Delicious Korean chicken! They have multiple flavors, and the OG crispy, hot, and soy garlic are all good. I only had this as Togo, and sadly they charge $.50 for each item you buy): Getting a 10 piece will allow you to get two flavors and they also give a side of salad and pickled radish for less than $ 15.

We went to Dok Dok on saturday night and it was great. The weather felt cold at night so my sister and I decided we eat half chicken(8pcs $ 8.99)and Jjampong(spicy seafood noodle$ 9.99) they came out fast. We picked honey butter flavour for chicken and it was crispy and fresh. I didn’t mind the sweet taste, but my sister found it okay. Chicken was juicy and tender. The taste really reminded me of Korean honey butter chips. Jjampong was alright. It came with so much seafood topping, but noodle was alright. I think they use kalgooksu(Korean knife noodle) into their jjampong. It tasted okay overall. Portion was huge. We took some leftover fried chicken and ate some at our hotel the next day. Staff was really nice. I really had to charge my Iphone to call Über and he helped me charging my phone. I wish I can go back here for fried chicken, hopefully I can come back to LA next year or after.

I love me some fried chicken. I was hankering for some friend chicken after running errands and didn’t want the regular KFC or Popeyes.(Don’t judge me… nah. Yah you can). So I hopped onto Unilocal to see if there was any Korean fried chicken near me. Unilocal provided many suggestions, however, I selected to Dok Dok Chicken due to distance and convenience. First, just note that Dok Dok Chicken is housed the same shoppe as the noodle shoppe. If you see the sign and also see noodles, you found the right place. It is on the first level in the complex. I ordered a half order of the OG Crispy and fried rice. Yeah. Nothing goes better with fried chicken and fried rice. The fried chicken here is spicy. You really do not need additional sauce to add flavor to it. The chicken was fried crispy and hot to the touch. Yep. Made fresh and not placed under a heating lamp. I found the ordering a little confusing at first, since you order the size, sauce and then side. After a first time there, it should be easier. There is a bunch of tables there to dine in or better to take out. I waited 10 minutes for take out. Service — I found the service to be quick. Despite me not speaking Korean(not that you really need to speak it), I found the process easy and the staff helpful. Parking — lots of parking in the private lot.

Dok dok is a definite don’t don’t. I’ve had tried quite a few Ktown Chinese-Korean fusion restaurants including jaja mein at the Ktown Galleria food court. Dok Dok served up the absolutely worst jaja mein I’ve ever had. Why? The noodles were not freshly cooked; they were already pre-cooked, waiting to be served. They came out within a few minutes of putting in our order. Yes, it was quick but I rather wait for freshly cooked noodles. When we got our noodles, they were hard and stuck together as it was pretty obvious they sat too long in the pot. The black bean sauce was bland but frankly, our noodles were lukewarm at best and decimated the entire dish. I could have driven down to the galleria for a far superior bowl of noodles for about the same price. The wings were unremarkable. They weren’t anything to write home about. We tried the spicy soy garlic and OG. My rubric for Korean wings are taste and crispness of the breading, and size of the wings. BBQ Chicken has better wings. The fried dumplings were pretty good but man, that ja ja mein really killed the mood for the rest of the dinner. The only real highlight was the polite service but unfortunately, that alone not enough to bring me back or recommend to anyone. Keep this in mind, I hate to give mom and pop operations a low rating but if you operate with poor practices, I can’t help to be honest. If it wasn’t for the bad noodles which can be easily avoided, it would be a 3-star place.

First time tried dok dok chicken and I was very impressed! Best chicken place ever in ktown! I’m sad that I just found this place out. I got the original fried chicken and the spicy soy garlic chicken. The fried chicken was great! very juicy and well seasoned and their spicy soy garlic chicken is the bomb!!! omg It’s quite spicy but not too much. I would definitely come back to dok dok for sure.

Always passed by this location when it was another chicken restaurant. Thought of the place and walked in with my friend and realized the management changed. We still stayed and decided to try it out. Korean fusion Chinese food + Korean fried chicken was their specialty. Thought that was a cool combo. V recommend Jjampong(spicy noodles in soup) best I’ve ever had Jjajang myun(black bean noodles) really tasty Steamed kimchi dumplings — the inside was packed with ingredients and was so flavorful Chicken Leg — got two flavors. The original & soy sauce. So heavenly I was skeptical since their Chinese food tastes good thinking only one would be their seller… I was so wrong! The chicken was super crunchy and was made of big pieces if chicken like most of all the Korean chicken. The prices were not cheap though but one leg/wing meat amount was equivalent to 2 – 4 times other places…(kyo chon as a reference but I love kyochon too) Heard from the owner that their specialty is the Chinese food but the previous owner sold chicken That was too good to give up so they took over. Just didn’t like how we had to order the sweet radish and it wasn’t given with the order.

$ 20 for 20 Wings :’)(Served two people) may sound expensive, but that’s very decent for large Korean style wings that are amazing quality! $ 1 per bowl of rice And $ 2 for required valet parking :/ This is the only downside. Small little restaurant with like three restaurants in one(Korean noodle place with jjangmyun; dok dok with Korean wings; and some boba place). Def would try this place out :) very great for the price.

They’re so nice! My first thought about their service. From taking your order, to refilling your water and bringing out your food, they’re soooo nice. Customer service: definite 5 stars. Food: 1. Spicy seafood soup noodles — ginormous bowl of spicy goodness, nice kick of spice. 5 stars. 2. Steamed meat dumplings — pretty good, better than the pan fried ones; It comes in meat or kimchee, both are good; but the pan fried is too oily, stick to steam for the health conscious. 4 stars. 3. 20 pieces of wings — we chose the spicy soy garlic, and Honey butter sauce. Both are great, nice crunch with a kick of spice. 5 stars. Simple, no frills, great food at phenomenal prices! Excellent service, you’ll definitely have some food left over to take home. They have typical ktown valet parking, or street parking. Highly recommend! Overall 4.5 stars.

OG Crispy! Don’t mess around with the other BS flavors. If you like great fried chicken with no frills, I suggest getting a whole chicken with the og crispy option. Crispy breading with a tender inside. If you’re lazy like me, they deliver!

I love me some Korean fried chicken. Food: soy spicy garlic chicken wings and original flavor, pan fried dumplings. Dumplings were ok, spicy garlic wings were good and greasy but the original flavor was ok, not amazing. Service: Nice staff helped a homeless guy while i was there. Take out still took 20min Parking: chaotic but there’s a valet guy Tip: If you do takeout, order ahead or it’s a 20 min wait.

Take my advice: Forget the sauces and get the OG Crispy — that’s the good stuff. It takes 20 minutes to fry so don’t come starving(or get some appetizers to tide you over). Dok Dok is on some of the«top fried chicken in Los Angeles» lists and I have to imagine it’s the OG Crispy that earned them the spot on those lists. We found the sauces to be distracting and overpowering. Between the two we tried, we preferred the Spicy Soy Garlic, and were not partial to the Honey Butter(it’s VERY sweet, like eating a donut — but it’s chicken — and it’s just weird). Dok Dok is in the same spot as a Boba Place and Lee’s Noodles so you can order off any of the 3 menus on the same bill. The potstickers and seafood /rice were both pretty good, which was a pleasant surprise since we were there exclusively for the fried chicken. It’s not a bad idea to split a noodle dish and some fried chicken. Between 5 people we shared: ½ chicken OG Crispy 20 Wings– ½ Honey Butter Flavor and ½ Spicy Soy Garlic Potstickers Seafood & Rice It was $ 12 per person(after a 20% tip) and we had leftovers. Now I call that a deal!

Went here when I was craving some Korean fried chicken! They have fried chicken in various flavors and seasonings(spicy sauce, plain, etc) and also a separate menu for appetizers like mandu(dumplings) and jjajangmyun, champon, etc. Food took a while to get to us, but the chicken was super good! Very crispy and yummy. ^_^ One thing though… don’t get the boba. The pearls are like rocks. XD

I found myself nibbling every edible millimeter off of each wing until it was just bare bonez… BOWLSOFRICE — $ 1 each — 5⁄5 — rice is rice 10PIECEWINGS — $ 10.99 — 5⁄5 — Tried Honey Butter and Spicy Soy… was I crazy or did the honey butter also have a kick to it? Be warned — Spicy Soy for me was close to borderline too spicy, and i can usually take a considerable amount of heat! Not cute if you’re here for a first date and your boogers are running down your face but your hands are too sticky with dank sauce to wipe em away… BUTWERETHEYGOOD? Yes. Very solid set of wings. Honey Butter could’ve used a little more umami — oomph flavor cuz it srsly tasted like… well…uh, honey butter but still yummy. Just wish they had a smidge more crunch factor. POTATOWEDGES — $ 3.99 — 4⁄5 — Yummy, makes for a cute couple with da wings. Not a *must* but still yum. — TOTALTOFEED2: $ 21.51, a good dinner deal to me! Customer service was extremely polite and attentive — water refills were on POINT! MYONLYCOMPLAINT — Pickled daikon was WAAAAAAY too pickly and acidic. Like a punch in the face«WOOOeeEE– that woke me up!» typa thing. I usually lick any banchan im given clean but this one i did NOT want to finish. Parking — Valet for $ 2 FINALVERDICT — Is it da bReast KFC of my life? No, my mind is still mindf&^%ed by Bonchon chicken. And I wasn’t as wow-ed by the first bite as I was with Kyochon. But still — fingerlickin’ good chicken that is definitely worth coming back to!

I’ve been on a Korean Fried Chicken craze lately, so I wanted to check this place out. Parking is the usual K-town affair — circle for 5 – 10 minutes looking for street parking, then give up and cave in to valet. The wings here are good — not great, but good. I’d say mostly because the asian sauces are korean crazy spicy(soy garlic and glazed), the honey sauce is so sweet it tastes like a dessert, and the buffalo sauce is too american. If they had a soy garlic sauce that was mild spicy that would make the wings great. Our favorite though, was the unlimited thinly chopped salad with dressing on top. We ended up eating a couple bowls of it to offset the deep fried-ness of the wings. Also — service here is great. Very nice and accommodating.

They should call their OG crispy ODB crispy instead — — — — — — — - Welcome all to 2016! After deservedly taking a long respite from the NYE festivities, our bellies suddenly decided that it wanted Korean fried chicken. And then we thought of our time back in the East Coast, when we would make weekend trips to the Big Apple, accentuated by Bön Chon Chicken, karaōke, and walking around the city aimlessly… Mmm, spicy garlicky wings, potent enough to ward off Count Chocula! After a bit of Unilocaling(of course!), we found this place. It’s a bit confusing, because it is a THREE in one establishment — «Chinese» noodles, Korean fried chicken, and Italian gelato. We got five drumsticks and 10 wings. The drumsticks and 5 of the wings were«OG crispy», while the remaining 5 wings were soy ginger. See receipt image — they charge $ 1 to go fee. Boo. I liked how I still heard the crackle as I got the to go order. But I think they should have called it ODB(Old Dirty Bastard) crispy. The thing was molasses brown, almost burnt to a crisp! The sauce less drumsticks tasted ok, nothing special. Just salt. The soy ginger, however, was savory, sweet, and spicy. Although, the wings looked like they were beaten up severely before frying — what’s up with that?(4 out of 5 wings had a broken radius bone) This was an average experience. Not bad, not great. And certainly no Bön Chon. 3 stars.

Tick tok, it’s time for some Dok Dok! Dok Dok is located in a plaza and can be confusing because there’s three franchises in this restaurant. One is Lee’s Noodles, boba, and Dok Dok. Ordered some black bean noodles which was delightfully chewy and had a lot of garlic taste. I would order that again! They have half/whole chicken as well as drumsticks and wings. I would recommend getting the wings so that you can get two flavors(you can only get 1 flavor with the half chicken). Got the spicy soy glaze and honey butter. We opted for spicy glaze and honey butter wings. Both were great. The wings here are very crisp, probably double fried, and had a light batter that’s probably made from rice flour instead of regular flour. Loved the pickles and slaw that came on the side. It’s free! Service here is good. Helpful upon ordering. Overall, I’d come back.

My friends and I had a random craving for korean fried chicken and came across this one. It’s located in a small plaza with limited parking, and is a little confusing — there’s no large sign that indicated DOKDOKCHICKEN. Luckily, we read another Unilocaler’s review about it being one of those combo places like the combo Pizza Hut/Taco Bell places — on the 1st floor towards the end of the plaza, look for a casual food court-looking store. It’s like a 3-in-1 restaurant. We split an order of the honey butter wings and the spicy soy garlic wings. The spicy soy garlic wings were FREAKENGOOD. Quite possibly my favorite korean fried chicken wings flavor… ever. It’s not too spicy, but the savory, garlicky goodness was so good and the wings were extra crispy! Honey butter wings were also delicious, slightly sweet with some umami notes. Definitely recommend both, though the spicy soy garlic was the crowd favorite. How do they manage to fry it to crisp perfection, while maintaining juiciness? I don’t know, but I would definitely recommend these wings!

I’ve been craving Korean Fried Chicken(KFC) for some time and have been looking for a great version of one. Of course, nothing beats the Bonchon I had at Boka in NYC, but, I’m always hoping for one better. Dok Dok is located in a plaza on Vermont and 4th Street. The restaurant can be confusing because there’s three franchises in this restaurant. One is Chinese, boba, and Dok Dok. Interesting and weird at the same time. They have half/whole chicken as well as drumsticks and wings. Friend chicken here is crispy with a light batter with different flavors: spicy glaze, spicy soy glaze, buffalo, and honey butter. We opted for spicy glaze and honey butter wings. Both were great. The wings aren’t big and you can get some that are small. The flavors though are delicious. The sides here are coleslaw, white and fried rice, potato wedges, and fried egg. Fried rice is pretty good with a nice fried char flavor. On the menu photo, the fried egg is tempura with yolk not cooked the whole way but not runny. What came out was way overcooked. I’d skip. Service here is good. Helpful upon ordering. Overall, I’d come back.

Parking lot is valet only which is so common in Koreatown that I don’t even care anymore. The place was a little confusing at first because it’s essentially 3 places in one like those Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut joints where they combine everything lol. So you can order fried chicken, noodles, dumplings, and boba here. My boyfriend and I got the whole chicken, which is essentially an entire chicken cut up into 16 pieces. We got half in spicy soy garlic and half in honey butter. We also got the potato wedges and some boba! I got horchata tea while he got the taro. Overall, I really enjoyed it! The chicken was juicy and really well seasoned. The spicy spy garlic was really spicy in the beginning but the other pieces weren’t as spicy for some reason haha. The honey butter was a little too sweet at times so I wish they gave us rice as a side haha. They also give you coleslaw as a side so that helps cut the sauce flavor. The potato wedges were seasoned well and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. My favorite! I was pretty impressed with the milk tea. The horchata was a little too sweet but the nice cinnamon and milk flavored were really prominent. My boyfriend’s taro milk tea tasted like authentic taro too. Would definitely go here again!

4.5 stars On my visit up to LA i was debating between Roscoe’s chicken & waffles and Dok Dok Chicken. Dok means chicken in Korean, so the name of the place is Chicken, Chicken, Chicken; and since there was only one mention of chicken at Roscoe’s, i headed over to Dok Dok Chicken. =P I got 5 drumsticks for about $ 10. You can choose just original crispy(with no sauce) or a choose between a bunch of different sauces(one choice per order.) I went with the spicy garlic, it was not so spicy but very tasty and flavorful, one of the best Korean Chicken I’ve had outside of Korea. The crust is so crispy and the inside so moist and tender and their sticky, gooey, tasty spicy garlic sauce is out of this world. Oh man, talk about finger licking good! I just wish they served it as a meals, say 2 or 3 drumsticks, rice and some sides as a complete meal rather than just offering everything ala cart. Next time i’ll order the 10 piece wings and get the spicy crispy(no sauce) you can get up to 2 flavors with the wings which is a good way to try more than one flavor. Dok Dok Chicken is located in a strip mall and shares it’s dining area with a noodle shop and a boba drink place so it took a few seconds to figure out where the place was. Service was friendly and helpful. They do cook it to order so be prepared to wait 10 minutes or so as they double fry the chicken to get that awesome crispy batter. Its totally worth it though so be patient. I love me some KFC! I’m talking about KOREAN Fried Chicken not Kentucky Fried Chicken!
