King of New York Pizzeria

It was standard Cali pizza. I’m from the east coast and this is DEFINITELY NOT NY Style Pizza. The closest I ever got to NY Style pizza was Joe’s Pizza on Hollywood.

Best Parking situation in Ktown on a Saturday night and I’ve been in LA for 22 years (like that even matters but this is Unilocal so I guess those are my credentials?)

The pizza itself is good however this review is based on their delivery service. The delivery guys are very unprofessional. Even though I am a regular customer these guys never seem to find my address and expect me to go up to the car to get my order. Its just not worth the hassle anymore.

Overall really good. Staff is very friendly and offers great service. Pizza is made fresh-​even if you ask for just a slice. Which is also nice, they sell by the slice. We also got all three flavors of wings (sweet n sour, buffalo, bbq) gigantic. Meat was good. Great place for a pizza fix.

First things first, KONY Pizzeria has free delivery, you hear that, and they say they deliver anywhere within reason – I have tested the former but not the latter because it’s in my area. It’s a late night, I want a large pizza fast, they have my information in their computers, and I can swipe my card when the pizza guy arrives at my building – this is what I will heretofore represent at a neighborhood joint. KONY is my jam – and I haven’t even got to the pizza – which is great, trust me, even if I have not had it sober, regardless, it’s perfectly fine pizza and it’s less than a hassle and I can get my large half cheese-​half pepperoni pie with minimal fuss and always quicker than they project: under promise, over deliver.

Great pizza but the Korean parking attendant needs lessons in cordiality and. Needs to learn English. Can’t imagine he has a green card

Do not order from these guys waited 30 min over delivery time and food still not here.

Caesar salad was chronic, there dressing is so good. Also pizza and boat knots worth every penny. Online ordering was painless & delivery was quick. I will be ordering again soon!

I personalized my pizza, mushroom, olives and jalapeño. It was a little too crispy (burnt) for me and I didn’t really like the tomato sauce and cheese ratio.

I’ve come back to KONY two times in the last two days and I feel like the quality has greatly improved. The garlic knots are no longer burned and the pizza by the slice is pretty tasty.
Over the last couple of days, my man and myself wanted to indulge in some local eats. We decided to grab some pizza. The first night, my man got 2 pepperoni and sausage and got me an eggplant and ricotta slice with garlic knots. I can’t speak for him, but the eggplant ricotta was so goooood. Like surprisingly good. The garlic knots weren’t burned either. I was a happy camper.
Last night, he did not want the soup I had prepared for dinner, so we went back to KONY. We got some Hawaiian slices, Meat Lovers, Margherita, and Eggplant Ricotta + garlic knots. The Hawaiian was ok, but the Eggplant Ricotta was just as divine as the night before. The garlic knots were also money.
If we have another craving besides what’s in my kitchen, we will be back. The only thing holding back a 5* rating is the price point is still not the best, but I guess I am like the Little Mermaid – I can’t have it all =(. I mean for 6 large slices + knots the total was $ 17 something, eh, not great but not terrible either.

Easy for free delivery in Koreatown. Delivery takes around 20 – 30 minutes. Delivers until late so definitely recommended when you’re hungry and nothing is open.

Damm that meatlovers pizza look so good. Hell yah. Love this place. the Caesars Salad and the spaghetti and meatballs are super tasty. Mann all this food and I can hear the scale in the bathroom ringing. Food for me has always been the best here. Loyal Since 2009. This is Not the Wilshire location. So turn around and go to 3^rd and western. There in the shopping center in the corner and their open late. Enjoy

I only came here once so I can only speak for that one time I was here. There’s a security guard who watches the parking lot and let’s just say he’s doing his job lol. I came here pretty late at night so they ran out of cheese slices so we got a slice with mushroom instead. $ 3.50 for a slice no tax I’m okay with that. I couldn’t believe garlic knots were only $ 1!!! I paid $ 6 elsewhere… $ 1 is a total bargain. I would have gotten like 10 orders if I hadn’t already eaten. Thank goodness I checked in Unilocal on my phone because there was a coupon for a free order of garlic knots!!! I was willing to pay $ 1 but free is better!!! The workers were really nice and you can tell they really love their job and customers. I’m definitely coming back if I’m in the neighborhood and wanna try other things on the menu.

This pizza spot is OK. I ordered a medium pepperoni, garlic and half anchovie (cuz I’m that guy). The pizza was just warm when I got it and when I got to the last slice it was cold as a witches titty. The side of Parmesan I added was literally a pinch, seriously, look at the picture. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it. I think they may actually use a thimble to measure out the portions. Btw, they forgot the garlic or maybe Frodo’s ring was touching it so it was invisible. The pizza wasn’t bad all things considered. So next was the garlic knots. I may be spoiled but I’ve had way better, even though others said how good they are. To me they were more like dough balls that had been lightly brushed with butter. They came with a side of marinara that was good. I didn’t eat the last two and I’m thinking of punting one off my balcony. Soooooo, the chicken wings! Not quite. The blue cheese sauce was runny. I think they might have ran out so they just poured some water in the empty bottle and gave it a good ol’ shake. I do the same thing with pasta sauce to get the last bit:) One reviewer mentioned that the buffalo sauce had BBQ in it and I think they are right. I’m a purist when it comes to hot wings bromosapian, sheesh. Anyways, its better than dominos, but not much.

KONY hasn’t done me wrong, ever. They don’t deliver to my neck of the woods, but my my homies live in East Hollywood and KONY is our staple for poker nights and sports watchin’. Just ordered a couple large pies and couldn’t be more satisfied! I guess the only issue is the name — it reminds me of that African war criminal guy and those public masturbators who made a movie about him. But other than that!

Good pizza for LA. Not NY but good for slices day n late night. They also serve slices of the night + free garlic knots with your Unilocal check in.

Let me tell you about the delivery order. I called in and ordered what I usually get. Mushroom, meatball and breaded eggplant. I usually get my pizza here if I want none dominos or little Cesar. I love the pizza but this time around the dough was not to what it use to be. It was very chewy! The taste was like whatever. Before it was so good. But today i don’t know if it’s the chef or what but the food didn’t have flavor.
The delivery people call you. Today I got a Florida number which I declined but thankfully he texted. Friendly dude.

Thank you NY pizzeria for delivering me cold pizza and wings after I waited over an hour and a half.
Oh and the free eye lash was an excellent topping choice!
