Very small place, But if you are looking for pupusas… This is the place! They used to give the pupusas on paper bags, But now they pack them properly. The pupusas are the only thing I recommend from this place. On Thursdays they have pupusas for a dollar.

Right around the corner from my place. I had a tasty carne asada taco combo plate for 7 bucks. Satisfied enough. Very friendly service and a lot less hectic than El Taurino across the street!

Ok so since I eat paleo I get the same thing at every salvadorean restaurant I go to: eggs with salsa, chorizo, and fried banana. This was the best rendition of THAT I have ever had. SOOOO good! Cannot attest to anything else, but my usual at el nazareno was bomb. Only 4 stars because the card machine wasn’t working.

We got chicken tacos. Yummy. We were not warned about the card machine being down — had to go across street to grab cash.

This place is in the middle of a TINY plaza. We had: cheese pupusa($ 2) — ok chicharron pupusa($ 2) — blah beef burrito($ 4) — where’s the beef? and this is the first burrito I had that had lettuce in it. O. o I found that very weird. weirdER than not having beef when it’s called a beef burrito. haha They packed our pupusas together. like in one parchment paper. didn’t even bother separating them. when we opened it up at home the 2 pupusas became 1. –_– Noticed they had a lot of ‘specials’ depending on which day you go. Monday — mojarra frita for $ 5 Tuesdays and Thursdays — pupusas for $ 1 Wednesday — damn. I forgot about this one. something for $ 5 (obviously. it wasn’t something I’d get: P)
