It’s an absolutely fantastic place IF you’re looking to have a couple conversations with some rude employees. 2 stars is for the décor but other than that, the rules they enforce can make a person feel like they are in a public prison

Terrible terrible place. Wouldn’t serve a woman who walked in with her baby in the 100 degree heat. Also, their coffee is terrible

If I could give no stars, I would. Incredibly poor service for a mediocre experience. I’m not sure how this place stays in business, but I imagine it won’t be long before something else replaces it in the mile. Here’s hoping.

They kicked a women out because she came in from the 100 degree weather with her baby. The woman asked for juice and they kicked her out saying no kids. Really?

Outlandish rules for operation. I do hope to witness this place go out of business. LA Mommies strong!

Here, I’ll break it down for you… * EXTREMELY slow wifi * One purchase required per 1.5 hours of wifi * No outside food or drink allowed(including water bottles) * Rude, patronizing signs everywhere explaining above rules * Dirty tables * Mediocre drinks

BEAUTIFULPLACE with decent music But that is it. Lame staff and the world’s worst soy iced mocha. Nearly flavorless — perhaps a single shot and a drop of mocha syrup.

I will NEVER come back to this coffee shop. The owner is extremely rude and I was harassed by him and the worker at the counter. I was waiting on a friend to arrive and asked about the wifi. They told me unless I ordered a drink I was not able to get the wifi code. I told them I was just waiting on a friend and the owner basically told me I could get out! That he didn’t want my business. I was so confused! He was so rude and I was embarrassed by the way he treated me. When you think of enjoying a cup of coffee and meeting a friend to discuss business. This is definitely not the vibe you want. There is ZERO customer service and I strongly recommend going to a coffee shop that makes you feel welcomed. This place was terrible!

The best coffee shop I’ve ever been too. Not sure why anyone is complaining. It’s a private store and they have their own rules. If you can’t abide by them then go elsewhere. Amazing atmosphere, free parking, quiet and professional/clean people inside… what else can you ask for? Can’t really comment on the coffee much because I’m not a big coffee drinker. I came here expecting to pay for a coffee which is more-so paying for the location. I will admit that the staff did seem like they hate their lives and didn’t really care to be a little cheerful. the look on the workers face made it seem like a task for him to take my order. All in all, i would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone. Ignore the negative reviews.

The coffee is good, but the baristas generally seem like they’d prefer if you didn’t exist. It wasn’t too crowded and parking is usually easy, and it’s a decent atmosphere for getting work done. However, when I went in today, I paid $ 5.75 for a soy latte(they only have one size) — which is already a little steep, and the cup wasn’t even full which is incredibly irritating.

I don’t mind the fact that those under 18 are not welcome or that the owner/management needs to make signs instructing patrons on every little thing. A bit controlling, but hey, I don’t much care and it is a private business — and all the things that have outraged folks here on Unilocal,is easily resolved by just not spending your money here. Had a very nice coffee by the fireplace. If in the neighborhood, I would have a coffee here again.

I used to love coming here w/my 7yr old daughter… until today. We were turned away b/c of a «no one under 18» policy. Seriously, it’s a coffee shop. My daughter was baffled and the only explanation I could muster up was that they created a discriminatory policy based on a stereotype. Which is tragically unfortunate.

Me and my boyfriend are always up for trying out different cafes, he took me here and I loved it! The décor was trendy and modern. I ordered a coconut latte and honestly it was probably one of the best coconut lattes I’ve ever had. Barista was very friendly and also very quick. Defiantly will be returning, I absolutely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in LA. I really love the quiet atmosphere here, with soft jazz music playing it’s a great place to come for some peaceful coffee drinking. The all white aesthetic is very visually pleasing, and I find their drinks to be exceptional; albeit a bit small for the price. I do think that the«one-size» part makes for a better coffee though, as it leaves out any guessing on the part of the barista. Very consistent and fantastic. I also really enjoy the revolving art show on the walls. Some people are appalled by the rules which causes them to rate graffiti low for it, and I am glad those people don’t frequent this establishment. If you can’t respect a company’s wishes, then don’t go there.

Well, this has been the coolest caffé experience ever. When I walked in, I felt like I was Zoolander with an entourage. I only needed pursed lips, gelled hair, and tight leather pants. I really like this ultra relaxed chic space!!! No kids allowed. You must 18 and over to ride their coffee train! It’s a bit pricey. My latte with a pump or so of vanilla was $ 5.70 but it was scrumptious in every way!!!

One of the strangest café experiences ever… I came here with a friend hoping to stay for a long period of time to get some work done, however to be able to use their wifi, you need to buy a drink(okay, sounds fair). Right off the bat, the cashier that helped us out already seemed impatient with us. I don’t know if it’s because we looked younger or if that’s just how they treat their customers. I can assure you we are over 18, because afterall, no one under the age of 18 is allowed in(there’s a sign that says so before entering the café). Drinks were waayy overpriced and especially for the service, I don’t think so. My friend and I each got a drink because we needed our own wifi passwords to get access to the internet. We planned on staying here for at least three hours since we had a lot of work to complete but the wifi gave us a time limit: about an hour and a half. Really? I mean maybe they do that because it can get busy but when were were there, there were a lot of empty seats still. Anyway, I thought that was unnecessary. Overall, my experience here was OK. The vibe was really weird and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’m giving this place 2 stars: one for the really nice décor and another for the bomb ass drink«Sister Midnight.»

The décor is beautiful, the employees were professional and nice, though I will agree with everyone’s comments that this place is not a «warm and inviting» café. Which is great, I can get that anywhere else. Probably my new favorite spot, nice and quiet, I could see designing away for hours in here. The Midnight Sister was an expensive mocha but worth it — a rich and dark chocolate mocha that was slightly chalky from the chocolate. Excellent. There are PLENTY of places to grab coffee in la with your kids, it seems many Unilocal moms on here are having a fucking meltdown because just once there is an establishment that wants a quieter, more professional atmosphere. The rating is low because there are a bunch of people who decided that they want this establishment to be more bohemian, but isn’t the point of trying out new businesses to experience them for what they are? It’s a shame so many Unilocalers are entitled, but 2 seconds of reading all these immature reviews with way too many caps and adjectives is enough to make me downgrade this coffee shop for not having hard liquor after subjecting myself to their writing

******edited on March 19th2016**** I just got a very rude, insulting, and abusive message from«Tyler F.» and clearly sounded like either the employee or owner… In addition to the review below, please note that being harassed and verbally abused is not helpful. Take your constructive criticism and go dude. ************* Put it to you this way, there is a large sign that says«NOONE under 18 may enter» and that doesn’t go over very well for moms who NEED their DOSE of coffee. I just wanted to order something to go, but the sign made it clear that my 9 year old son and I weren’t welcome. I said aloud that that business is ageist, and explained what that meant. He and I had a very good discussion about ageism. So thanks at least for that. What’s interesting to me is as we walked away, my son eloquently turned to me and said, «Gee Mom, I would have waited in the car so you could get your cup of coffee. I know that makes you happy.». The fact that he was mature enough to say and do such things purely means he wouldn’t have disrupted anyone in their«precious» establishment had we been able to set foot inside. Disappointed, to say the least… I also understand kids shouldn’t be welcome EVERYWHERE, but after reading the numerous Unilocal reviews I am realizing that NOBODY likes this place. Can’t wait until it’s gone.
