My husband and I went here a few days ago when visiting Plaid Room Records across the street. We had our dog with us and were so happy to be able to take my dog onto the patio with us. We sat on the patio and our waitress brought a bowl of ice water for the dog with our drinks — without us asking — so nice! I ordered a cheeseburger and waffle fries and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with waffle fries. Both were SOO Good. The waffle fries were a must-try from a friend’s rec and they were dead on. So so good. Our bill was cheap for the amount of food we got and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

This place sure gets crowded during peak business but it is sure worth the wait. One of my favorite local Bizzes and it is in my favorite area. Paxton’s is a best kept Cincinnati secret that I’m willing to share with all I meet! Right in the middle of downtown Loveland, Paxton’s is in the heart of the bike trail. There are so many great local Bizzes surrounding the trail and this restaurant, you can definitely make a whole day of it or come back and try everything on different trips! Paxton’s is known for their burgers and here you can get your burger«bumped.» Bumping your burger means doubling up the meat in the patty. Their famous Big Paxton burger always comes burger bumped but others you can request for it that way. I think my boyfriend has had most of their burgers on the menu and him being a HUGE burger guy, these are his favorite burgers ever. They aren’t anything fancy or gourmet. Just homemade and massive burgers. I personally love their wraps, my fave is the club wrap. Turkey, ham, bacon, shredded lettuce and tomato wrapped in a tortilla. Most of their food is served with waffle fries and ALWAYSALWAYSALWAYS get the waffle fries. Their app menu is also full of delicious and classic appetizers that are half-off from 3−7pm Monday thru Friday! Happy hour they also serve $ 2 domestic bottles and $ 1 off drafts. Paxton first-timer tips: Waiting for a table? Go to the bar inside and grab a drink, there probably aren’t bar seats available but you can go stand in the covered outdoor patio. Try to sit on the patio on a nice night or day, it’s not as tight as sitting inside. The inside seating are tables where if you don’t have a group larger enough you might split a table with another small party. Tables are really tight inside this small space but it gives you that more hometown feel and it’s to help accommodate the large demand of customers during the dinner rush. They have later hours than most of the surrounding businesses so you can be sure to grab a late dinner bite here as well. This is one of our favorite local Bizzes and one we will always continue to support. The friendly staff, the at home feel and the location is everything that helps drive this business. TRYIT! You won’t be disappointed.

This is becoming my favorite Loveland restaurant. It is a a little cramped but the addition of outside, covered seating has really helped getting a table or seat without a crazy wait. I have eaten here now almost a dozen times in the last 3 – 4 months. Service has been good to great all but one time. Food is good to great depending on what you like. From the appetizer menu I highly recommend the quesadilla(large, meaty, cheesey) the loaded fries(a full meal by itself), the pretzels, and if you like mushrooms the Hungarian mushroom soup. The wings, pickles, and nachos are good as well. Chili was the only mediocre appetizer I had but that might have to do with the one time the service was off as it was cold, and the waitress(who I have not seen again) was put off I wanted it hot, and 10 minutes later it came back lukewarm. Of the sandwiches their featured burger is huge and very good. I was surprised how good the Mahi and cod sandwiches were. The waffle fries are the best side in my opinion. The chicken sandwiches are also very good. The only disappointment has been the goetta sandwich — I really like goetta but it is overwhelmed by too much cheese and onion toppings and served on huge slices of rye(poor meat to bread ratio). The happy hour deals are really good — now planning our«Bike to a Beverage» rides around this. Staff is friendly and more than a few times the owner(Ralph) has stopped by the table to check on us. Makes it feel more like a real locals place!

Paxton’s charm is it’s local feel and atmosphere. I had been here a few years ago coming back from a business trip with my workmate. So when my wife ad I found ourselves in the neighborhood(on the way back from a boutique yarn store Saturday afternoon — her passion), I suggested Paxton’s which ended up being a great choice. It had not changed since I was last there, and I’m guessing it hasn’t changed much in years it’s been open. Located in «old» Loveland, parking and traffic can be a bit much(the Little Miami bike trail passes right by), but it’s worth any trouble getting there. Prices are good and there is a lot on the menu. Both of us had wraps, and had to push off dinner that evening because they were so filling. The«better than pub grub» offerings should satisfy just about everyone on your list. The beer selection is also good and features a number of local brews. They also offer patio seating in front of the establishment, along W. Loveland Ave. Have a beer, have a meal, have a great time in a relaxing hometown atmosphere!

We are bike riders and frequently ride to Loveland for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Previously we have stopped at Paxton’s and had horrible service. Decided to try one more time today for breakfast. We seated ourselves outside and waited on service. Two gentleman arrived after us, and were provided menus and their order was taken. We were not offered menus, or drinks as the wait staff were present at various intervals. The outside seating area was only half full. My wife spoke with the manager who provided my wife with excuses for the poor service and she did not offer any assistance in rectifying the situation. We will gladly explore other options when we are in the area.

We just left tonight and I ordered my usual the Big Paxton and as usual ordered medium and delivered well done, and as usual it was still very good. The club is giant and stuffed with meat. Service is always good and tonight it was excellent with Mariah as our server. What a wonderful personality and perfect execution. You’ll never get a medium burger here, but it’s still one of the best places to stop for hometown atmosphere.

Great spot to eat right off the bike trail. This is a great place to come and enjoy a nice meal with friends. If the weather is nice, the place is usually packed. They have really good burgers and the pretzel bites appetizer is the best! Really friendly service and great atmosphere!

Great food, craft beers and fabulous service by amazing bartenders and wait staff! Try the blackened grouper either in a sandwich, platter or ceaser salad — always fresh & tasty! Burgers are also very good.

Got the Cuban panini… it was a huge sandwich. A bit spicier than I expected but really good flavor. Husband got the rodeo burger with waffle fries which he also enjoyed. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

I haven’t posted on here in a long time but this place was so good I had to get on to add this. I had the Santa Fe(it was amazing) and my gf had a burger and also said it was amazing. Also had great friendly service — we live over 30 mins from here and will definitely be back.

This was a good way to end our day in Loveland. We just came in for some grub before heading home. It is a typical sports bar atmosphere, but the staff was extremely friendly. This seems to be the case in most places in Loveland that we have visited. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with waffle fries. It was good. The waffle fries were done perfectly. I hate over-cooked fries. Just the right amount of heat in the wrap. No drinks here — except iced tea. We had already had our fill after our self-guided pub crawl. They also have a 3 seasons patio that is right out front. If you want to watch the traffic drive by. We met up with a couple friends who had just finished some bike riding on the trail. Very convenient location.

just what my husband and I were looking for! We loved the fun, laid-back feeling of paxtons. Great food, awesome location and friendly service. Seeing all the bikers going to/from the bike trail was fun. I love to support small businesses and I have a feeling Paxtons will get lots of our business.

I’ve lived in Cincinnati for 40 years and have never been to downtown Loveland until I got a job there. Therefore, I had never heard of or been to Paxton’s until my boss took me there. It was fabulous! Very friendly folks greet you upon entering and the service was great; very efficient. The menu is chock full of things that sound delicious, and I had a hard time deciding on one thing. I went with the salmon BLT and it was delicious. The put a herb cheese on it that is like a party in your mouth! The sandwich was way bigger than I expected, as they give you a rather large piece of salmon. They should call it a Salmon Burger! Very relaxed atmosphere for lunch, not too busy and comfortable. I can walk there from my office… and this summer I know I will. Often!

Paxton’s is our go to place in downtown Loveland. We’ve been for drinks, dinner, and their breakfasts on the weekend and enjoy it each time. Recommend the 1664 on tap. It is a good place to take kids as long as they’re not packed at the time. Each kid has a few things they like off the menu. For dinner, we go for burgers, wraps or wings. If you’ll be back a lot, join their VIP club to earn free appetizers.

Nestled in the heart of Loveland’s downtown, Paxton’s is a quaint bar and restaurant sandwiched between an old time barber shop and an old school candy shop. There are also a number of other locally owned restaurants on the street. You enter through their patio and at least at lunch time on a Saturday, you can seat yourself. Although there’s a servers desk you basically walk into when you enter. They have a nice bar with several Tvs, it seemed as if the bartender knew many of the patrons. The high top tables are covered in this really interesting copper. There seems to be a fair amount of seating, yet it’s not too loud, nor are you stacked on top of each other. If it was a little warmer, we would have sat out side on the patio. As you eat your food, yes, I should mention that too, you can watch all the activity from the Loveland Bike Trail as it is just across the street. It’s so cute! Say your with a sports nut and you’re not a huge fan of watching the game, there’s more than enough action going on elsewhere, so much people watching. The food, we got the Paxton burger and onion rings as well as the Cuban panini. The menu has all of your traditional bar offerings, but I would say probably a step or two up. The burger was huge, two types of cheese gooey from melted perfection and bacon, crispy, adding some texture, much better than the rubbery, grisly kind. Because I sometimes sample other people’s food… only when offered though, I promise! I had to try the onion rings. This was probably my favorite part of both meals. The onion rings were thick, generously coated in batter, and crisped to perfection. And, they were greasy either! Basically, I’m saying they were perfect, the only thing that could improve them slightly is a dipping sauce. They were so hearty and meaty, they seemed perfect for that. The Cuban panini wasn’t too bad either. It was a little weird, in that there’s usually a few different types of meat in a panini. I’m not sure this one was traditional. It was bbq pork and ham, which tasted great. It was just that when the sandwich was pressed, it’s like they didn’t stack the meats. Instead, it was like having two separate sandwiches, one half bbq pork the other a ham and cheese. It’s still tasted very good and the bread was crispy and held up. It just wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. It seems as though Paxton’s has the location and the offerings that could make more than the people at the bar regulars.

First of all, I’ve lived in Cincinnati for half my life and am embarrassed to admit that my visit to Paxton’s was during my first trip to downtown Loveland. Gosh, that part of town is so stinkin’ cute! Between the bike path and the adorable shops and bars, it makes me wish I still lived in the ‘burbs — and that’s saying something! Now, onto Paxton’s. It’s pretty much what you’d expect of a neighborhood sports bar — dim lighting, high and low top tables, flatscreens everywhere, etc. Although, I thought the food was a step up from the average bar food. We all pretty much had something from every part of the menu(I had the buffalo chicken tenders app) and I’m pretty sure we licked each plate clean. If you’re into bloody marys(I’m not), I hear their’s are some of the best in the city! I definitely wouldn’t mind venturing back to Paxton’s — this time it won’t be another 15 years before I make it back to Loveland!

The Vegetarian dinner entrée that I ordered last night was SOGOOD, I will go back just to eat it again! My friend also ordered it, and was equally impressed. We got the Roasted Portabella $ 8.99,a marinated portabella grilled and topped with avocado, hummus, herb cheese and balsamic glaze. Served with broccoli.

Great Location next to the Loveland bike trail. My daughters and I ate here on a recent Tuesday night. I had the blackened grouper sandwich and it was very tasty. I did not think much of the kids meals. I thought the meals were very small. We were there during happy hour when appetizers were half price. Next time I will simply order a couple of appetizers for the girls to share. They did enjoy the pretzel bites we ordered. A nice place for a casual dinner.
