattering of the pop songs from about a month or two ago, and maybe 10 pages total of English songs.(Who doesn’t have lighting crashes by live!?) The korean comfort food is fairly decent — the dok bok ki can really hit the spot. Valet out front as well.

Palm Tree LA is a really fun karaōke bar in Koreatown on Wilshire Blvd. It’s a fun spot to celebrate a birthday or a celebration, you and your party can reserve a private room for karaōke, order food and drinks. I love that they have just about every song you can imagine for karaōke, I found their music selection to be from the 80’s to present day, lot’s of different songs from other countries as well. Each room comes with two microphones so you and your friends can sing duets together too(which is a must when at karaōke!). So why am I giving 3 stars? Because I think their food could have been prepared and serviced better & their service could also be improved. Their food is just not good — tastes cheap and as if it were frozen — yuck. The drinks are very sugary and the wait staff isn’t familiar with the menu. The wait staff has a hard time checking in regularly, so if you wanted a refill forget it. I wanted to love this place but I think if I go back for a second chance I’d only make it a pit-stop for the night.

If you’re looking for a place in Koreatown to rent a karaōke room for you and your friends, Palm Tree LA is the place to go. I came here with a group of friends this past weekend and it was a great experience overall! The staff was friendly, the whole process of getting a room and paying was easy and seamless(we didn’t even have to wait late on a Saturday night), and it’s only $ 30/hour for a medium-sized room that can easily fit 10 people. This place is probably in the most random location of all time – the fourth floor of what appears to be an office building – but once you’re there, the ambiance can’t be beaten! The karaōke rooms are fully stocked with two microphones, tambourines, seating, a table, and(of course) disco lights! Another huge plus is they charge by the half-hour so if you’re there for an hour and a half, you only have to pay for an hour and a half, not like other places that only charge by the full hour. Long story short, we came and planned to stay for an hour but ended up staying almost two hours because it was so much fun. I’d definitely recommend Palm Tree if you’re in the area!

First time here to karaōke with a group of friends and I must say I was impressed! Located next to S Bar on the top level it might be hard to find at first. Valet parking $ 3 weekends I remember paying. All the servers are Korean so it helps if you go with a Korean friend but I think they can understand if you speak English slowly: P You can eat and drink while singing. Nice ventilation inside~ me Likey~ Nice décor and comfortable seating and friendly staff. WoOoo~ Drink enough and it’ll be fun, too! lol Sing your hearts out!

Cheap(but semi sketchy**) valet for $ 3 — read below for more info. The rooms are big and offer a decent variety of songs in different languages since I was able to find some Chinese goodies to switch it up from all the English and Korean music. Remote was easy to figure out with it being labeled and a tambourine, well, guarantees to get the party started. They have a few specials with alcohol and food, so sing and drink the night away! Anyways, back to the valet — at the end of the night, we were scouring all our wallets to make sure we had enough cash to pay for the valet. We had given them $ 2 first and they assumed that we didn’t have the third dollar, so they started refusing to give us our keys back. Luckily, we gathered one more dollar to give it to them before they took off, but instead of bringing the car to the valet area, they packed up and left as soon as they gave us our keys, not telling us where the car was parked. My friend and I had to go looking in the dark parking lot for our car and finally found it at the very end… Not exactly the safest place to be for two girls at 2am in the morning in a super dark parking lot…

S Bar and Karaōke! $ 20 an hour for a karaōke room on a Friday night. You can hang out inside S Bar and wait for a room to open. Karaōke room is extremely spacious, and you ca order food and drinks inside the karaōke room. The entire keyboard to pick songs for karaōke is in Korean. The song list has Korean, Japanese, Chinese, American(and maybe some other) songs inside of it.

It’s easily been over a decade since I used to hit up Palm Tree LA on a regular basis. Things were different then. There were cosmic bowling lanes, pool tables, and lounge area. It wasn’t uncommon to see select Lakers players mingling in with the local crowd. They’ve obviously gone through a makeover because there are rows upon rows of karaōke rooms in the area that used to house the bowling alley. As far as karaōke rooms in K-town goes, it’s very good. Their song list is updated with a fair number of recent hits. Karaōke rooms are clean and well decorated. Microphones are wireless and come with mic covers for sanitary purposes. Service is prompt and pretty friendly. For about 3 hours of karaōke with a group of 10 with several drinks, water, and a few snacks, it came out to about $ 30 a person, which is pretty fair. There are plenty of girls dressed to the nines like they’re heading to some club. Several of these girls seem to have knocked back too many drinks because they are unsteady on their feet. Can’t blame them. I don’t know how I could walk properly in heels after a couple of drinks. Palm Tree isn’t your laid back karaōke bar, but a place you want to hit when you’re in the mood to go out with friends. Parking is valet only in the lot. You can try to find street parking, but prepare to circle around for a long time.
