Would give this place a negative rating if possible. I agree with what someone else said — this place would have potential if it wasn’t run by some idiot who thinks he knows what he’s doing. The guy Danny who books the shows is such a bafoon. I’ve heard him sit there and tell bands and promotors that«it’s not professional to do… XY and Z…» When in fact he is a huge hypocrite who runs late to shows and has bands and ppl waiting. I have also seen this guy doing drugs at the venue — talk about unprofessional… This idiot swears he knows what hes doing or what hes talking about. He is not running a legitimate business or venue. Do not trust this place or book here unless you want to deal with the most paranoid and hypocritical person you’ll ever come across — you will think he’s on drugs or off his medication, cant tell with this guy.

This review is for the Jefferson st location… This place is a nice spot in the right promoters hands Ive thrown numerous shows here and yes the guy that runs it is a bit of a nut but hes pretty cool once he gets to know you, we have never given him any issues so hes never given us any the drinks are a bit pricey but the door price is usually pretty low the space is very intimate and the sound is awesome never had a single band complain about the sound it sucks thats theres only one restroom but we seem to make due this location has a very underground DIY feel to it with a nice stage if your planning a small event use this location if you planning a big party with hundreds of people plan elsewhere only got 3 stars cause i cant give 3.5 UPDATE: So we had a bigger event here(apparently there’s a second room) The owner was mooching weed off people using the fact that he was the owner to kind of strong arm them into letting him smoke their weed. There was a bucket of paint that was spilled by his clean up crew and he tried pinning it on me and my guest. On another event we had to change days from a Friday to a Saturday he said I had to pay a cancellation fee which was half the cost of the rental. Im sorry but that just wasnt going to happen. He locks the doors during shows which is a safety hazard. He is very sketchy and I finally saw the crazy paranoid person that everyone seems to talk about. If you need a low budget place and have a HIGH tolerance to stupidity then by all means book your event here other wise go elsewhere.

This venue attempted to take all of the door money from a show I played there with two touring bands on the bill. Once that was all said and done, they then tried to steal one of the touring band’s personal bags, including their passport. The person running everything was incredibly controlling and off his rocker. Bands trying to load out were told that they couldn’t leave. The guy running the door kept forcefully mooching weed off of everyone he could. I would not recommend that anyone ever play here ever. This is also the short version of the story. I’ll edit this later with some more details or you can look in the filtered reviews at Lee’s review. He’s got it pretty spot on.

Don’t go to this place. Don’t book shows and warn any bands who are going to. The actual building would be okay if it wasn’t owned by some delusional maniacal control freak who looks like a hipster Edward James Olmos. This fucking idiot made everyone feel uncomfortable at the show by following people around and waiting outside the bathroom door. He locked everyone in the venue, which made it impossible to leave without his permission. The whole night consisted of his mentally-absent body lingering everywhere. The owner is also an entitled prick that attempted to rip off touring bands(who came as far as Australia to play). His controlling personality is probably the result of being a dumpster baby parasite who no one will ever take seriously or care about. He will die alone and even stupider than he already is. Don’t support this asshole who probably spends all his money on cocaine and underage girls.

This place is decent, my bans has played here before and its ok, the staff has been good to us. the only thing that i dont like is the fact that their is no food hot-spot and its an a warehouse which is cool, but its in the middle of nowhere. Also, if you come here bring cash to aviod the $ 20 min for their Bar.

new jefferson st. location. the people who run this place are dickheads. they came an hour late to open the door while everyone who was ONTIME had to wait in the cold. the girl who was charging was a HUGE bitch to all my guests and the davey havok hair guy could have been cooler, but he was pretty rude to guests too. they say they try to keep the ins and outs to a minimum, and you cant bring your own drinks and blah blah blah, but i really didnt see a threat of cops or a shut down. this place had potential with the room in the back where the bands play but wouldnt return here for a show or to set one up. FAIL.

I was kind of afraid to go to this place after reading some of the reviews… but it’s not bad, for what it is. Silver Factory Studios is not a «real place»…it’s a warehouse space that appears to be, well, a studio. Clearly marked? Nope… the address is on the building, and you have to ring a bell to get in… and tell them who you’re coming to see. Reminds you a bit of going to a show when you were 15… The information that states«full bar» is pretty clearly false; there are beers and boozes available(cash only), and I doubt there’s enough alcohol in that place to get any serious drinker seriously plastered. Come for the music, not for booze. Why the good review? The music was LOUD, the sound guys were pretty good, the venue is intimate(good, in my opinion), there’s tons of parking, the crowd was respectful(though most of them seemed to know each other), and — at least when I was there — the smoking situation had been«resolved.» Good show, good times. Just make sure you go to the Jefferson Street location, not the one that’s advertised.

Honestly, after reading the other reviews, i didn’t believe this place could be that bad. However, it is! unless the greatest band that broke up and then reunited to play one more time was playing there, i wouldn’t go. Place just has too many rules, and rules that shouldn’t apply to 21+ crowd. only 2 people can smoke outside at a time. no ins and outs. oh and no one shows up, dead empty space. Lastly, the chick running the door is rude.

This is for the new Jefferson Street location. They have moved here. This review is for bands trying to evaluate whether or not to book at this venue. It’s located in a rather dead part of town. Not any foot traffic. It’s got no built in crowd because it’s sort of an invite-only location. The sound system is good. The room and stage are good. But unless you can bring your own audience it’s not a good gig to take. Especially if you are not local. One restroom which would have been a big problem if there were actually any sort of crowd. The staff were friendly. Plenty of street parking. But… Not the happening party one would hope it to be.

Wow, you think more Unilocalers would mark this place. I got my ears blown out practically but there were some really good unknown, young bands. Saw 4 bands for free, it was $ 8 but it is still a pretty sweet deal. There were a lot of feedback problems but perhaps that is not a constant.
