We got room #5 and it was so clean and huge. The mike had problems tho but overall we had a lot of fun.

I called to reserve a room for a friends birthday. Guy on the phone was super helpful. They don’t accept reservations due to how many people cancel last minute or just plain tons show up(understandable) but he’ll leave a note for the person that would work tomorrow letting him know a group of 10 would show up. Asked if they served drinks«yes we do» Cool, thanks guy . Guy working the day after… not so cool. HUGE sign in the front saying«we do not sell alcohol to persons under 21 «As were booking our room I asked if we could buy drinks as we are all obviously over 21. He snaps back at me. «We don’t serve drinks, you can’t bring in drinks either» ok… chill, geez. That sign is a little misleading and every other room is packed with really drunk people at 9pm but ooook. We walked outside to smoke first then meet up with the rest of our party who were just pulling into the parking lot. As we were walking inside to get to our room I hear some one shouting«excuse me!» and the guy working the front runs up to me and says«no drinks, if we see you bring drinks you get kicked out»… lol, like I didn’t hear you the first time. No one brought drinks we thought there would be some there. To be honest, we were going in there to sing a song each and leave just because we got the room already. The room looks like the last time it was cleaned was in 1994, the floor was sticky and there were cigarette burns/cigarette butts on the seat. Now, I’m aware theres seedy karaōke places that will turn the other way to drinks and smoking(which is cool, I’m all for that) and I’m aware theres nice places that don’t allow that but c’mon don’t give me this«we don’t do that» when your rooms and other customers are proving otherwise. We go up to pay our bill«oh you’re done?» he says to us. «Yes, we are; we can’t drink! whats karaōke if you can’t drink» my friend says jokingly and the employee replies«well other places let you drink but we don’t, so maybe you should go to those other places» I cut in «Excuse me, the seats have cigarette butts in them, just to let you know» He says«ok, thank you» … What the hell??? like, I STILL don’t understand what crawled in this guys butt and died.

Pros: — great for big groups if you’re going cheap — FREE parking lot — tambourines Cons: — outdated songbook with comparatively minimal selection(they have«Ignition» but not the remix?! Not hot and fresh out the kitchen) — unreliable technology – it kept clearing our queue! — there wasn’t always someone at the front desk(not too good for service and security) I’ve been to better karaōke places than this, which is why I have to give it the low rating. We had a group of about 9 people, and at the end of the night, we split the cost to $ 5 a person – not bad. However, I would have preferred to pay a bit more for better song selection and a more manageable remote.

Chorus is my go-to karaōke. You can find me here ATLEAST once a week. Singing is one of my greatest passions and chorus always comes through when I want to sing my heart out. They open at 6PM and small room is $ 10 an hour until 12AM, it’s called happy hour. Once it hits noon, prices go up! It’s usually PACKED on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday’s but I always managed to find parking. They also have a medium/big sized room for even bigger crowds. They improved on their sound system a lot so I don’t have any complaints especially with the prices they offer. And yes, the workers are kind. Docked a star off because sometimes the mics don’t work or the remote control stops working. Of course the workers come and fix it but I guess it’s just annoying to deal with. This only happens about twice every ten times.

They serve alcohol to minors. They never check IDs. They serve alcohol over 2 am. They close usually at 4−7am. They serve alcohol in arrowhead water bottles. They charge a fine of 30.00 dollars if you bring your own alcoholic beverage. The services are terrible. The workers seems like they don’t wanna be there. They sometimes asks you for more tip if you drank any alcohol which you don’t even get in a proper package and no glasses to drink out of or anything. The restrooms are filthy the actual karaōke rooms reeks cigarette smell. Hope the local law enforcement do there job at least.

Definitely my favorite nrb in koreatown! The staff is always so nice and never try to rip you off like other places(aka Recital). Also it feels like they never close so you can sing your heart out til the sun comes up! lol

Okay I will refrain myself from being vulgar but I really could. Let’s start with the positives points… don’t worry there aren’t to many… the place was cheap and the room was good. Okay that’s it. Then for the negatives, first of all, terrible customer service, the guys and girls working there weren’t nice at all it seemed to me that we were bothering them, we asked if they had a room and they told us we would have to wait for 30 minutes, as if excepted us to leave, we then asked if they had a waiting room or a waiting list they just said no and started talking again and even left us to go smoke a cigarette. Then the room was finally available, they didn’t showed us anything didn’t even took us to the room, they just told us the number, we had no idea of how any of the things worked, so of course we couldn’t get the remote to work, we tried for a little while and then I went out to ask them, which I did and what was their reaction? they looked at me and turned the other way, finally a customer had to come and explained it to us… she wasn’t the one who was supposed to do so… When we decided to leave we went to the front desk and once again the guy was unsympathic and almost rude with that«I’m glad you’re leaving» attitude, he just took the money and didn’t even said anything. But wait there is more… We figured out that they would go in every room to asked if the customers were thirsty, or needed anything, well I guess that they sadly forgot they had a room number 6 as they never came into ours… We felt cast aside because we were not Korean like everybody else, but that shouldn’t matter you should be allowed to be respected and treated as good as the other customers even when your are from a different country… I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, of course it’s cheap and you can have fun with your friends, but the atmosphere is really unwelcoming and the people working over there are rude and unsympathic…

I have to say that I come here way more often than I would like. Why? Because it’s cheap and open till late. Plus they don’t check IDs, so it’s great if you have friends that are under 21 or when you forget your ID. Song selection could be better — they need more recent American songs. It’s a great place for when you already pregamed and ready to have fun. Not the best, but it’s the cheap option.

I love coming here since it is so cheap. It is $ 10 an hour, for a small karaōke room at Chorus. It is big enough for 4 people and the location is very convenient since it is located on Western. As for the music selection I really didn’t have any complaints since most of the songs I sang were Korean. They do have English songs but not as updated as the Korean song. The ambiance is very relaxed where the staff don’t bother you to purchase anything and just let you be. Except of the time we rang the bell no one came to bother us. Will be back.

Fuck this place. Owner was a plastic bitch. It was 30 degrees outside and the owner told us to wait outside in the cold. Elsa could not have even survived. So…fuck this bitch once again. Cheap is lower than ratchet. Open until 6am? Call the cops. 911.

I had read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to go to Chorus b/c of the happy hour and it seemed like we could byob and food. It was a birthday party and we were expecting 10 or so people so I called to reserve the large room. The guy who answered the phone told me they didn’t take reservations so I said ok I’ll see him later. 3 of us got there at 8 and asked for the large room. The same guy who I talked to on the phone 2 hours earlier asked if we made reservations. I said you told me I couldn’t make reservations. Then I said fine, we have about 10 people coming, can we fit in the medium room. He said no, the medium room fits 6. I said ok we’ll take that for now and when the large room opens up, we’ll take the large room. I had a cake with me and I stuck it in the room which could easily fit 8 – 10 people. We went outside to get our alcohol, but the guy comes out and says we can’t have the cake inside. So I take the cake back to the car and we decide to leave the alcohol in the car too. I guess it’s not their fault for people’s inaccurate reviews or he was just being that guy who can’t let us have cake. The rest of the party trickled in and we had fun. But apparently they had trouble communicating with the guy when they tried to explain that we already had a room and he tried to give them another room. The rest of the night went pretty smoothly. We figured out the buttons on the machine b/c I can read and understand a little Korean. The scoring didn’t work and I couldn’t figure out how to fix that. Otherwise we were all so bad at singing that the machine gave us all 00. We also couldn’t figure out how to change the key. Oh and some of the pages have backs to them. If you can’t find a song, see if you can pull out the sheet for more songs. Pros: Cheap happy hour, big rooms, free parking Cons: Small song selection for English songs, employees can’t understand English, controls in Korean

Been here about 4 times already and had fun every time I went. They have a happy hour that I didn’t know about until I saw it on Unilocal.I just thought they were cheap! As for their facilities it’s not too bad. They have recent songs and their sound system and stuff are all clear and I have had no trouble with it for the past times I’ve went. I really wish they gave the mic covers so that it’s sanitary, because a lot of people could spit on the mics while they sing or rap which is totally understandable. The service isn’t bad either. I speak Korean well so I’ve had no problem but never seen the guys at the front deal with non-Korean speakers so I can’t say much about the service here. Bathroom is clean and tidy though! Parking is good too. I like this place better than Young Dong just because of their prices.

I ended up coming here because it was cheap. 10 dollar for a small room, 15 for medium room, and 20 dollars for large room. The only thing that is bad are the speakers because it may be too loud or not too loud. There are a lot of different selection of music to sing. Come here if you don’t have a lot of money.

I ended up here with a group of friends at about 1am on a Thursday night. It’s a cheap, decent karaōke place in K-Town. Chorus has a decent selection of music: plenty of Korean stuff, obviously, but also a good mix of Japanese, Chinese, and English songs(though only the more popular ones). The equipment wasn’t state-of-the-art, but worked well enough so long as you can read the Korean buttons. The room seemed okay, too, but I wasn’t paying too much attention to standards of cleanliness by this point in the night… Not sure about the reviews that claim they don’t serve alcohol: they have an ample supply of cheap soju in unmarked plastic water bottles, presumably because they don’t actually have a liquor license. This means they are also happy to continue serving these mystery bottles until well past 2am. They also don’t care if you buy booze or food elsewhere and bring it in, which is always nice. You are also free to smoke despite the prominent«no smoking» signs plastered up to placate the city, which makes me happy(at least when I’m drunk – the rest of the time, I’d hate it). Best of all, it’s cheap! Our group had a big room for two hours and only spent $ 50 including a bunch of the aforementioned mystery soju.

First of all, the only reason I’m giving this place a decent rating is because of the price and the parking. They have a parking lot and it’s never crowded, which is kind of rare for koreatown. It’s now 10 for a small room, 15 for a medium, etc. It used to be 5 for a small room, which was awesome, but they changed the machines. I think the quality is definitely lacking compared to the other nrb places in ktown, but hey for these prices it’s worth it. the last time i went was on a sunday night at 8:30 pm. the guy in the front was like any guy working the front of a nrb– uninterested and whatnot. no small room, so ok we’ll just pay a little more for the medium room.(even though there didn’t seem to be a lot of people there …) the mics weren’t working correctly. they kept going on and off and i had to keep trying to fix it, but the jacks on the wall seem broken or something. but you know what, i didn’t complain because it’s cheap and whatever we’re still having fun. and then we get out a little before 10:30 and our bill comes to 40. uhhh didn’t you say it was 15/hr? and he said happy hour ends at 10PM so our hour from 9:30 to 10:30 was charged 25. i was mad! you couldn’t have told us this when we asked the rates? yeah, whatever.

For $ 10 an hour, you can get a small karaōke room at Chorus. It’s big enough for about 4 people so this is a great deal. I was able to walk over after dinner at Man Kang so that’s another plus. The music selection is fairly limited if you don’t speak Korean. They have the classic English songs but not a lot of the newer hits. I was able to pretty much find all the Korean songs I was looking for except one. They don’t bother you to purchase anything either. We were there for almost 3 hours and no one bothered us. The total bill was only $ 26. I will definitely be back here again.

I’ve only come here for the happy hour. 6PM — Midnight $ 10 per hour for a small room $ 15 per hour for a medium room $ 20 per hour for a large room They used to have these super old crappy machines, and their prices were lower($ 5, $ 10, $ 15) but they upgraded to brand new machines, and that’s probably why they raised the price. However, it is still a great deal and the new machines sound great and have updated songs. However, they do not serve alcohol, so it saves you money since you don’t have to tip either. Not sure if they have the happy hour prices on the weekend. Parking is their own private lot, if you’re coming north on Western its on the right side.
