THISRESTAURANTROBBEDMERIGHTBEFOREMYEYES! What a complete and utter joke! I’d rather chew on the germ-infested arm rest of the airplane then spend $ 10.50 on a half a cup of vegetables here again!

I was flying out of LAX early on a Monday morning when I found Real Food Daily in the terminal! How awesome is this?! Real Food Daily is a vegan restaurant with three locations around the Los Angeles area. But, I guess now this is the fourth. Founded on the principles of serving high-quality, organic, plant-based foods, this restaurant is known for its delicious and healthful cuisine. So, I couldn’t help but check out their menu in the airport. It’s pretty simple. They serve a burrito, platter, and sandwich for breakfast and soups, sandwiches, wraps, and burgers for lunch. Luckily, the line was short and soon I realized why. Holy moly — they are expensive! I chose the RFD Burrito for $ 16.50! I kept it and brought it onto the plane and dug in around lunchtime. This whole wheat tortilla was filled with scrambled tofu, roasted potatoes, black beans, peppers, and cashew cheese. It was supposed to come with guacamole and pico de gallo. I only got the pico de gallo. The grilled burrito was filling and satisfying, but definitely not as good as a burrito costing $ 16.50 should be. And the fact that they forgot my guac made me grumpy. I’d say it wasn’t worth the money, but, quite frankly, I’d buy it again because it is fresh, organic, vegan food in the airport and there sure ain’t a lot of competition in that market. And their drink selection is pretty good.

I enjoyed my quick little airport lunch from Real Food. Having such a good, healthy restaurant option while traveling is very important to me. The menu of fresh items looked tasty, but I only ate from the to-go cooler. My cold soba noodle salad was delicious. The dressing was a mild peanutty concoction, and the noodles were surprisingly springy for being pre-made and cold. My beet-fruit juice was good, a little odd, but not in an off-putting way(though I don’t think they make it there). My only issue with the place is the price. Twenty-two dollars for a juice and noodles seems pretty ridiculous to me. Sure, airport prices are notoriously excessive. That doesn’t mean I will not complain about it or just accept it. But, trapped and hungry, I would definitely eat there again.

Love this place! The only plant base food in the airport! The food is delicious and the people working there are very friendly.

Real Food Daily is located in Americal Airlines terminal 4. I usually get food at Lemonade in terminal 5 but I wanted to try something else. They offer Mexican style healthier food. I had a buritto bowl with no beans but instead tofu and it came out $ 25…with discount $ 23 tax included. I thought thats’s quite expensive for a take out food but it was so delicious and lasted me 1.5 meals. The glaze on tofu was so yummy and it was very filling. The employees are nice too. I deducted one star for the price but this place is going to be my number 2 place at LAX, next to Lemonade.

As I write this I’m sitting in LAX having lunch at this place. Real Food Daily is more of a kiosk, really… Wedged in at the back of a space that has the dining areas of other restaurants located on both sides and in front of it. Basically Real Food Daily has a cooler with pre-made sandwiches, salads and yogurt along with a variety of drinks. I grabbed a small club wrap that had been smashed into a plastic container, a bottle of tea and also asked for an oatmeal cookie. I went to pay and was told the total was nearly $ 23. WHAT? $ 23 for a smallish pre-made wrap, drink and cookie at a kiosk with no real seating save for a seating rail with maybe 6 or 8 seats off to the side? I went to grab napkins, they had no dispenser either at the counter or where the seating was located. When I went to leave I searched for a trash can. The only one here at Real Food had an opening too small to accept the plastic container my wrap had been smashed into, so I ended up going to one of the adjoining restaurants and disposing of my trash there as I walked through. In all a crap experience from start to finish, where I was financially sodomized $ 11 for a small, less than mediocre wrap, $ 5 for a bottle of tea and $ 5 for an oatmeal cookie that was so dry that I’m sure it will scrape hard against the walls of my colon and exit my sphincter as a dry and clumpy mess when I pass it later. Not recommended.

Updating my review. I still maintain it is awesome to have an RFD at the airport and I still believe the prices are RIDICULOUS. It’s Sophie’s Choice every time. Do I get the Southwest Salad and a Protein Bowl OR… do I pay rent this month? Easy choice: I get the No-Huevos Rancheros and a side of kale and just hide when the landlord shows up. Seriously they are expensive — even for airport food. And they STILL don’t have my Caesar with Blackened Tempeh which is Depression City. It makes it that much more painful to shell out all that money for not the thing I truly want. If you want to do a made-to-order you need to plan extra time for that. And since time is not always a luxury we have at airports when you’re in a bind you have to grab-and-go with whatever they have in the pre-made counter. Today, time was not on my side and I got the Yin Yang Salad. Expensive as usual and tasty, but not as good as my beloved Caesar. It was decent. And the tofu is less salty than the tempeh in the Caesar so if sodium is a concern for you that’s good news. End Update.

The Service: One cashier. Few bar stools. Majority to go orders. The Food: A little pricier than other food vendors. Most items are over $ 10. for example, burritos close to $ 15. Maybe because it is vegan food?

I just walked almost a mile from the furthest away terminal just so I could eat at this awesome ALLVEGAN spot. Totally worth it. Tasty food options. This little vegan is happy & very full, with food for the long plane ride as well. Of course this place is grossly overpriced. First of all, it’s an all vegan establishment. When do we not get exploited? This is nothing new. Second of all, it’s in an airport. Prices alllllll go up in the airport. Go order your regular venti blah blah blah at you know where, & it will be more expensive at their airport café than at their regular ones. Haters, just don’t eat here. This place is awesome

What a rip off. My wife found s healthy breakfast place here and bought us two sandwiches to eat at the gate. We both agreed the food was beyond tasteless actually disgusting. And she eats all that healthy kale stuff all the time. And it only cost $ 45 … Yikes Food options in Terminal 4 are awful … Starbucks and McDonalds are obviously not cool enough for this AA terminal. Avoid this restaurant at all cost.

It can be pretty difficult to find meat and dairy free food when you’re at an airport. To my delight, I stumbled upon Real Food Daily today at LAX. Oh my gosh. Try the spicy tofu wrap and then reward yourself on that good decision by splurging on the chocolate cake! It’s absolutely incredible. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it.

twas a lovely surprise to be able to patronize a vegan establishment whilst waiting for my flight. my tofu wrap with peanut sauce was fresh and tasty, and the accompanying greens were a delight. my brownie was just ok. more of a bittersweet profile as opposed to a semisweet. the price, though, for aforementioned treats, along with a large water, ended up being almost $ 30 with tax! i still can’t figure out how it added up to be so high! so, would i go again? probably not. i would try to find a more affordable vegan option elsewhere… but more likely this won’t ever be on my radar again since i plan to avoid american airlines like the plague. :)

It is costly … But worth it. Grabbing a healthy bite before heading to DC for work and happy this is an option. Again, it’s pricey — but delicious. In Terminal 4. Burgers. Wraps. Salads. Desserts. Green juices. Waters. Coffees. Organic and vegan. Lots of GF options.

I love this place! I don’t have a RFD near me so when I come to the airport, I try to come hungry! Sure, it’s expensive, especially to someone who doesn’t eat vegan or organic, but I personally this it’s worth it! This morning I ordered the RFD Sammie. It was a tofu«egg» with tempeh bacon, cashew cheese, avocado, and tomato on a sprouted bun! So good!!! The cheese is super creamy, no one would know it’s not real cheese. I chose to get the side salad over the potatoes. It was just mixed greens. The guy working there was friendly and very quick but clearly hated his job… But I honestly can’t blame him because I’m not sure his place gets too busy. Anyways, food will definitely bring me back!

I greatly appreciate healthy, clean, vegetarian/vegan options in airports. I don’t usually fly out of this terminal, so was psyched to get to grab some clean food on the plane, knowing vegetarian plane fare is always so-so. It honestly wasn’t the yummiest or tastiest and is a big pricey, but this is an airport, and this is LA, so… yes. I was down. Vegetable Miso soup was less misoy and more … watery? Bowl with brown rice, kale, and tofu was very basic and clean Vegan chocolate chip cookie was too cakey/crumbly for me So you know, as I’m remembering it, the food was NOT very good. So maybe 3 stars is generous, but that being said, I’d probably order it again if I knew I’d need something veggie-friendly to eat on the plane, so 3 stars it is.

I totally appreciate having a healthy, organic food option at the airport, but after my experience yesterday, I totally question the quality of their cleanliness and food. I paid $ 17 for the LAX bowl(brown rice, black beans, romaine lettuce, some salsa, etc). Four bites into my bowl, I bite onto something really hard. I spit it out and found a big black ROCK!

RFD at LAX is A-OK! As a fan of RFD, I’ve frequented the Santa Monica location and ate many a delicious meal. I was super excited to be flying out of(and into) Terminal 4 for Thanksgiving travels because it meant that I would get to check out RFD’s LAX location. I got to experience the LAXRFD not once, not twice, but three times within one week. – Visit #1 Picked up a slice of Vegan Carrot Cake before leaving on a jet plane. Super delicious, moist, great flavors, generous portion but YIKES the price at $ 8.67 a slice! – Visit #2 Flew back to LA with a lunchtime appetite and after spending the week in Kentucky, a place scarce of vegan options, I was looking forward to bingeing on vegan eats. Ordered the LAX bowl and a Chocolate Chip Cookie before heading home. Spent a crazy $ 21 which I was less than happy about. But I was very happy with my meal. The LAX Bowl involved black beans, brown rice, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo, and a cashew sauce. It also came with a cilantro-lime dressing but I don’t think it needs it. It’s already yummy on its own. The portion size is huge and ended up feeding me for lunch and dinner. I recommend sharing this one with a friend. – Visit #3 Technically I did not visit RFD but the best BF ever surprised me with dinner from RFD when I picked him up from LAX! Sadly, the Pasa Bowl was kinda plain-jane. The quiona was the best part. The breaded seitan was weirdly tough and chewy. The veggies(cauliflower, carrots, snap peas) didn’t add any excitement. The size wasn’t as impressive as the LAX Bowl either. This also comes with cilantro-lime dressing which barely helps the dish. I suggest skipping this dish entirely. However I was way happy that the BF also got me a slice of their Vegan Chocolate Cake. Rich dark chocolatey flavor but sadly it was a bit on the dry side. I’m hoping it was just a fluke considering the moistness of their Carrot Cake. So I’d probably give the chocolate cake another go. Especially since it looks so good. Overall, I’m a fan! The menu is a bit different than other RFDs so it’s cool to check out what the LAX menu offers. Prices are steep but it’s a good vegan option for me. While the items were a bit hit and miss, this is one of the better airport meals I’ve had and definitely the best LAX food I’ve ever had.

I heard about this place from a Vegan blogger I follow and was excited to come check it out since I was going to be at the airport a week after she wrote about it. I found it pretty easily in a food court area in Terminal 4. They had a good selection of food available and it was all Vegan, Non-GMO & Organic… so I was very happy about that! That has me written all over it! haha. I ordered the RFD Burger and it was delicious. It was a veggie black bean burger with lettuce, sautéed onions and peppers and a yummy sauce! It also came with a side salad. I was taken aback from the prices though. It was pretty pricey. I thought it was pricey because it was the airport, but it looks like the menu on the website lists those prices as well. So, I guess I can’t expect cheap because of what it is, but still — I’ve had cheaper comparable food. Oh well, I still like it and will still buy from it haha.

OMG! So very happy to have a choice of amazing healthy food at the airport. I would not have even known it was the there if not for a sign in the corridor outside the food court. I do miss Starbucks as now there is no real coffee place in this terminal, but adding a Real food Daily makes up for it. I ordered a BLT — and for you non-vegetarians there is NOBACON in this BLT but it tastes like there is. Trust me, you won’t know the difference. Loved the Aioli and avocado. Took it with me on the plane and it was delicious. If you have been to an RFD, you might be a little shocked at the prices. It is not cheap fast food — it’s real healthy well made food and you are paying for quality. It is hidden away behind the burger spot. DOS8÷28÷14

Im a soup person and when I fly, I try to keep meals light too, so I’ve overpaid many times for oily soups that dont end up being too light anyways. But this place offers a Country Vegetables Miso Soup! Don’t sound like they go together but its pretty good! It’s basically a miso based veggie soup with pieces of Celery, carrots and onions. For $ 5 its a very reasonable price at the airport. The guy that took my order was friendly and told me he made it «extra chunky» for me. Apparently, they ran out of bowls so it was served in a large coffee cup.
