We come every«Taco Tuesday» because it’s near my kids dance studio. Tacos are delish! Better than any taco truck, but it’s taco truck prices. They grill cebollinas($.75) Serrano peppers for you if requested. You can choose two sides with combo plates so it doesn’t have to be rice and beans. My kids opt for corn. Entire combo plate with sides and drink $ 7.95 ish. Good salsa bar, but they also have bottles of Tapatio for sell outs like me that like the bottled salsa. Warning: parking stinks so I usually buy my lottery tickets or soda at 7-eleven next door just so I can park to get my favorite tacos.

I’m a picky eater. The one thing that they NEVEREVER screw up is the Gringo Tacos. Big fan of these. They offset the once in a while that I get marginal service. In fact I’d probably keep going to get them even if the service were horrible.

I have happily been coming here for many years but they seem to have a new policy of putting less chicken/pork/steak in their burritos and dishes to save money. I even had to ask the cook to put extra chicken in the $ 9 burrito i was buying and he said — only for a $ 1 extra! Sadly the last time I will visit. Tacos Por Favor or Poquito Mas from now on.

I’ve been stopping in here for burritos, tacos and nachos for over a decade… literally. It’s good, authentic, street food. I love carnitas and theirs doesn’t disappoint. A little fatty sometimes, but that’s the nature of pork. The burritos are huge. The tacos are as expected and the chicken quesadilla is so indulgent that I don’t often order it. It’s a convenient location on a busy corner. Parking isn’t bad and if you’re just getting take out, you can parking in the«7 – 11 only» for a few minutes. They take orders over the phone and its always ready quickly. I’ve ordered on my drive over and it’s ready in 5 minutes. Recently, I got delivery. They have a high delivery fee, but on a rainy night, my food arrived in 30minutes, a record for any delivery ever! Their salsa bar is really good and they give you lots of chips on the side too. I’ve been here dozens of times and never been disappointed.

Mehhhh. It’s quick, they’re pretty nice, but it’s that standard watered down Mexican food that tastes like it came from cafeteria. Parking was easy in there. If I lived within walking distance and I needed drunk food, this would probably be amazing for me. I wouldn’t travel here for food though!

We love it, especially the quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, and pozole soup. Large portions, good prices, fresh, good tasting Mexican food.

One of my faves. The parking situation is a nightmare but if you can get a spot, you’ve hit gold. Tons of options(vegetarian friendly), large portions, cheap prices, good food, fast service. Yum.

One of my favorite taco joints in West LA. Nachos, Burrito Gigante, Breakfast Burritos are all fantastic, cheap, and tasty. Staff is extremely nice. Definite bang for your buck.

The first time I went to Taco Plus, I got an assortment of tacos and was unimpressed. They were average, dry, and uninspiring. For some reason — maybe it was the siren’s lure of a breakfast burrito — I went back. I got said breakfast burrito with chorizo and was blown away. It was rich, massive, cheap, and delicious. Genuinely great. I’ve since gone back many times for their burritos. They’re affordable, could feed a small family, and are jam-packed. They will fulfill your burrito craving, which is all that really matters, in the end.

Called to make an order over the phone, was on hold for 10 minutes. Then i was hung up on. I decided to walk there since i work by there. When i got there the place was empty. I went to give my order and said«i called to make an order and was told to please hold, then was hung up on»(the lady who picked up the phone was the same person on register who i was speaking to) Then she says«what did you order?» Really? You never took my order! The worst thing is she didnt apologize or anything. I told her i was on hold then hung up on and she was nonchalant(didnt care) I come here twice a week. Very disappointed. Not coming here again!

This place was pretty good. Nothing out of the ordinary. I don’t think I’ll be craving the food enough to drive all the way back out to Santa Monica again. But if I’m in the area I wouldn’t mind stoping by and grabbing another bite to eat at this spot. Portions are big and filling. I got to save the other half for the next day which was nice.(I got the pastor burrito combo) You definitely get your moneys worth! The only downside is the place is a bit small but thats nothing huge to be complaining about. If you want a nice view the beach isn’t to far of a drive.

Friendly fresh and consistent Mexican food. Can’t go wrong with one their chicken burritos. Usually get a California burrito and a nice side of homemade salsa. Place doesn’t look like much from the street but it is always busy and I see a lot of familiar faces which tells me it has to be pretty good.

Vegetarian Friendly — love that! Was out driving around and got super hungry, so we Unilocal’d what was near by and found Taco Plus. This is a small place, totally casual with super friendly people and great food. What more do you need? i had the veggie tacos and chips. Delicious. 04132014

We came we saw we pass. The place is small so it can be cramped while waiting for food. Customer service was good and we finished our food so they get two stars. We had the chicken burrito and it was very mediocre. The chicken was charbroiled which is usually great, but it lacked flavor. As did the other ingredients, I don’t know seem like everything was cooked fresh but no added seasoning. And when the tortillas are not good it’s really over for the burrito. So definitely will not return, as there are 1001 spots for Mexican food.

BLAND is the word to describe the food here. I ordered 4 al pastor tacos and the meat doesn’t taste like anything! I mean they charge $ 2.79 for each tacos and it’s bland?! I’ve had so much better and cheaper tacos in the LA/Santa Monica area. This place needs to take their game to another level. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

After a long day of moving into the new place my friends and I worked up quite an appetite and we needed something to satisfy our hunger, and fast! Luckily, located conveniently around the corner from my place is Taco Plus and a 7-Eleven. It was like a godsend, a desert oasis after trekking for days in the blistering hot sun. Ok, so I’m exaggerating. The place is small and clean with a few tables for dining in, it seems more like a take-out place more than anything. Anyways, we all ordered tacos, I had the carnitas while my friends had the carne. We loaded up the little plastic containers with salsa, peppers, cilantro and lemons. We also ordered some sides and the portion size is pretty generous with the combination plates. We wanted to eat everything back at my place so we hopped over to 7-Eleven grabbed some Modelo tall boys and kicked back as we stuffed ourselves silly. It was a meal well deserved after a long day of work. This place is just right and so close that I’ll be back again and again!

Unbelievably delicious breakfast chorizo burritos and the blandest, sorriest menudo you can find. Everything else falls somewhere between those two data points and I’m kinda torn now as to whether there being a dearth of Mexican joints on the Westside deserves an extra star. Begrudgingly, yes it does. If you got the time in the morning, PLEASE try that chorizo burrito. I got no idea who their supplier is but theirs is not the runny, overseasoned cheap ass«chorizo”-flavored stuff. What Taco Plus is carefully wrapping into tortillas come early morning are these delicious porky chunks seasoned with cumin and coriander and chile mix. It is utterly divine. Some of the best Mexican chorizo I’ve ever had in my life. But the goodness ends like a daytime Cinderella story and when noon comes a-knocking, chorizo disappears into the ether. Sure, you can drown your tears into a carnitas plate, but that’s a consolation prize for sure. And whatever you do, stay away from the menudo. It’s just hot seasoned water. You’ve been warned. Chorizo’s where it’s at, people.

Guess what, kids, raw white onions? Never a good look. Ghetto, trashy, smelly. Seriously nasty. French shallots: rich yet smooth. In a word, fabulous. Spring onions: Very Martha Stewarty but still light and delish and go with anything. Red onions: bumpin’ up the flava’ while still rockin’ style. Service here was not so much rude but just depressed. I guess in a pinch, if you’re super desperate for Mexican, stop by. But if you can, hold out for the Oaxacan taco truck up the street, which opens at 6:30pm.

I’ve tried so many things here, I can’t even list them all. Everything on the menu looks so good, so I always want to try something new! The carne asada is really good, but the one thing I didn’t like too much was the burrito gigante. I love tex mex, but this was a little too extreme for me. I’ve tried other burritos here, and found the shrimp one to be pretty memorable. It was too big for me, but probably the right size for an average male. It’s fairly saucy, so make sure you eat it over a plate(not while driving). The carnitas quesadilla is also a safe go-to when I’m in an extra saturated fat kind of mood. The staff here is always nice and never rush me when I’m being indecisive. The salsa bar is pretty good here and they do give free chips with the meals. The advantage I see Taco Plus having over some other places(like Tacos Por Favor) are the hours. Taco Plus is open at least until 10pm.
