I really enjoy the food here. I would have given it more stars however, they need to learn to answer their phone. On the menu they have«we deliver» in giant writing, yet when people call to order you NEVER answer. This is the 3rd time we have tried to order food for delivery and what a surprise– you don’t answer the phone. We have to go in for take out and wait and waste our time doing so. Yes the food is great but the service is horrible. They are losing customers because they do not answer the phone.

Wasabi is not hot… Zero kick… Wasabi should provide a POW! Important. There is another sushi restaurant in town now, so they need to step it up. The menu is primarily Chinese food with some Japanese food and sushi options. The name Teriyaki House is somewhat misleading. Tempura is not very good. :(

Even though the food is decent and the people working there are honestly nice. This place just feels and looks very dirty.:(sad to say but, I probably won’t be going back. Try sugio sushi its new, very clean and the food was great!

First of all this is not teriyaki, I’m from the PNW where teriyaki is done right, portion of chicken was small with no char on it. My fried rice didn’t look fried at all. I don’t know what it is about California but they don’t know how to cook good teriyaki here. Don’t recommend this place.

Really good restaurant. Super kind server, good food, and good price. I ordered kung pao, teriyaki, california roll, spring roll and dragon roll. Everything is pretty good. If you rate to go to S.F. and hugry in the evening, turn to Los Banos and go to Teriyaki House. Highly recommended.

Beware if you call the line and it sounds like a fax machine it is because they are trying to run a credit card. It took me a while to figure this out and so I thought they were closed. I always like to call in my order and pick up. I think it’s odd/cheap that even if you eat in house you are seine times served styrofoam and plastic plates/silverware. The tempura is delicious along with the soups. When I was pregnant I always craved teriyaki house!

I have to say, this is the most solid Asian food in town. Quality is consistent and to me, it is the closest thing to Bay Area Chinese around here. The Japanese offerings are okay, and until very recently, they were the only restaurant with sushi(or any other attempt at Japanese) here. The service is okay, and the speed of preparation is usually quite fast. If you’re passing through and need chow mein, this is your best bet.

All I have to say is Singapore Fried rice and Singapore Chow mein ate worth 5 stars by itself… Great sushi too… Man glad I found this joint!!! The person who makes the sushi is Hella slow… but it’s worth the wait… very yummy and bombalicious!!! Not a lot of Asian restaurants here in Los Banos… But if they build one more taqueria I’m gonna get pissed!!!

Teriyaki house is my go-to place for sushi and Asian cuisine in Los Banos. The prices are great for the portion sizes and their sushi is fresh and yummy. Not comparable to restaurants that specialize in sushi, but for an Asian restaurant with sushi, it’s great. We also get great customer service each and every time we go, and the waitresses even memorized our order before we started trying new things. So good! ANDTHEYDELIVER! It’s hard to get them on the phone to do so but in Los Banos nothing is more than a few minutes away so not a huge problem in a small town.

For a small town you would think this place would prefer to have good consistent business. However, this place never answers the phone to place an order and if your desperate and go in order your waiting around for over a hour. I suggest they answer their phone for the convenience of their customers if they expect to continue to have business.

So, for Asian food in Los Banos, it’s one of the better places. The combos tend to be full of fried and heavily battered chicken, shrimp, etc. The Japanese combos are a bit better, but the teriyaki salmon my mom has tried twice or three times and each time the salmon hasn’t even been edible. They are very nice about replacing it though. The sushi is really the one thing that is quite good, and in Los Banos it’s pretty much the only choice. They deliver too. The staff is always nice and the food dependable, but it’s for locals. Skip it if you’re just passing through.

Came here for lunch today and ordered their lunch deal with Kung pao chicken! It came with chow mien, 1 eggrolls, some sweet sour chicken and fried shrimp. I paid $ 7.25 including tax. Everything tasted good, however the chow mien could have been a little better in my opinion. For $ 7.25 you can’t beat the quantity and it tasted good. Probably not the best place but it serves it’s purpose. Good food for cheap prices!

The Teriyaki House, has never been known for its great food. That is until they started featuring a young chefs sushi. The first time I tried the sushi, it was great. But that was almost a year ago and boy has it gone down. The sushi looks nothing like the pictures featured on this page, obviously from the chefs personal collection. We ordered three rolls, they did not taste fresh and each roll come after at least twenty minutes of waiting. One of us would be served and twenty minutes later the next roll came out, and again for the third. We also ordered a Bento Box and the fried food tasted stale and old.

Great food and the service was good! Food was ready in about 10 minutes or so. I was surprised to find a place that actually serves –sushi– in Los Banos! I ordered the spicy crab roll, as well as the chicken teriyaki bowl. You definitely get a very decent amount when you order, at least for the teriyaki bowls, as it’s filled to the very top. The reason I give this a 4 out fo 5 stars is because they didn’t have the salmon nigiri or inari like it was advertised on the menu. However, that was only a minor inconvenience and to be expected in a small town like Los Banos – not many people would order stuff like that, I’d assume. But I really hope that one day they’ll add that back onto the menu. Would definitely go back and recommend this place to other sushi lovers, or just anyone who wants to relax in a casual atmosphere. :3

Free refills on soda. Lots of teriyaki places don’t offer free refills, and those are establishments I do not return to. However, I probably won’t return to this one either. Service was AMAZING. Some of the food had lots of good flavor, but there was hair in our sushi. They didn’t charge us for it though. We decided it was over priced mediocre food. Fried rice was inedible. There was no cucumber in the CA roll,(always a let down.) I will be traveling out of town for my sushi in the future.
