Limited menu. The cape cod crunch burger is my fav and only $ 9. Sweet potato fries are on point. Drinks are great, wish there was more menu variety. Less college students!

I’ve been here three times within the last year. Lunch is good, but dinner was out of this world! The first time there, I got the steak frites. The waitress pleasantly accepted my request to substitute steamed spinach in place of arugula. Everything was delicious! I got a large part of my steak to go, and the server put a little container of the au jus in my takeout box. That was very considerate, because the au jus is amazingly good! This last week I was there, and my boyfriend and I split an appetizer, dinner, and dessert. We got the Korean BBQ chicken tenders, which have a very interesting, rich flavor. For dinner we got their filet mignon. It’s a pound serving, which is a lot of meat — perfectly prepared(rare is the way I like it). Again, I wound up taking some home, and again was given some extra au jus on the side. For dessert we got their«ice cream» sandwich. It was excellent, although the cookies were a little difficult to break apart. Minor quibble. The waitstaff have always been very pleasant and friendly. Kudos to the staff at Fuse! Best place in Lowell for dinner!

You have 2 choices at the corner of Palmer and Middle streets. Fuse and Tremonte. Both have decent bars and outdoor seating. What makes them different is the service quality. Fuse suffers at the hands of the«kids» who seem to be running the place, from behind the bar. We all have choices and after multiple issues over the course of the last few years, I take my business elsewhere. Food is good and if the service level matched, I’d give the place 3 or 4 stars.

I’m surprised by the reviews here. I hadn’t read anything about Fuse prior to dining there, and when I looked here this morning, I was shocked. Our party of 5 had such a great time. Our server was attentive – though the person who served our desserts looked absolutely miserable. We all thought the dishes we had were delicious: duck poutine, tuna burgers, fish tacos, duck pizza. So overall, great food and service. My only complaint, which became a large discussion for my family of adults, was the amount of menu items, especially the dessert menu, that included walnuts. There are two people in my own family with walnut allergies and it meant that of the 4 desserts offered, we could only order 1 item, and we had to ask them to NOT sprinkle walnuts on top. When we brought this to our server’s attention, she agreed and said that the chef really likes nuts. Well, I’m glad the chef likes nuts, but this isn’t the 1970s where walnuts were plentiful. If you were to look at modern menus around Boston/Cambridge, you’d see very few walnuts(if any) on any menus. I strongly encourage the chef to reconsider use of such items that make it difficult for patrons to enjoy as many menu items as possible. I know that no one asked my opinion, but the lighting in there seemed to bright for the space, which is really cool. If they had light fixtures that somehow diffused the overhead lights, it would make the height of the space feel more warm.

Horrible the staff acted like I wasn’t even there when I walked in and there was no one there eating so there is no excuse I was there yesterday 5 in the afternoon I’ll be sure not to come back.

We enjoyed the Fuse just eh, just ok. We sat outside in the nice summer weather on their nice terrace. Service was all over the place as well as the menu. 2 in our party had burgers and they did not have ketchup. The had their own spicy ketchup which not all can enjoy. Who the hell runs out of Heinz? The beers on tap– eh. Please get more. So boring. The fish and chips. Very heavy and greasy. Cole Slaw-bland and more boring. Garden Salads over dressed. Not sure if I would return, but loved the old Market Square location.

This casual restaurant has good food with nice outside seating. We were having a informal business lunch and I was impressed by the service. Our waitress knew we were spending time talking about business issues and gave us time and space while being attentive. I had a lovely lunch salad – light with a good amount of protein. Another person in our party had a tasty individual pizza which he loved. It’s a good place for a light meal and a relaxing chat with friends or colleagues.

Terrible. How hard is it to make a decent salad. Mcdonalds salad would have been better. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with roasted olives, baby spinach, balsamic vinaigrette and greens beans. The salad was drenche’d in canola oil, had no balsamic vinigrette, the chicken was cold and warm, the olives were straight from jar, not roasted. I felt sick afterward. How can you mess up a salad. Do not eat here.

I give myself 1 star for not going sooner. I’ve driven by and lunched/dined at lots of places and hadn’t made it here until today. I have some making up to do. I got the tacos of the day which were blackened tuna with shredded veg tomato salsa and crema. 2 hearty tacos, I’m busting at the seams. Cheryl the bartender was hostess of the hostesses to me and everyone. Attentive and super friendly. I guess I’m happy it was hot as hell and I opted to sit inside or else I wouldn’t have had her service. The cocktail list was creative and extensive. I only went with prosecco and it was a nice sized flute. No cheap skating. Can’t wait to return and gorge on something else. Other establishments could take note of Cheryl’s great personality, attentiveness and attention. I’m sure the restaurant knows they are lucky she’s part of the team.

I am a big fan of this place. The pizza is almost better than Tremonte next door. The drinks are great and I haven’t found a better drink menu in Lowell. The staff is great and they are very attentive. I go here all the time and bring friends and family. They all love it and ask to go back. Another plus is the fuse crunch burger. A burger with cape cod chips on it! Heck yes!

First off, I am not a critical person when it comes to restaurants, I was a server for 2 years and very forgiving when it comes to bad experiences but I was that dissatisfied with my 2 recent experiences here that I couldn’t help but write a review. 1. I decided to go here for dinner with my sister one Friday night. I got their margarita(hibiscus I believe) and it unfortunately tasted like plain orange juice. However, every other drink I’ve ever gotten from here is out of this world. We ordered our appetizer of calamari which was decant. My sister ordered the margarita pizza and myself ordered the burger. We waited almost an entire hour for our meals. Mind you, everyone else that had sat down way later after us were finished with their meals and ready to pay as we were just getting ours. I am very patient but I couldn’t believe how long it was. The worst part was no one acknowledged how long we were waiting, not even our server. I eventually asked a bus boy if he could go ask someone about our food. Our food finally came, our server never once apologized about how long we waited. I honestly expected the manager to come visit our table or comp something off the check(as that was what our restaurant would normally do) but she dropped off the check(15 mins after asking) and it was the full bill. I NEVER send things back or ask for something to be taken off but I was that upset, so I told our server we had waited literally 50 minutes for our food and was very understanding but felt like it should be acknowledged somehow. She got offended and was very nonchalant, returned with our appetizer taken off. 2. I gave this place another shot and my friend and I decided to grab a drink at the bar, all the bar seats were taken but I decided to wait at the bar and order. I was waiting there for a good 10 mins and the bartenders still had not acknowledged us. I decided to go stand and wait at the other side of the bar where their register was so they would notice me. 5 minutes and still nothing. They were socializing with other bar guests whom were actually giving us dirty looks. I honestly felt unwelcome and got the impression that if you are not a regular, you aren’t important. We actually ended up walking out and went elsewhere for a drink because I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable Positive aspects: 1. margarita pizza was really good 2. Sweet potato fries are delicious 3. Very unique and tasty drinks This place could be wonderful if they stepped up their game, but unfortunately after two horrible experiences I will not be returning…

Great food and atmosphere ! Little pricey but 100% worth it. Green monster pizza to start was delicious. Followed by the chicken Milanese which was to die for the perfect bite of juicy chicken with an insane crunchy crust. My table also got the steak dish and tomato bisque. We will definitely be returning !

Service was slow and food was average. We ordered buffalo fried cauliflower, fried calamari, and chicken wings. Everything was greasy. The taste was ok, but nothing memorable. We sat outside. The server took a while to come greet us, and a while to bring our drinks(it was not too busy!) The food came out fast. We waited a littler over 30 min for the server to bring our check, and another 15 min for her to bring it back after we paid.

Fusion is just what its name proposes: a fusion of comfort and International styles in a modern accessible setting. The menu includes dishes like Chicken and Waffles — Pumpkin, Butternut Squash, and Cranberry compote topped waffles. Fish is a focus, a daily special always available beside a Tuna Burger and the rotating tacos which on this occasion included Blackened Tuna. Looking for a Burger? Besides the Tuna Burger I enjoyed topped with a fresh ginger cabbage slaw and Wasabi ginger aioli there is a Lab burger and the famed Crunch Burger complete with Barbecue sauce and potato chips. Large plates include vegetarian pastas and Sirloin steaks but apps are as generous as they are beautiful and could easily make a meal of their own. Friendly waitstaff and a comfortable bar with great wine flights and rotating taps make Fuse a very competitive location in bustling Downtown Lowell.

We are new to the Boston area about 2 weeks and looking to explore. A visiting friend from Tallahassee is what enticed us to get out and about. We decided on a place about half way for each of us and Fuse Bistro got the votes. Downtown Lowell, which is not very exciting. Right away I was not impressed with the neighborhood and honestly it felt a little sketchy to me. The photos I’d seen of Fuse were very inviting but looks can be deceiving. What we got was a drab, boring, uninviting establishment, short on atmosphere and service. We arrived a little earlier than our friend and decided on some drinks. I discovered very early in the game that the server was going to be less than friendly. Not even a smile. Have you ever been to a comedy club and there’s some clod sitting in the front row who doesn’t even crack a smile, even though the comic is extremely funny. That’s this guy. Anyway, the wine selection was good and I decided on the house red which was actually a blend. It was very happy with my selection. The server had nothing to offer us in terms of recommendations and the beer menu was boring. Does anybody drink Bud or Miller anymore? Seriously. The food though presented nicely, wasn’t very appealing. I had a tuna steak ordered medium rare but what I actually got was a seared version, which I don’t have a problem with. It’s just the fact that I got something different than what I ordered and that’s kind of a faux pas in the restaurant world. It was served nicely with 4 ravioli and some asparagus spears but it was flavorless and unimaginative, swimming in a soupy broth on a plate. Now I know fish are swimmers but I don’t think they care when they’re dead. In the future if we’re ever in Lowell, we’ll be trying other things. My experience is not yours. Check it out for yourself and you might find yourself up there with all the other 4 and 5 stars.

I was visiting my brother who lives around the corner and was out bouncing around DT Lowell when we realized we should probably get some food in us before things got out of hand. We ordered beers at the bar to start and the bartender didn’t seem to excited to have us there. She also had no idea what to recommend for beers. Then when I tried to order, she told me she was out of that one… twice. We decided to grab a table and order some eats. The service was slow and again, our server seemed non-enthusiastic about our presence. My friend ordered the short ribs which were decent but way overpriced for what it was. My brother and I shared a margarita pizza which was actually pretty good. We opted for a second shared app and I was about to order the meatballs when I asked the waiter if I’d be missing out on anything else. He swayed me into ordering the wings. Unfortunately they were downright awful. My brother and I both ate one and then left the rest of them behind. He never mentioned the fact that we obviously weren’t interested and did everything he could to shoo us out of there as soon as possible.

Best part of the meal was the dessert. It was good and tasty. Went with a few appetizers, but they were disappointing. The meal itself was okay, but far from exceptional, for the price this place is probably worth passing up, unless you are looking to stop in for dessert only.

When a location calls itself a «bistro», it evokes warm and welcoming, small and quaint, serving comforting dishes. Cold wintery temperature, and cold service. Dry food. «eh» wines. I think the locals love it — we didn’t. And when in town for business, we will not give it our business. Our server was so detached, aloof and unattentive, you just wanted to apologize for being there and asking for anything. The food was beyond lackluster — breading on the calamari and fried pickles was tasty. And the exceeding number of fried pickles were«ok» — better than the accompanying rubber calamari. The flatbread was ok — the cheese mix is definitely something that would appeal to college palates, and the chopped up tomatoes were grainy and tasteless(not their fault, this is not the peak time for this kind of produce). The MAJOR losers of the evening were the dry — desert dry — chicken and waffle. Black eye gravy was ok, but I just couldn’t get past the dryness of the waffle and the chicken. No butter or syrup for the waffle which meant LOTS of water to be able to get this down. Seared tuna fish tacos were just off putting. A phantom gourmet pick — I’m sure it may appeal to a younger crowd perhaps, but in this old lady’s book, sad service and sad food, made it a sad dining experience.

Consistency is what I like! This place is the heart of Lowell. Looking to go on a nice date in any season this is a cool place with a nice atmosphere. The people that work there are hip and friendly. Good service with outdoor seating. The food is great! My choice here are the sweet potatoes fries, the green salad is awesome, yum my mouth watered delicious dressing. The fish tacos not fried are the best in town!!! Will go again. Tried a nice local beer delicious.
