Tasting room attendant Rosie really knows her wines. The wines themselves are amazing and the tasting room is decorated beautifully. I would highly recommend the Kempe Petite Sirah, and the Romanvs, they are now my new favorites.

Love Barbieri! The wines are AMAZING and the energy in the wine room is very upbeat and fun thanks to Paolo, Erin, Michele! This is a MUST visit when wine tasting in Los Olivos!

Paolo and Erin are the ultimate hosts here at Barbieri. Paolo is a top somm, and is making some very fine wine. I like to support small individual wineries, but so often disappointed in their wines. Not here though! They know what they’re doing here, and it’s such a great experience to taste and feel the passion that is going on here.

This place is nice. The dog is nice. The cheese is nice… but the«cheese & wine» tasting is a bit of an up sell, don’t you think? All and all it’s a good spot.

The owners here were really sweet and have the cutest dog! However, I wasn’t really a fan of their wines :-/. I give them props for pursuing their dreams though. Their tasting is $ 15 for 5 wines. The pours are really small, but most of these places pour a very small amount. It’s probably for the best ;)

It was a pleasure sharing a tasting with Palo, Erin and puppy. Outstanding wines. Truly outstanding knowledge and awesome hospitality. We highly recommend this favorite of our wine clubs.

A great little place run by nice folks with a strong knowledge of wine. The tasting room is a mix of quaint and comfortable – a far cry from luxurious corporate tasting rooms(but not too far that it doesn’t feel good). We were told the owner is a Master Sommelier, and I think it shows in the wines. They have a nice range of approachable bottles, and serve them with the nicest attitude possible.

Don’t miss this tasting room! We came here out of curiosity after reading the story(that it was relatively new and one of the partners is a Master Sommelier). The Kempe and Barbieri wines we had here were the obvious standouts in our day spent wine tasting in the region. Syrahs were featured prominently, but the rose and white were delicious as well.

Very professional and welcoming staff. Bought a bottle of the Syrah which was very Cote Rotie in style. Great experience.

The Service: Very friendly and attentive. The Tasting Room: There are a few seating area inside tasting room. Nice bar area. Behind the tasting room there is a farmhouse(retail). They sell all kind of stuffs, home decoration, kitchen stuffs, even cheese and jam. Fun to shop! The Parking: Street parking in front of the tasting room

Went there today for the first time and after a disappointing day of wine tasting I was surprised and excited to find I liked or loved everything they poured here. Out of 5 wines tasted, we bought 4 bottles and we’re making plans to come back. Bonus points for Penny, the sweetest wine dog ever. Highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a chance!

There are only 250 Master Sommeliers in the entire world, so it’s very cool to have one in Los Olivos actually making and selling wine. Their work is tasty and so is the cheese shop in the back, also selling cool gifts for your loved ones or yourself. Definitely a must stop and worth an excursion if in the region.

When you’re trying the established wineries in Los Olivos, don’t miss an opportunity to sample wines from the new kid on the block. Paulo is a master sommelier from Las Vegas and we are lucky that he brought his talents to Santa Barbara county. Seriously he’s probably tasted more wine in his life than I ever will. A tasting costs $ 12 and I would have paid much more than that for such quality wine. Erin and Paulo provide personalized service in a eclectic space with a friendly house dog named Penny. And there is a cute market in the back that sells cheeses and other wine products for your countryside picnic.

Fun stop in Los Olivos. The wine maker is a master sommelier with 30+ years in the restaurant business. He specializes in Syrah. Wines are very nice and at a good price point. The tasting room is nice and is connected to a cheese shop. Tastings are $ 12 for 6 wines.

Our first time since the tasting room has opened and we look forward to returning! As locals we hope to find these welcoming types of tasting rooms particularly when the owners are present. Hope they do well’

A great place for Santa Barbara Syrah & interesting White blends. We had the room all to ourselves on a Thursday early afternoon, and it was amazing visiting with the owner, Paolo. He’s interesting and generous with his knowledge of wines and the wine business. He has a large selection of Syrah from various high end vineyards, and the Kempe label white blend is super well made. An excellent, must go-to Tasting Room in Los Olivos.

Fantastic new tasting room in Los Olivos producing quality wine. We walked in on a whim and are so glad we did. Great wine, good vibe. I can’t wait to bring my husband back here as I know he’ll love the syrah!

Our first time stopping by and we really enjoyed our wines. I really like the Syrah Rose so we picked up a bottle of that. Service was friendly, lots of cool things to look at in the shop and a few friendly pups.

A great offering of Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Grenache! The folks who run this winery, Erin and Paolo, are just the coolest people. So friendly and ready to talk with you! And the wines rock! If you are in Los Olivos, make sure you visit!

Now there’s a new reason to visit Los Olivos! It was enjoyable to engage with someone so knowledgeable and passionate about the wine they’re serving. Both Erin and Paolo are truly interested in what you think about the wine and what you like. Refreshing. Three syrah’s, one syrah-grenache blend, one rose, and a pinot noir were on the menu. I thought the rose was surprising — in a good way. If you’re tired of the mostly predictable strawberry tropical rose’s most tasting rooms serve, this will be a refreshing change. The pinot was fantastically pinot. The syrah’s were each uniquely different and hard to pick a favorite. They’re currently pouring 2009’s and a 2010. Nice to see the maturity in what’s being offered. Three or more bottles purchased waived the $ 12 tasting fee. No brainer. A general comment to those visiting Los Olivos be aware the city sewer is a septic system and could be a misunderstood concept for some city folk. Some restaurants have flushing toilets, but public toilets are not. Most wineries suggest«going» to the church which welcomes visitors and is very close to the center of this tiny town. Plan accordingly.
