I love Vietnamese food and I must say they have vastly improved on their Phở Dac Biet. I had it recently and it was much better. They hold deals on 50c eggrolls/crabrangoon/chickenfingers/chickenwings randomly and they’re pretty good. I especially love their spicy wings and crab rangoon. Their bubble teas are good as well as their café sua da(coffee w/condensed milk).

I used to go to a Vietnamese restaurant in western mass and was really wanting the chicken noodle soup that I remember being so delicious… and this place didnt disappoint, in fact it was five times better. I got take out but I agree the atmosphere is kinda weird, but that won’t stop me from coming back. Very impressed an looking forward to trying other things there this summer!

My favorite Lowell Vietnamese. The slightly odd atmosphere(is it a club? is it a bar? why so many TVs?) only contributes to the experience. Let’s just say it’s very Lowell. The food is beyond compare – huge menu, and everything we’ve ordered has been great. The usual suspects are top-notch: I love the phở and the summer rolls, and my boyfriend loves the loc luc. When the bubble tea is in stock, it’s quite good. But probably the best surprise was the chicken with black bean sauce from the Chinese section of the menu. It seemed to be flavored with fish sauce in addition to the usual fermented black bean paste, and it had cilantro sprinkled on top. A delicious blend of two cuisines and cultures.

I don’t hate it and I don’t dislike it. I guess I’m indifferent to the food. Although, this is a great place for groups and there is a full bar. Pros: Calamari Any noodle dish Buns I haven’t had the Phở– so I can’t comment on it Parking Friendly staff(although– if there is a large crowd– they don’t have enough waiters to support it) Cons: Fried Spring Rolls(Way too much meat and no noodles) Summer Spring Rolls(Shrimp and Pork together is not my fav. combination and the tofu is not grilled, but from a packet of fried tofu-dislike). I also can’t give them 4 stars because they didn’t give us peanut sauce with the spring rolls. How can you be out of peanut sauce? All and all, everything is fresh and I know it’s clean and made daily. This is all I really ask from an Asian rest. in Lowell.- seriously.

Peter is a magician behind the bar, creating imaginative cocktails on a whim. But the food is the real star here. The phở rivals any in the area and the chow foon is on another level. Five stars all around.

So, over the last 2 years approx, I’ve become a fan of Phở. And it’s not pronounced Fo with an O… as in: «Dude, fo sho.» «I’m fo years old.» It’s pronounced like this: …well, at least I think that’s right, the recording sounds more like he’s asking you. Anyway, this place has come quite a long way. My buddies and I used to call it ‘Phở So Scary’, as at one point, it looked like a typical bar with no windows… more a local dive kinda hang out. We went in, however, as we wanted to try this 3rd Vietnamese Rest within, literally, a 1 – 2 mile radius. While the inside wasn’t that much more warm and/or friendly, we were actually quite impressed with the food. Well, since that time, the place has been re-modeled…and by a family that is obviously taking great pride and investment in their establishment. The Spring Rolls are easily tops in the area. I prefer the ones with veggies, rice noodles and tofu… but you can certainly get meaty insides, like shrimp or pork. They have Siracha… and the typical peanut sauce… of which I love both on the rolls. They’re made fresh to order and are top notch. The Phở itself isn’t «quite» the best in the area, IMHO, but it’s still very good. The broth is a bit sweeter than other Phở’s I’ve tried, but I don’t mind it too much. The closer to the bottom of the bowl you get, the sweeter. I’ve tried the meat variations… and the meat is just a tad bit gamy, but not the gamiest I’ve tried. They also have a cold noodle dish… with some marinated beef that is killer. The staff is great… and have always been good to us… and all of their faithful patrons. The building is more pleasant… having some nice open windows on the walls… two large screen tv’s…a full size bar… even a dance floor in the middle of the room. They’re known to have brought in some musical entertainment and have karaōke… So…on a scale of 1 — 10, I’d say this place was a 9. On Unilocal’s smaller scale, I kept it at 5, as it’s really closer to 5 than it is 4. I am a fan… and I think you will be too… come down and grab a warm bowl of Phở… while the weather is still chilly… and side it up with their magnificent spring rolls! You won’t regret it.

Hands down, the best Tofu spring rolls in the Lowell area! The food here is fresh and tastes like it’s truly homemade. In my opinion, all of the food seems to be made to order, including the peanut sauce. If I could be redundant for a moment, the tofu spring rolls are THEBEST in the Lowell area by far. The rice wrap is moist, not dry like most places. The Phở is a bit sweeter than Phở 88 or Phở Da Lat, both of which are right around the corner. We have gotten friendly with the staff and it was explained to us that it’s a family recipe that has been modified to cook in Bulk. The noodle with marinated, BBQ beef, is also very delicious. I can’t remember the name but I think it’s #35 or #36 on the menu. The staff is awesome and seem to enjoy building relationships with their customers. They do a good job taking care of their customers and provide great service. When they first opened the building looked like a dive. They have invested quite a bit of money into modifying the dwelling into looking like a restaurant. They’ve put in extra windows to add some natural sun light, moved the door to face the road. Added some window treatments and some fresh paint. It looks so much better now than it did when they first opened. If you have a chance, check them out.

This place is great. The Tofu Gi Cun(Tofu Spring Rolls) are always made fresh, the wraps are soft, the rice noodles are usually still warm, and the bean sprouts have a fresh snap when you bit into them. I have also had the Phở and the Bun, both are delicious and which is paramount for me CONSISTENT. I hate when I go to restaurants I get a great bowl of Phở one day and the next time I show up it is so-so.
