Excellent meal… the rolls with the cinnamon butter, sooo good. I had the 6oz Dallas Filet Medium Rare with the House Salad and Seasoned Rice. No complaints, the steak was cooked to perfection.

Another low-end experience here last week. Hardly one bite of the $ 8.99 early bird special steak was all digestible meat. The broccoli was overcooked, even tho specifically asked for it to be not mushy, and its brown tips appeared to be chopped last month. Only reason for not one star is that service was reasonably timely and the salad was ok.

Our go-to steakhouse. Feels like a chain, is a chain, but one that started and grew up right here in Louisville. The friendly staff greets you like old friends, the beer is cold, the margaritas are among Louisville’s best, and the steaks are tender and usually cooked to order. Fresh yeast rolls with cinnamon butter-like substance alongside are a nice touch. Great place to watch ball games at the hometown-friendly bar. Inexpensive, casual dress, and rustic décor unfortunately welcomes family dining so don’t look for a quiet corner here, and don’t expect to be seated at the table reserved for Willie Nelson because it is reservd for Willie.

Texas Roadhouse is a local-ish chain, spread nationwide. I think this specific store is right next to their corporate overlords or at least an office for them. I love Texas Roadhouse because they are staffed with friendly, chipper people who bring you consistent, good food. I know what to expect when I come in and I appreciate that. While I love eating at local, independent places when meeting friends or if I just want something known and comfortable I know I can come here. The prices are reasonable and they have a fun selection at the bar. The major draw back isn’t that they make a ‘big deal’ out of people’s birthdays — I realize that for those of you with friends it’s a fun thing to do — but the volume at which they scream for everyone’s attention routinely startles people and this happens every time I go to this one. Yes, let’s celebrate your liberation from your mother’s uterus. No, let’s not send someone to the grave for it.

I can not lie, I enjoy Texas Roadhouse. My husband and and I share the 12 oz Ribeye and 2 salads as our sides. I would of given them a better rating this evening but the service was very slow this evening. Usually, this place is on the ball and I am not sure if they were suffering from a Easter Hangover but on a couple of occasions this evening we had to help ourselves(which I do not mind). My steak was great, nice pink and juicy. The salad hit the spot. For the bargain price of $ 16.99 you and your partner can share a 12oz steak, 2 sides, unlimited rolls and unlimited peanuts. Not bad for a inexpensive date.

If you know me at all, then you know I usually avoid chain restaurants like the plague. I’m more of a eat local kind of gal. I prefer to support my fellow Louisvillians by dining at our bazillion amazing eateries. Well, last night I was in the area so we decided to stop in Texas Roadhouse for an ice cold beer and some cheap grub. I had a tall Miller Light which hit the spot, way too many of their delicious hot rolls with cinnamon butter, and then we split a steak combo. We ordered the sirloin medium rare and two baked potatoes for the sides. One loaded and one not. The meal also came with five shrimp. The steak was cooked well, but not super flavorful. Hooray for Heinz 57! The loaded potato was great. Who doesn’t like a tater topped with butter, cheese, and sour cream? Yum! The shrimp were pretty good too. Two out of the five had way too much seasoning making it very salty and not so fun to eat. All in all I had a good meal. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was chill, we had free peanuts while we waited for our food, and the bill was low for two people to enjoy a dinner out. Not bad. Not bad at all. Now I doubt I’ll rush back, but I was very satisfied with the experience.

I feel discrimination while I am pick up my carry out today night. Just because two piece of extra bread. You can not treat different between people even you have policy. I didn’t order bad. I order one appetizer, two entrée. If ask extra bread need pay just tell me, don’t give extra 4 to the white in front of me, and give me a box very quick, and when I open in home is only 2. I even happy that they listening when I ask for extra bread. So I pay 5 dollar cash tip. I don’t know how many times I sit down eat there. But i will refuse to eat here anymore. I call the Manager, he said he is on my side, but I didn’t feel like that way. You can not treat people different. If you have policy. Just tell every one from first beginning. I can not believe that I feel so discrimination. Yes. I am Asian, nothing wrong with it.

I know what to expect from a place like this, but even this visit failed my expectations. The only reason my rating isn’t one star is because my waitress was very kind. I got the country fired sirloin, and it came slow. The resturant is about as busy as usual. When it came out, the server was a tad rude, but to my dismay it was the food that failed the most. The batter that used was akin to pancake batter. It was very sweet. Also to be mentioned, the resturant’s music was excessively loud. I could hardly hear my companions.

This location is the worst one in Louisville. They always overcook my steak and I got terrible food poisoning here, which was my last visit. Yuck! I had to call into work. It was the only meal that I had eaten all day and I know that it came from here. I’ve also had terrible cuts of steak here. I will never return to this location! Terrible!

Texas Roadhouse has 400+ locations throughout the U.S. but a special connection to Louisville, Ky because of its headquarters. I appreciate it for its consistency as a good family restaurant, for the young and old. Known for it’s peanuts, Texas Roadhouse does still greet you with a messy floor in the waiting area. However, it’s cleaned up its act inside of the restaurant, instead placing an empty bucket for guests to put peanuts shells. Obvious Public Safety Announcement: This is not a place for guests with peanut allergies. The rolls are quite delicious and placed at the table from the moment you are seated. Cinnamon butter is their staple but if you aren’t into it, they will grab you regular butter to slather on them. My favorite meal is the Chicken Critters(aka«tenders). You get several thick, breaded tenders with honey mustard and/or BBQ and two sides. I recommend at least one of your sides be the House Salad. My kids are fans of the Kids Meals, especially the Steak Dino Bites or Mini Cheeseburgers. Each comes with a drink and one side. They always choose steak fries. Being able to order steak off the Kids Menu is a big reason we visit Texas Roadhouse. Most restaurants don’t offer this, and especially at a reasonable price. Our servers have consistently been friendly and fast throughout our many visits. No complaints. Quick Tip: Texas Roadhouse often publishes coupons for Monday-Thursday weeknights. They also have 99 cents Kids Meals on Mondays. For weekends, I encourage you to call ahead, especially for larger parties.

I try to avoid chain restaurants. There are so many other options in Louisville that are locally owned. You can feel the love and pride of the owners and employees in non-chain restaurants. Chains tend to be perfectly fine, not bad but not great, with a feeling of déjà vu any time you set foot in one. That said, Texas Roadhouse stands out from the crowd. It’s not the décor. The antlers and horns and peanut-covered floor are identical to any other chain steakhouse. It’s the service, the food, and the price. The servers are attentive, ready with a fresh glass of tea just before you finish the one in your hand. Rolls are carried to the table by the hostess, along with the menus. It’s nice to not have the bread held hostage until you place your order. The steaks are good, the sides are fine, the salads are fresh. And it’s pretty inexpensive. Not bad, Texas Roadhouse. Not bad. 4 stars on the chain scale.

We were instantly greeted with smiles. Restuarant was really clean and festive in the holiday spirit! Food was cooked perfectly. I chose the BBQ chicken entrée. This is the most tender and juicy chicken breast! They definitely do chicken right at this steakhouse. The salads were fresh and crisp with crunchy but soft croutons. Our waitress, Jennifer was amazing and left nothing to be desired! Amazing service! We never had to ask for refills and checked in frequently to make sure our experience was the best.

I gave them five stars because they are consistent. They have tons of employees. Service is always very professional and quick. Out of the 20 or 30 times of been, I have only sent a steak back once. I always get the small 6 ounce sirloin, but it is always a good cut of meat. Not as flavorful as places, but consistently very good. Their Caesar salad dressing is delicious. I love the cinnamon butter for the rolls. Yesterday was my birthday, and I climbed on the saddle they brought while they wished me a happy birthday. Great service!

We eat here pretty regularly, due to it’s convenient location, and quick and friendly service. I especially love how the noise of this establishment consistently drowns out the obnoxious whining of my older offspring, allowing me to eat in peace. We’re generally not the type to send food back, especially not at a chain restaurant like this, but come on!!! How hard it is to grill a medium-rare filet? Well for this establishment, it’s VERY challenging. We’re here about once a week(don’t judge me), and this is like the 5th time he’s had to send it back. Kind of annoying, but whatever. However, today, not only was his steak cooked wrong again, when they brought back from the grill, the steak tasted positively rotten. Food-borne illness anyone? Barely an apology from the server, and the manager didn’t stop by or anything. Never again, folks.

I was going to give this place 4 stars. First off, my only knock. They did away with the BBQ baked beans. This was my favorite side by far. Food was great. Super busy but excellent customer service. Why I gave it 5 stars? My friend left his car lights on…(He was my ride). An employee from Texas Roadhouse jumped his car. You talk about great people. You can’t beat good people.

We stopped by here before and for some reason, this place is always packed. Not just busy, but packed. Like we missed the free food announcement or something. It is a chain and somewhat unoriginal menu offering, but the food is still well prepared and overall worth eating. I have not had a bad meal here. Regardless of how busy the place was, we still got great service. That surprised me the most. I think there were around 9854234 people there when we went and the waitress was not stressed, rushed, or late with anything. For the food, the pricing isn’t bad. Plenty of parking. All that jazz.

Although it’s a generic, chain steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse is consistently good. I’ve never had anything bad here, though I usually get steak. It’s certainly not comparable to any of the nice steak places in town, but it’s definitely the best of it’s competitors(Outback, Longhorn, Logan’s, etc). With lower prices and tastier steaks, it’s the best value of these chains. There always seems to be a wait here, but my family utilizes their«call ahead seating,» which cuts the wait time significantly.
