I really was hoping for a good meal but once again after a 10 year hiatus the meal was very mediocre. The filet was weirdly split in the middle and very dry but it was cooked a perfect medium. Baked potato and asparagus were okay. Fat Tire beer served in a freshly washed glass that was very wet and caused the beer to lose it’s bite. Overall not a good meal. Our server on the other hand was amazingly sweet! The restaurant is also very noisy. And please clean your bathrooms!

My family tends to have birthday parties here because everyone can find something to eat. The staff was awesome during my grandmothers birthday party. Very nice, accommodating and all around caring.

This is a corporate steakhouse and the food was okay, I’m becoming more and more Louisvillian and partial to our hometown steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse. That having been said Jeff was a remarkable waiter and kept everything on pace and my Coke Zero full. Jeff made this a great experience and why I can rate the place so highly. Everything was okay but nothing that made me say, «wow, what a great time!» The location is difficult to get in and out of, the wait is almost always longer than I’d like and while the service is good other places are so much better I can’t see bothering with it. I had a good time but again, that’s the waiter not the place.

The last time few times we have went our steaks have been overcooked. The service was good. The food was not. Generally speaking Outback is a good place to eat. The food is good if prepared properly.

Oh Outback… how did you fall from quality, value and good so fast? Saturday night we arrived at 5 pm for dinner. Server was friendly and quickly took our order but service was ridiculously slow. In fact we did not leave the restaurant till almost 2 hours later. As an appetizer we order cheese fries that came out about thirty minutes after ordering them cold And smelling unappetizing. In past I have ordered seafood from outback and was very pleased so I decided to try the $ 18 crab cakes from servers recommendation and was hugely disappointed. Crab cakes were bland and completely uninspired. They also came with just a butter sauce that really did nothing for the taste of these bland patties. As a side I ordered a blue cheese side salad and was greatly underwhelmed by the warm and unfavorable salad with barely any dressing. As we left the restaurant I heard other tables complaining how slow service was.

Bloomin onion is about half the size they used to be. Food was served cold and slow service too.

Slow service, takes forever to get refills, they seem understaff. Ordered chicken quesadilla, had 3 strips of chicken in it, thank god they took it off the bill. I went to carrabas first, there was a wait, we should have waited. We are from Lexington, most likely won’t be back at this location. Other places to choose from.

Outback was always a place you could count on excellent food. We will not go back after eating there for many years. Chicken was small and dry. Ribs were also small and burnt. Both meats were cooked some time long before serving. They plate had more white space than food. The broccoli and potato were good. I will be letting family know no more gift cards.

Visited this Outback with a group of nine… On a Saturday, January 9… Service was good, food was good, but diappointed in presentation, no color to platter or garnish… Platters small and crowded with prime rib and fries… Chicken breast sat alone on platter since salad served earlier was the one side. ½ slab of ribs was a portion of 4 bones… Not very meaty, and less than 6 Inches in size… for over $ 15 with one side offered…

The food tasted good, except for the fact that the steaks and baked potatoes were cold and it came out two minutes after the salad and soup they might want to put some effort into training the staff About proper timing so the guest may enjoy one course before the next one arrives.

In the past, my experience with Outback has been fine. Not my favorite restaurant, but a place I could get a decent meal and leave satisfied. I would have put it in the 2 to 3 star range. It has been over a year since I’ve been to Outback, and they’ve apparently gone WAY down hill. My most recent visit to Outback was a 1 star experience, and I don’t think I’ll ever be back to give it another try. We had a gift card and decided to meet friends at Outback on Saturday night. We arrived around 7:00 and were seated at 7:30. We didn’t leave the restaurant until 9:30. The service was painfully slow and unapologetic. We saw our server every 20 minutes or so. Crazy. Still, I can handle slow service when I’m with friends, as I can remain occupied with conversation. The food is what really ruined the meal. I ordered the 10 oz ribeye, cooked medium, for $ 23. It comes with a salad and a side, which I chose broccoli and cheese casserole. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing. It was cooked medium and medium well in some places, but the vast majority of the steak was well done. It was hard as a rock. Due to the dim, warm lighting in Outback, my picture actually looks much better than reality. Not only was it overcooked to a well done, the cut of steak was very poor. I question whether it was even a ribeye. The steak was so thin that it was more reminiscent of flank steak. The flavor was bland and the meat was dry. Undoubtedly the worst«ribeye» I’ve seen or tasted. Additionally, the broccoli and cheese casserole was loaded with salt. I like my food heavily salted, and it was even too much for me. I advise against this side item. I NEVER complain or send back a meal, but this steak was just too bad to keep quiet. After a couple bites, I mentioned to the server that it was overcooked and a very poor cut of meat. She immediately agreed that the steak looked awful, and alerted the manager. He also saw the poor quality and removed it from our bill without question, and even offered to make me another steak free of charge. I declined, as we had already been there over two hours. I appreciate and commend their effort to make the situation right. However, I still don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

Well old faithful… you are hard to beat. Outback 6oz Sirloin cooked perfectly with a loaded baked potato and broccoli for $ 11??? You can’t buy it for cheaper. This location was around long before they opened 5 more in greater Louisville and as long as you have an experienced server(I’d say you have a 50⁄50 shot unless you know who to ask for) you are going to be pleased. Everything I have ever eaten at Outback is exactly as their menu describes. I hate to brag on a chain but the truth is Carabas, Bonefish & Outback make their food from scratch and have policies and procedures in place for success. If you own one or or work for one and you follow the system everything is awesome. OB Favorites of Mine? *Aussie Cheese Fries(ordered crispy… on a serious cheat day) *Outback Sirloin w/Double Broccoli(dressed like a potato on a diet compliant day) *Coconut Shrimp *Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla

You know, I used to go to Outback all the time. It was my lo-carb go-to restaurant when I was in that diet phase, and it was always a great place to bring a few people and just hang out, grab some beers, wonder why the place had an Australian theme, and have a good evening. I got away from Outback when I moved to a city where there really just wasn’t one nearby, but now that I’m living back in a real city and Unilocaling, I got to go back. And I’ll probably keep going back. You know exactly what you’re going to get at any Outback in the country, and it’s good. Good steak, good salads, good beer, that blooming onion is fantastic, and consistent service in a nice atmosphere. It can get a bit busy, but I tend to take the popularity as a testament to its worthiness.

I picked up a to-go order and it was horrible. The steak was cold, the blooming onion was soggy and cold. The bread wasnt even heated. I will not be back.

Once again I have come for my favorite tasting steak and am disappointed because it is undercooked and gristly. The bread is never heated up enough. Atmosphere is great and service was good

The server was friendly and the service was great! I had the double burger, Aussie fries and house salad. The food was great and cooked properly. The salad was good too, it was cold without being frozen. I’ll be back many more times if this quality continues.

5 stars. You gotta be kidding. Linda the mgr is worth a zero by herself. It gets a 2 because the waiter tried to apologize. My steak had to be cooked 3x before it came out medium. The asparagus was sitting in steak blood for $ 1 extra. Ms. Linda looked like she was irritated for having to go to the kitchen to have steaks grilled over & over again. I had said we have a birthday at the table. I guess that fell on death ears. Overall service & bad management gives this place this score. They were not even packed due to Kentucky in the NCAA game. Just sad & disappointing.

Best chain restaurant in Louisville. Other out backs are nowhere near as good as this one. Look no further it’s dinner time. Service and food 5 stars.

This outback has one of the best waitstaff that I have had in a restaurant in a long time. They are always polite and very helpful. Every time I have been in there, there has been a table with someone with special needs. The waitstaff has ALWAYS been very accommodating to those patrons, making sure that their experience is exceptional.

Longhorn’s steakhouses seem to be more the thing around here, but Outback is awesome. The service was attentive but not too much so, the wait was minimal and comfortable(nice seating, water available), and the food was so good — steaks cooked exactly how we’d asked, sides too. We left bellies full and hearts happy. Will be returning.
