The staff was friendly and responsive. The free miso soup was delicious and hot. We were able to get close street parking and Man! Those Rolls! So good! Came here because of the Unilocal rating and was very pleased that we did. We had the Oh Baby! The Tiger Roll, Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and the Asher and they were all superb! My daughter loved the miso and my husband said that this was his favorite sushi we’ve had in years. A great surprise for a delicious, light lunch that was a great value, fresh and friendly! Thank you!

Just moved to Woodland hills. Was looking for a good sushi place to go to. Found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it out, I was greeted, seated and then surprised by FREEMISOSOUPS. This place was surprisingly amazing. I can’t wait to come back!

Roll roll is so legit. I eat here at least once a week(if not more). Free miso, no tax, cheap prices, awesome sushi. The owner/main sushi chef is the best. I used to request him at another sushi spot he worked at years ago. Low and behold, he opened his own place! Most of the girls who work here are pretty cool and know what the regulars order. I love their spicy tuna with soy paper, lobster hand rolls, crispy rice with spicy tuna, salmon nigiri, etc. Their cucumber salad is really good as well. Don’t get it twisted though. This is not a bougie sushi joint. It’s a low key, kick back place to get some good sushi for reasonable prices. If you’re looking for ambience and not just good sushi– you should head somewhere else.

I wish we have discovered this place sooner. $ 3 $ 6 $ 9 dollar rolls, that’s unbelievable. What’s even more amazing is that it actually taste really great. Yes, even the $ 3 rolls. We ordered 4 rolls as to go, we got our order within 5 minutes. Cheap sushi, great tasting, and fast? Now that’s a 5 star. But wait, there is more. I am not sure what deal they have made with the Tax God. But they do not Charge Tax. Yea, not sure if IRS is fully on board with this one. Oh wellz, better take advantage of it while it last.

Just down the street from me, I stop by at least once a week for a quick roll and soup. I’m in and out in minutes, just a few dollars later. Food is good and the service is always amazing. Great place to meet friends for great food quickie meal. A++

The place is located in a small plaza, so parking can be tricky. I went on New Year’s Eve for lunch and the place was pretty empty. The waitress was so nice and so upbeat! It seems like she enjoys working there. The roll size might be smaller than other places but it will stuff you. I ordered 911 and Oh Baby, and believe me I usually can eat! I was so stuff that I took 4 pieces of my roll to go. They have pretty wide menu selections. All are $ 3, $ 6 or $ 10! The waitress brought miso soups as soon as we sat. I ordered 911 and Oh Baby. My boyfriend ordered salmon sashimi, salmon lover roll, salmon roll, edamame and white rice. We all spent less than $ 40! It was a steal and I really enjoyed my food. I will definitely come back more often and try their other selection! They also cater!

I don’t usually give 5 stars nor do I ever take my time to write reviews, but this place totally deserves it. Not only is it super affordable but it’s delicious and you can taste the quality. I love that you get free delicious miso soup and seconds haha This place already has tax included and you don’t have to tip. Super rare but nice! They also have free wifi, super convenient. Aside from amazing food and cool perks, I have never met such a nice and passionate sushi chef/owner such as Sang! He is super cool and so happy to be around his customers, he makes you feel super special and welcomed. We ended up staying there past closing time(unintentionally) and he never rushed us, he even made us a personalized dessert on the house! Their server was also super helpful and sweet. :) I just have never met someone who is so passionate in what they do and someone who truly cares so much about their customers. I am definitely coming back and telling all of my friends and family!!! :))))) Thank you Sang!!!

This is the perfect place for a post gym/workout meal and it’s totally on the casual side so you can actually come in your gym clothes. They have a takeout counter as well as a small seating area. My #1 recommendation is the 911 if you like spicy. I also really like the salmon lover. Overall, both sushi and service is great! This isn’t a fancy spot. It’s very much a hole in the wall, mom and pop shop. Like they literally have Sesame Street themed soap in the restroom so unless you’re into that don’t come for the ambience.

Its a cheap sushi place and thats pretty much what you should expect from it. Lots of rolls. Anywhere they say its a «lobster» roll they actually mean crawfish which I think is a bit on the false advertising side of things. The cuts of the fish aren’t as clean as they should be. There are are parts of the fish(veins etc.) that should be cut out, which they don’t. The rolls are also sloppy and falling apart when given to you. Not rolled as tightly as would be expected. Wait staff(aka the only waitress that worked there) never offered us any refills. This is definitely one of those you get what you pay for joints.

Service — Solid 5 stars out of 5. Very nice and attentive staff. Food — a solid 5⁄5 for the price. Not considering the price I would say 4⁄5 as fish portions can be small. But It’s definitely better than a handful of sushi places I have been to that charge twice as much for a roll. Taste and quality is definitely good. I just knocked off a star as a couple of sushi pieces didn’t have a decent portion of fish but not a biggy. Give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

I am a sushi regular and It’s a spot that I always suggest to my friends. Why? Because 1. Free wifi 2. Everything on the menu is either $ 3, $ 6 or $ 10 The food is fresh and cooked well everytime I order from there. I’ve had the tiger roll, California roll, shrimp roll, Crab roll, Baked Salmon roll, Philadelphia Hand roll, crunchy tempura roll, salmon rice plate and their salad. 3. The staff is so friendly right when you come in and are very attentive to what you want. On busy nights it might take a minute but they don’t leave you hanging. 4. They don’t tax you The only thing I don’t like is the parking

I really liked the rolls, the miso and Udon Noodle Soup is really good too– I ordered this for my daughter and she enjoyed it. We got chicken added to it for a couple bucks more. If you love rolls you will love this place for their prices of $ 3.00 for regular rolls or 6 – 10 bucks for specialty rolls– the Udon Noodle soup without the chicken was 5. The Sashimi was okay– the salmon and albacore was good but the tuna and yellowtail was firm, I like my sashimi to melt in my mouth and it was about 15 bucks for the sashimi like at most places it just wasn’t amazing for the price. Also their popular roll everyone raved about in the reviews was my least favorite– It had crab meat and tuna in the middle with salmon on top and avocado. I did enjoy their spicy crunchy tuna roll with shrimp tempura inside and sauce on top– that was really good. Service is really quick and friendly, we got our food within 10 mins from being seated with this small place being full inside.

Basic roll $ 3 Premium $ 6 Special roll $ 10 They also serve noodles and sashimi. Not too bad of a cheap sushi place. You seat yourself and once your receive your plate of goodness. The sushi is decent for the price you pay. The rolls are really small and loosely rolled. The service is okay. Parking can suck.

I’d pretty much given up on sushi in the valley because it’s pretty bad out here. I heard about this place from a few coworkers and I immediately looked it up on Unilocal.Roll roll is your typical Korean owned sushi restaurant but what stands out the most is definitely the pricing. Rolls are either $ 3, $ 6, or $ 10 with no tax and free soup. Stopped by to grab a late lunch to-go and there were only a few tables occupied. Workers were friendly and I was in and out within 10 minutes. Probably the best sushi in the valley. Salmon is sliced pretty thinly but for $ 6 I can’t complain. I’d say it’s better to stick with the $ 3 or $ 6 roll options and $ 15 will get you good and satisfied.

My boyfriend ms I come here at least twice a week. We love the sushi here and it’s very affordable. The waitress is such a sweet heart! She has our regular order memorized. She greets us in Japanese and is very attentive. We always feel welcome here. They give free bowls of miso s soon as you sit down. The fish is very fresh and they don’t load it up with a ton of rice(pet peeve). Love this place! Roll roll forever!!!

This is my favorite little affordable sushi place in the Valley. Yes. I did not say West Valley… the WHOLE Valley. It’s not Studio City sushi row, this is like the perfect place to go when you’re not in the mood to spend Katsuya money, but definitely not into rotating sushi bad quality… this is somewhere in between with a notch of customer service and super friendly staff that would put it way above a chain like Kabuki. There’s just something about the warm friendliness that got me, and when I started eating $ 15 four kinds of sashimi plates of fresh goodness, and quite possibly the best tasting yellowtail collar I ever had. I’m telling you. I love this place. I’m so glad I found this Roll Roll through Unilocal. As much as the Ventura Blvd stretch of affordable sushi places in Woodland Hills have been a family staple. A quick five minute drive to Tarzana is totally fine for me.

Went back with a friend again on a friday night. Place was packed but we were lucky to be able to sit outside. Server as lovely as usual with chef/owner working inside with a couple other chefs. I WANTTOPOINTOUT, that«roll roll«is a name that may make you think its good for rolls ONLY. Well its not. i don’t really eat rolls, hardly ever, we ordered the following : Oysters(AMAZING) Lobster on top of some roll(Only roll we ordered)(DELISH) SOFTSHELLCRAB salad(AMAZING) Tuna, salmon, shrimp, scallop and yellowtail sushi(All delish) Fried banana green tea ice cream desert. We were really please with everything. Prices are great, you get 3 pieces of sushi for $ 5. The portion of the fish is not huge, but somewhere there is a give and take. It is a business after all. Check out the pics.
