Out of business, as far as I know. Call first. I used to go partially for the best roasted chicken around. Very good food with a sweet touch of class. Super desserts as well.

I came here for an impromptu dinner and thought the entire experience was better than expected. We came here on a weekday, so the place had plenty of seating, candles were not in shortage and the place felt nice and cozy so any attire would be appropriate. We ordered the lard on bread and it was delicious. The lard was sliced paper thin and topped on a perfectly fried ball of dough that was crispy on the outside and soft and airy inside. I would definitely recommend it! We also ordered grilled Pluots topped with barrata cheese which was my favorite. It was like an ode to capris salad with a hipster twist just like this neighborhood joint seemed to promise. Our last dish was mussels with sausage was very tasty and we finished the sauce with some table bread of course. A place I would like to try again.

I ate here once it was pretty good. Had beer once, not bad. Everytime i’ve come back its been closed and this time it had paper over the windows. Hope they are renovating and not just gone. Bummer dudes.

I love this place. It’s right down the street and it’s very cute. The service is also great. But the food is definitely average. It’s kind of a crapshoot when we go if the food will be good or not. Unfortunately ambiance doesn’t exactly make up for bad food, but it’s still a really great hangout spot especially if you just want to hang out for coffee or mimosas. Edit: I’m sad they were closed down. Was kind of a matter of time though :/I wish they’d had the opportunity to get better.

Had a very nice dinner here. Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was nice. You can tell when dishes are made with fresh ingredients and care. Great selection of vegetarian items.

Came here for brunch with friends. The portions are huge and the food is pretty good. 3 of us got the yam biscuit with prosciutto and we all liked it. My husband thought the omelet was just okay. The service was alright, but they were kind enough to take 30% off our order after a mixup with getting our food out. For brunch Red Hill is A-OK.

I love it here. Good food, great portions and great atmosphere. The menu is interesting and eclectic. It’s a good spot! Granted I always get pasta and wine, but still!

First time. Came here for breakfast/brunch. Parking is an open lot. I can see how it can get packed but i dont think parking will be a big issue. The setting is kinda cool. They have a diner style kitchen where you can kinda see what theyre making. Service was decent, nothing special. Couldve been that the waitress was tired from the night before. They also have outside seating which is nice. Ordered french toast and yam biscuit with mole. I dont know what people are tripping out about the yam toast. It was the business! Savory, hearty, yet not too heavy. It did get a bit salty at the end but i dont like salty stuff so thats just me. Avocado made the dish extra tasty and the chili and picked cabage tasted awesome as a whole. French toast. Oh the french toast. It was fluffy and had the perfect texture. Not soggy or dry. Tasted so good, i scarfed it down real quick. They also serve those gourmet coffee and etc. Solid but nothing special. Will definitely come back to try more stuff. They also serve wine and beer, i believe.

Why oh why have I slept on this place for so long? After living in the area for 3 years, I’ve only been here once for wine. I finally went for dinner the other night and it was a great experience! I love their outdoor seating area, dog friendly and pretty quiet(although you do overlook the ghetto Little Caesar’s parking lot). The waitstaff knows the menu, and food runners are friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy — I mentioned something in passing, barely audible, and the next thing I know the food runner is bringing us what I mentioned! Very well done food — get a lot of small plates to sample especially the burrata and the arancini. Good job Red Hill.

I have been to Red Hill several times. All of my experiences have been very satisfying. The food is fresh, well orchestrated, and delicious. Service is friendly and efficient, and the physical room and patio are gracefully designed. IMHO, the chef is the undisputed king of roast chicken in the greater Los Angeles area. I am happy to have such a nice, well done restaurant to go to in Echo Park. I keep going back again and again!

I tried the grilled pork loin, which is served with roasted peaches, cippolini onion, and vincotto. Despite the relative lack of sauce in the dish, it was surprisingly flavorful and pleasing to the palate(one of the servers advised me that Red Hill’s meat is brined prior to serving). I must say, the onions and peaches complimented the pork quite well. As I luckily had room left for dessert, I ordered a plate of beignets. These fried treats were sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, and served with a generously sized cup of hot chocolate sauce for dipping. The beignets were fluffy soft on the inside, yet still delightfully crunchy on the outside — and they tasted wonderful. As a bonus, the beignets seemed to be mostly air inside, so I didn’t feel guilty about eating them. After the beignets had all fallen victim to my piehole, I noticed that there was still plenty of chocolate left. As I am never one to waste chocolate, I asked my server if drinking the remainder would make me a barbarian. He convincingly assured me «no», at which point I proceeded to quickly(and gratifyingly) send the rest down my gullet. No regrets … I had several different staff members service my table, and I found all three of the gentlemen to be helpful, friendly, and attentive. The total bill before tax and tip came out to $ 29, which I thought was pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food I received. I would be tempted to give Red Hill 5⁄5 stars, if it wasn’t for the *insanely* rigid and uncomfortable seats … my derrière hasn’t suffered this egregiously since I made the mistake of stopping into Ramen Yukinoya. (Note to Red Hill Management: Seriously gents/ladies, if you want your customers to hurry up and GTFO after they’re done eating, all you need to do is ask them politely …) The restroom is adequately clean, and is decorated with nightmarish-yet-enchanting art(see attached photos). The parking lot is a bit small, but since I stopped in at a slow time/day, I was lucky enough to get the last available spot. Even given the implements of torture that Red Hill jokingly refers to as «seats», I still plan to return here and sample other items on the menu — starting with the spit-roasted ½ chicken and fazzoletti. I have a feeling that their tiramisu also will not disappoint … mmmmmm …

Easily one of the top restaurants in Echo Park, possibly the surrounding area. Of the half dozen times I’ve dined here, I’ve never had anything less than a stellar meal — and I don’t use that word often. There is always someone there to great you walking in, and though the dining area may be small,“intimate” as they would call it, they’ve made great use of the space. Like the menu, the wine and beer lists rotates, but a friendly and knowledgable staff will happily help guide you. The Spit Roasted Half Chicken, Idaho Trout, Fazzoletti, and Cauliflower are musts for any first time visitor(and I don’t even like Cauliflower). If I have any concern, it’s that the location is not visible from Sunset, which decreases random foot traffic. With Allumette having just shut its doors, here is hoping that doesn’t happen here. Support Red Hill. You’ll be glad you did.

The food is fantastic!!! I got the risotto. It was made with goat cheese and it was deliciously decadent. I don’t think there are any bad choices with this menu!

This is the perfect date place! It’s in an odd location behind a Walgreen’s and a little caesar’s, but once you get inside its cozy and romantic. Between 6 of us, we were able to try a third of the menu and everything was great. Our favorite(vegetarian) items were the Agnolotti and the Risotto. We also had the cauliflower appetizer which is in a delicious spicy sauce. Our waitress was just the best person ever, so patient with our slightly obnoxious table, and super helpful! For dessert we had the beignets and they are just like no other beignets you have ever tasted! The dipping chocolate sauce was just whatever. Still, I’m in love. This place is definitely going to be on my list of recommendations.

Though my Pete has taken me to this charming local spot many times for long leisurely dinners(mmm, pork ragu pappardelle) and perfect Sunday brunches on the wee patio, it was only this past Valentine’s Day that we decided to make it official: We love this place! Prix fixe menu featured delectable quinoa croquettes that melted in our mouths and an insanely savory potato-leek soup that we couldn’t get enough of. By the time dessert was ready, we were ready to get home, so the lovely waitress put the crème-fraiche-dressed pastries in pretty boxes and bid us farewell. The desserts turned out to be most delicious, devoured at home, in bed, ’round midnight.

Got some really good rissoto and flat bread pizza here. This is the second time I have been here and the menu always chages which is a plus. I did get the flatbread pizza twice now and its always spot on.

I debated on a four or five star and I decided to push it up because I find their food quite undeniable. I’ve been here a few times and have had the risotto, chicken, clams & fries, etc. I can honestly say that these are some of the best dishes that I’ve ever had in my ENTIRE life. That said, I’ve been here for lunch quite a few times, some of the things that I’ve had aren’t as good, but they’re still better than most things you’d get anywhere else. This is a place that’s causal and fun, their food is as good as most places in LA. A true hidden gem on the eastside.

The food wasn’t terrible. I think it might have just been an off day. After a long hike around Elysian Park with my friends and our pets, we decided to stop by here since 1. we’re on a «diet» and 2. pet-friendly. We get seated outside and its great cuz there are others with dogs seated around as well but bad since the shade was no help in keeping us protected from the sun.(80 in the middle of January. sheesh). I ordered the turkey burger(highly recommended by our server) and holy smelly fish! Possibly. the turkey patty was cooked in the same pan used to cook their salmon cause each bite carried the stench. No Bueno. My bf got the omelet while my friend got the roasted chicken. Both decent but nothing mind blowing.

BATHROOMMONSTER More on that later. I strolled into Red Hill on a random Wednesday for some lunch in Echo parque, holmes. YAMBISCUIT, EGG, BACON, MOLE, HOMEFRIES Quite an impressive mixture of contrasting flavors. Yam biscuit was hot and relatively fluffy even though it was covered in the rich, subtly sweet mole and the perfectly cooked egg and thick strips of salty BACON. All this richness was offset nicely by the fresh avocado and tomato along with the tang of the pickled cabbage. Did I mention a sprinkle of shredded jack/cheddar and also some well seasoned crispy home fries? Yeah, you get that too. I was pretty damn full and pretty damn impressed. Here’s a closer down and dirty look NEATURINAL Then I look up and see this thing… staring all up at my business… I had to stop midstream and get the hell outta there.

My friend and I decided to check this place out for brunch since my friend literally lives like 5 min away walking… It’s actually a really nice little place situated in Echo Park. The food however was just ok. I was not impressed. Everything just tasted way too healthy without much flavor. We were kind of disappointed. :( But I would probably check the place out again since it’s really close to my friend’s place… let’s hope the next time I visit the food is better?
