Halloween is here yay! I can never do anything easy when it comes to this holiday, and I typically make my costume because let’s face it. it’s much more awesometastic that way. I pride myself on original costumes and good old fashioned creepiness. Well this years crazy costume called for some liquid latex in order to form a mask out of toilet paper and plastic wrap. easy right? :) In hindsight I shouldn’t have waited till, oh NOW. to do the costume. Yeah. No. Liquid latex is difficult to find, and not fun to search for. I ventured in on my own thinking it’d be sticking out with a neon sign blazing over it or something, but to my dismay. it was not. So what the heck, there are employees everywhere so I’ll ask one of them. Wait. ok, they aren’t everywhere apparently. I couldn’t find a single soul. So, I wandered around aimlessly until I found someone. When I asked her about my intended product she looked at me like I had 3 heads… and I’m not even in my costume yet. Sheesh. She asked me what I was using this stuff for so I told her about my mask and she shook her head and said she didn’t think they would even have it. I was persistent though, this is a CRAFT store, where people use stuff to make other stuff. so she begrudgingly called someone else. That lady had the same reaction to my query. I had also picked up some type of gloss for painting but wasn’t sure what type of paint would be best used with it… when I asked them both, all I got was shrugs from both sides. Oh. wait, I’m sorry. I’m asking about a paint product at a CRAFTSTORE from CRAFTSTOREEMPLOYEES!!! I left empty handed and miffed. yes, Miffed. I said it and I’m not taking it back. If you need any type of crafts that are out of the ordinary, I’d stay away from this Hobby Lobby. The thing that irked me the most about this whole experience… I went to a Lowes in search of liquid latex as a last resort. the awesome ladies there. found it online for me… at a HOBBYLOBBY!!!
