After being told by one of the employees that if I made a purchase they would charge my phone, I purchased a meal for my son and I. Once the food was ordered they went back on their word and began to talk trash about me in Spanish unknowing that I am half Mexican and speak fluent Spanish. Finally the food arrived, and my 4 year old son ended up almost eating the hair which was in his burger.

I’m sad that they close their doors today. No more hash browns breakfast for me. :( Shout-out to their general manager, Hazel Johnson!

I searched for a Carl’s Jr. in downtown for chili dogs, after reading an article in the paper. The first two outlets I tried, didn’t serve them. The outlet at Macy’s Plaza had them, but there were no signs or anything on the menu board. The mgr said her boss took the sign she had up yesterday, for another location. Sadly, she said this store would be closing… We both reminisced about the hot dog cart that was displayed in the front. I had two chili dogs for $ 3.27. They were good, and two was the right amount for me. Oh…just like the Carl’s Jr.(now closed) in the Bonaventure, you can buy pitchers of beer. Starting Wednesday, local Carl’s Jr. restaurants will honor founder Carl Karcher’s January birthday by reintroducing the fast food item that launched his empire: the chili dog.

So they don’t have any more happy hour deals, but still have the pitchers of beer. I would still avoid it during lunch hour. Line gets crazy long but it goes by fast, but it takes forever to get your food even when u get something as simple as a Spicy chicken! Can’t imagine how long it’ll take if you get something more complicated to make. They still make the food with love though, that’s why they get three stars from me.

Since joints like the habit, counter, and unami opened, hasn’t even crossed the mind to eat carls jr. Today, after a failed attempt at an item return at radio shack, wanted to take it out on a burger, albeit a crappy one. Wow has carls gone downhill. Not that it was a tremendously tasty patty in the first place, but the burger I ordered(double bacon) was so lifeless, so tasteless, had to douse in bbq sauce and ketchup just to have some flavor. No pickles or onions, WTF man? Not to mention almost 8 bucks for a small combo. I realize this isnt 1989, but damn you can go to habit, get a 1000x times tastier combo, and much better meat quality for a buck LESS. Cant even call this meat. It was that bad, and Ive eaten at some hole in the wall shitholes. Couldnt even eat dinner, so hard to digest I guess should count my blessings not in the ER from donkey meat poisoning. Never again. Just couldnt wash that shit down, just one burger made me feel so bad and crummy rest of the day and night. Stick to habit, 5 guys and the like, no contest. And if their aint none around, go grab a salad a live(literally) to eat a burger another day.

Not much of a review. Just confirming the awesomeness of getting BEERONTAP at Carl’s Jr. This is the only one I know that does.

This is the best Carl’s Jr. in downtown. There isn’t really that many homeless roaming around, asking for change… poor ass mother f*ckers. Most of there burgers are huge compared to the little pussies ones at Mc Donalds. My favorite thing from all Carl’s Jr is the big carl. The spicy chicken sandwich are pretty good. Another thing, the chili cheese fries don’t have that much flavor… not worth it.

I give this place NO stars. I went in for breakfast. Ordered a steak and egg burrito combo with a coupon for free hash browns and coffee. The manager on duty informed me that the coupon was only good for a loaded breakfast burrito. I read the coupon to her where it said«WITHPURCHASEOFANYBREAKFASTBURRITO» and then had to endure her extremely shitty attitude for the remainder of the transaction. I have written Carl’s corporate office about my experience and so far have not heard back. I must assume that hard economic times have not effected Carl’s Jr. and they must not need my business, coupon or no. I suggest that this manager needs a nice long vacation or be placed in a job that doesn’t require that she deal with the public. She obviously isn’t very good at it.

$ 4.75 for a pitcher of beer during their happy hour… woot! I’m not sure when the happy hour starts but I usually have gone after 5pm. I think it is a few dollars more during the day time. And I agree with the others. Really old people working the registers and a lot of lurkers in the dining area.

Burgers + beer? ‘Nuff said. Plus, you can laugh at all the people who are literally working their asses off at Bally’s nearby.

omg I used to be a total«fast food» snob but after enjoying my 6 dollar burger and Pitcher of Draught Beer I just wanna eat here all the time but have to run like a 5k afterward. Caution: there is a total freak show at this Carl’s Jr. but after your 3rd pitcher who cares.

Everyone working at this Carl’s Jr. is 100 years old. Seriously, they must have hiring fairs at senior centers because they rival Wal-Mart for senior citizen employment. This is not fast food. It’s junk food, but not fast. But it’s so busy that the food is as fresh as you’re gonna get at Carl’s. And, as mentioned, they serve BEER.

BEER at a fast food restaurant(in California)!!! Yipeeee! Plus, they have«happy hour» specials on pitchers! Sure, it’s a lil depressing being down in the basement of the plaza, with a view of people on treadmills over at Bally’s but, oh well… I’ve got a $ 6 burger+beer :P

Located in Macy’s Plaza, this Carl’s Jr ROCKS. It sells pitchers of beer. Nuff said.
