I paid $ 40 for that January promotion where you get 1 tumbler and 1 cup of hot coffee or tea a day for the whole month of Jan. I ordered tea. The barista working there didn’t know this and was going to charge me. She had thought it was only for coffee. So I proceeded to let her know it does cover tea. She insisted in asking her manager. I saw that the terms were written on the cup itself so I told her after her manager had confirmed this. She didn’t want to listen to me and said she just wanted to confirm with her manager. At this point I just want my honey and go. She gave it to me and again said she just wanted to double check her manager and told me I didnt have to rude about it. Starbucks, I will never buy your promotional cups again. I felt like I had to fight for what I had already paid for. Please train your employees better and also to read what is literally written on your promotional cups. This Starbucks is the slowest one I’ve ever been to. And it’s not because they are short-handed. They definitely have enough people. I’ve seen employees standing around like there’s not a long line. With only one register open. I usually drive out of campus to another Starbucks. But today being a Saturday afternoon, not a lot of students on campus, I thought I’d give it another try. Never again.

The long wait time should not come as a surprise to anyone. Keep in mind this Starbucks is on a college campus. Most of the 1 or 2-star reviews on this location are people complaining they didn’t get their drink in 5 seconds despite that fact. Seating is always available outside if it’s full inside. The only real issue with this Starbucks is how poorly staffed it is.

Just got a cup of Joe. I’m here on Grad day. Hectic moment. Need my caffeine fix. Barista was quick but the cashiers need to be a little quicker.

Because I am a student and live on campus, I go here a lot. If it weren’t for those things, I would not go here. On campus there are only two places to go for coffee now, and one of them closes at 7 and has weird hours, making Starbucks the prime place to go on campus because you know, other than Sundays, it will be open. The biggest downside is that because there aren’t many places to get a hot cup of coffee on campus, this place gets PACKED and stays packed all day. The service is also relatively slow, making it quite an ordeal just to get a cup of coffee. I will say, the service and employees are always friendly and are happy to remake your drinks if there was a mistake. I repeat, friendliness is NOT the issue. I also am not a fan of the fact that, because it is associated with Barnes and Noble(our bookstore), that rewards cannot be redeemed here. I have wasted so many rewards due to them expiring because I just don’t have the time to go off campus and redeem them. I wish this Starbucks would change that. Other than that, it does its job– it gets me caffeinated.

Didn’t accept my exclusive reward for a free breakfast sandwich. I was robbed pretty much cause they are not licensed or whatever.

Worst place ever! This place is ran by students who have no sense of urgency. No matter what time of the day you go, the line is long and I end up wasting my whole 30 min break in line. Why are there 5 – 6 people working and only 1 register open? Workers chat and laugh while working which results in constant long lines. Again, why does it have to take me 20+ min just to order!!! I wish there was another place on campus that serves coffee, I would not recommend this place. I can drive to the branch in Alhambra and return in the same time. Just ridiculous!!!

As I’m writing this review, I’ve been waiting for my Passion Tea Lemonade and chocolate croissant for about 20 minutes now. There was no line, the workers were just not doing their job. I will begin by writing the pros and cons. In this case just the cons because the only pro is that there is a Starbucks at this school. Cons: –The wait time is ridiculous –They forgot my chocolate croissant and did not warm it. –a costumer told the barista she had asked for no whipped cream, and he rolled his eyes and said«are you kidding me?» –the workers are very unprofessional(they all had attitudes)

Even when the line is long, they hustle! But do not expect to go to class on time because it’s always packed here. They messed up on my order, but with a smile I showed them my receipt and they fixed it without a problem! Definitely recommend going here.

The live feed of the line on the csula app is a life saver since it’s in the corner of the campus

Someone else had it right: Wait in line 20 min just to have them mess up your order and give you attitude when you ask them to remake the drink how you originally wanted it. I’ll be going to the bookstore to purchase my tea from now on.

OK I found it. Right now its hidden behind some construction zones, so just follow the path past the Sbarro and its on the corner. Love Starbucks but have to say: Employees here are a little unprofessional. I know, its a college campus and the workers are vibrant, fun-loving, young people, I get that. But. I entered and was not greeted. 3 – 5 giggling/gossiping young female employees were yukking it up very loudly. Look, I am glad you all are enjoying yourselves at work, but when a customer comes in, I think you have to tone it down a bit. Plus, its just not a Starbucky experience. When I’m paying close to 5.00 for a drink, I really don’t want it served with a side of girl gossip. When it looked like the cashier had calmed down sufficiently from her hysteria, and this took a few MINUTES of me standing at the register waiting to be acknowledged, I placed my order for a Grande Mocha Frappaccino. Seemed like she heard me, she was looking directly at me, apparently I was mistaken. I placed my order, she turned away and looked over her shoulder at her co-horts, giggled some more, turned back to me and quite rudely said: «WHAT??» Not«Excuse me, I’m sorry what was that?» Just«WHAT?!?» Wow. I repeated my order. Calmly. Counted to ten. Breathe… I have been in here before, and the employee got the order wrong 2x. These guys really need to dial it down on the personal gab while at work and prioritize the customers.

I used to come here every day before lecture starts. If I am lazy to drive off campus then I would come here. It is convenient for students to get their coffee. It is a great place and the employees are super friendly and very nice.

Go here when I am on campus. Likes: –Typical Starbucks that served everything from drinks to food. –Located near the Student Union. Great place to hang out inbetween, before or after classes. Dislikes: –Crowded and thus, slow service. Recommend: If you are on campus, then yes out of convenience. But be prepared to wait.

Wait 20 minutes in line only to get bad service & half assed drinks. The iced coffees are filled with only 1⁄3 the cup with actual coffee and they fill up the rest with milk of some sort. Not cool! If I crave coffee during school I’d wait til after I got off to go to a different Starbucks.

Always always always soooo incredibly busy. I don’t mind the wait so much– it’s a Starbucks ONCAMPUS afterall. What I do mind is only one register being utilized when there’s a never ending and ever growing line out the door. I don’t know if it’s that they’re always just understaffed or that they refuse to add much needed staff, but with only 5 employees on the floor and the consistent long line they really need more help. Pros: the customer service has always been pleasant and I can see that the people preparing drinks are really trying to be quick. And it’s a Starbucks on campus which is convenient. Cons: always extremely busy, understaffed, smaller variety than other Starbucks, and small inside, in general. Note that you should allow yourself at least 30 mins before the start of a class. Otherwise you’ll be super late. As I write this review, I’ve already been waiting for about 20 minutes and still have not gotten my drink. This isn’t anything new.

Hey! It’s a Starbucks. We all know what the drinks taste like. We all know what the interiors look like. We all know that the pumpkin scones are delicious and a little part of us dies when they go out of season. This Starbucks is perfectly fine — although I don’t get to visit it much because it’s a long walk from the HDFC. You main campus people take what you have for granted. Look at you with your pollo loco, and big store, and comfy plush chairs. Ooooh! Anyways, sometimes the wait here can be hit or miss. It gets crazy right before classes(duh!), and it’s kind of in a random corner. I won’t really come here unless I’m on my way to King Hall, or the random weird Theatre(music?) building. Usually within 20 feet you can tell if the line is crazy and out the door and if you want to continue with your mission or abort.
