Decent food but the comparisons to the likes of Roberto’s and such are way way off ! There is No comparison to a Roberto’s carne asada burrito. Portion here are decent but it reminds me of the old wendy commercial«where’s the beef». The tortilla is so big it wraps around the fillings time and a half, there’s your portion size. I eat here because there are ZERO Good mexican places in Loveland, I repeat ZERO. This place will have to do.

Legit SoCal style Mexican food that I have been looking for ever since leaving Vegas. Robertos is the perfect comparison. Crazy excited to have finally found this place. My daughter was so happy to find her version of the perfect bean and cheese burrito too.

My family eats a ridiculous amount of delicious burritos from Tatas. Like Bob said, «they are delicious and satisfying» and have a drive thru. There isn’t any pretension here though. Like, if you got your PhD in Tortilla Criticism from the University of San Diego, while you were actually in Oaxaca having ____… You might not like this place. It’s yummy. It’s hearty. It’s spicy enough for us. And they’re super nice. And independent. But mostly: YUMMY

Have eaten at Tata’s 3 – 4 times and different things almost all times. Everything has been tasty and satisfying. Tamales are as good as anywhere I have been. Service each time was good to great. Small nook along the busy one way does a nice job.

I hit them when they were out of ground beef. Really? It’s 100 and you’re out? Then I’m told they’re out of ice. The guy behind the counter was nice, offering to go get me done ice. From where I wondered perhaps Taco Bell next door? I politely declined. Supreme burrito and drink was under 6.00. Not bad. While not on Chipotles level, I’m getting tired of their prices. I’ll be back to try the Colorado burrito at some point

Driving by, it’s easy to overlook this restaurant as it is nestled between two fast food restaurants. After passing by multiple times, we decided to make a point to stop in. When we walked in we got fantastic customer service. The cashier was new but was really sweet and ended up getting the owner? to help ring up our order and pay. I really like supporting what appears to be a local, family owned restaurant and I really, really wanted to love the food. The food was good solid comfort food but was lacking in spice and depth of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas and he thought they weren’t spicy enough. This was shocking to hear because he thinks mild salsa can be too spicy depending on the brand. What the what(a la Liz Lemon)? My dish was the huevos rancheros with an a la carte chile relleno. I like things spicy and not only found myself wanting more spice but I had to add salt to my food. The chili didn’t really taste like anything. The price was right at $ 18 for everything but had it been more expensive we would have felt that we overpaid for what we got.

Let me start by saying I enjoyed this place when it opened. Sadly it has gone down hill and I can never return. Dare not look in the kitchen, it’s dirty. Cashier used to be so nice and helpful, now it’s some kid with a attitude. Carnegie asada was awesome, now it tastes microwaved. Ate a lot of meals here and felt good about it, now I will not set foot in this place.

I completely agree with the review by Jeff R. I lived in San Diego until my mid twenties and after I moved, I just could not find any Mexican food that would live up to the standard of what I was used to… Alberto’s and Roberto’s for sure! If you’re looking for a good Carne Asada Burrito, in a great authentic tortilla, then this is where you need to head. Their Colorado Burrito is the same as a California Burrito. Love this place. Thankful to get my So Cal mexican food craving met here.

If you ever lived in San Diego or visited for long enough to have a reaction to the names Roberto’s or Alberto’s then cancel any plans you have for lunch or dinner and head here. San Diego has a very specific style of Mexican food that is difficult to find anywhere else, its hard to describe, but if you’ve grown up with it almost nothing else will do. There are a few places around that come very close… Tata’s is the closest I’ve seen. I get the other reviewers giving mediocre reviews. Some people just don’t «get» this style of Mexican food and if you have no clue what you are in for it will seem to be a letdown. It’s not tex-mex, or Colorado green chili mexican there are tons of restaurants that will cater to those needs. Again, if you are looking for Roberto’s or Alberto’s style Mexican food this is your place. A slice of San Diego in Loveland.

I can understand where the low-star reviews are coming from — the bathrooms are reportedly disgusting, the ambience is exclusively mexican pop radio, the service is quick but impersonal, and the parking lot is a pain to get in and out of. Here’s what I don’t understand — everything I’ve tried here has been delicious, and I’ve had almost every single burrito on the dinner menu. The breakfast burritos are also quite tasty. My favorite at the moment is the Colorado burrito. Neither of their salsas are anything special, but for the price the taste is amazing. I don’t mean that as a gentle slight either, the food is delicious. My friends and I get absolutely stuffed for less than four dollars and laugh at people sitting in the drive-thru for Taco Bell. Give Tata’s a chance — just don’t go to the bathroom.

I am on the fence about giving this place three stars or four stars. I think I am going to settle with four. Tata’s food is not the best out there but it certainly isn’t bad. The guy running the drawer and making orders was very friendly and brought out my torta quickly. The torta itself was doable and the prices were reasonable. What was the deciding factor with my star rating was I had to ask myself, ‘Would I go back?’ and the answer was ‘Yes.’ There is a small area where you can get your salsa here and kind of a spicy, pickled carrots which made me go back at least twice for another helping as a side dish(This area is complimentary).

Sigh, I had high hopes when I heard a Mexican restaurant was going to open in the old KFC building next door to Taco Bell near HYW287&HWY34, but this place is a huge disappointment. Everything is bad and I mean everything: the service, the food, the décor and ambiance I mean everything. As sad as this is to say I would rather go to the Taco Bell next door than this place. I doubt this place can make it one year.

Well let’s add a place to the mass of Loveland’s extremely mediocre Mexican restaurants. I went here today for lunch and I wouldn’t say the food is bad but I can’t say its all that good either. Its just mediocre. Nothing special I had their enchilada special which was a chicken, beef and cheese enchilada with rice and beans. They used yellow cheese and the thicker yellow corn tortillas for them. The chicken and beef which were both shredded btw tasted ok but didn’t have a ton of flavor. The cheese was just well cheese. In conclusion all I have to say is with TacoBell right next door I would find it hard to ever go back here during my lunch break.

I’m not gonna lie… I came for the name. That’s right — Tata’s — see it’s just fun to say. Try it! Honestly, the food isn’t bad. I had the steak nachos… good sized portions, reasonable prices and lots of flavor. It’s like a fiesta all up in your face!

Tried this place for the first time. The Menu looked really good with a large selection of Tacos, Burritos etc… My favorite has always been a Chile Relleno Burrito which I tried and a side dish of rice. The price was reasonable for the size of the burrito which was large. Aside from the flour tortilla the burrito was filled with lettuce, tomato, sour cream Spanish rice and of course the chile relleno. While prefer beans in my burrito instead of rice, this was really good. The rice was excellent but if I had known the burrito had rice I would have asked for beans instead and gotten a different side dish. Overall for today it was very good and will try a different dish next time just to make sure. Having moved here from CA. I learned quickly that the Mexican Food here in CO. is very different. I’m just glad to find a place that make them like I want!!!
