I live in a neighborhood without many grocery store options, and this is my go-to when I don’t want to walk to Jons or drive to Ralphs and need something quickly. Yes, it’s a liquor store, but it also carries a good selection of canned foods, toiletries, snacks, general household items, pet food, charcoal/picnic supplies, packaged food, snacks, basic dairy items, ice cream, adult magazines… they have a lot of stuff. Somehow, they carry some Costco/Kirkland items. Everything is reasonably priced for a liquor store, too. The entire back wall is full of wine. I stop by here for boxes of cat food for $ 2.75, those awesome Mexican strawberry ice cream bars, bottles of Mexican Pepsi, or when I forgot something at the store. The cashiers are always very friendly. And they have 2 parking spots! This is a big deal in K-town. And they have the rad signage. I like this place and am glad I live a few blocks from it.

The workers here are really friendly and helpful. They know the usual customers and treat them like family. The beer and alcohol has reasonable prices and you can find all types snacks and drinks.

This place isn’t the most ideal spot to find booze, but it isn’t all that bad either. So to get to the useful fact: Use the back cooler entrance and find the hidden stock of beer gems!

I used to live just a block away from Catalina Liquor. When you live in Koreatown, drinking helps numb the pain of living in Koreatown. Needless to say, Catalina Liquor does the job just fine. They have booze, plastic party cups and stationary. I’d prefer to never return to this place, but I’m glad it was there when I needed it. Drink up K-town!
