Good is great but the service is absolutely terrible. The wait staff is understaffed. The owners are slave drivers. Cheap as can be and have no clue what customer service is about.

Good soups if you get them when they open up and not later in the day. The staff is always very polite. I will go back.

Came here for hot pot because our group was looking for a local hot pot place and were not up for driving into Boston. First off, we had to push our table back ourselves in order to plug in the table for use with the hot pot. Secondly, after looking at the prices for the different options we were severely let down. The portions were extremely tiny and that would be generous to say that. An order of quail eggs came out with five eggs on a very barren looking plate. For our soup base we got a half and half order of Tom Yum and Beef broth. The Tom Yum flavor tasted like it was a mixture of water and instant Tom Yum paste. The beef broth looked and tasted literally as if they took it from their phở broth. After getting through our meal in silence and depression we were running low on soup for our hot pot. When asking for more liquid we were advised there would be an additional fee for the minuscule amount of liquid the restaurant initially provided. To add to my already low view of the restaurant, I can say without a doubt that I will NEVER be eating hot pot here or referring anyone to this restaurant again.

Ordered the crab Rangoon and the general chicken. Crab Rangoon was alright enough, but the general chicken was extremely tough and chewy– rather, the breading was, which is so many levels of wrong. The waiter was very nice but overall I wasn’t a fan and probably won’t be back.

Food is OK, if you are actually served the correct dish/proper amount. Service on the other hand is terrible. I understand that different cultures have different ways of doing things, but i’m pretty sure being polite is a universal thing. I have been to this establishment, many times, and almost always regret it after. They are open later than Phở 88, so sometimes it’s the only option for some phở after working a late shift. I go back every once in a while to see if maybe it’s changed, but sadly still the same. Take out is a definite no for me, the two times, I have tried I have gotten home and my food is ice cold and taste old, and i only live 4 minutes down the road.

Got take out this past weekend, food is horrible, general gaus chicken is just chickenfingers with a bottled sauce added to it,. Beef teriaki sticks is just a very low quality of beef, very cheap quality. Everything in this restaurant is not made frsh at all.

Don’t be fooled this place closes at twelve and the hostess is as rude as they come. Apparently it doesn’t matter that it says they’re open til 1230 on Unilocal and their personal website

I have gone to the Phở Da Lat in Lowell multiple times. I came to this one thinking it was a different Vietnamese restaurant and quickly realized it was another branch. I had order what I thought was Phở Soup and realized it was just egg noodles and veggies. When the waitress finally brought it over, 20 minutes later, i said I dont think I ordered this. and she said«uhh yeah» and I went on to explain I wanted the soup with the egg noodles and asked if i could just change the order. she said«No it’s already made» and repeated this multiple times. I said I wasn’t going to pay for it if I’m not even going to eat it. She then said she needed to talk to her manager, who she called. I waited for 10 minutes and ended up just leaving. If it is really THAT big of a deal that they can’t have one mistake meal in exchange for something a customer wanted then it wasn’t worth the fuss and I just drove to the one in Lowell. Even though this location is much nicer than the one in Lowell, it had way worse customer service.

The food is always delicious. The service is hit or miss depending on which member of the staff you get. Sometimes we are waited on hand and foot, other times we struggle to flag someone down. All in all, the food keeps us coming back. The phở of all varieties is delicious.

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time tonight. I absolutely love the décor, service was awesome! Our waiter was so nice and humble, it was actually heart warming. The same can also be said for the other staff. As for the food, it is very generic. It taste the same as any other phở places. I do like this place more than phở 88 down the street because the server are much more welcoming than that of phở 88 and parking is definitely better also. Would definitely visit again!

While I think the phở isn’t as good as Phở 88 down the street(and the waitresses not as pretty LOL), I do like the food here. I think the menu is bigger than 88’s and also they put more vegetables in things like noodle dishes, which I like. I would say the prices are reasonable and the décor is nice. So for me, if I want phở I go to 88. If I want some other Vietnamese food, I come here.

We were looking for hotpot and very pleased to find one so close to home! It was lunch time and place was very slow but we had a great time. So i cant comment on the long wait times. We enjoyed the tum yum but the spices could have been better. There crab Rangoon was delish!!!

Came for hot pot and it wasn’t good at all!!! Small portions and it’s pricey. Also their broth was horrible… Tom yum was too sour and the Mongolian spice was sour when it shouldn’t be in the first place. We also got a side order of of sirloin rib and it only came with 4 slices… Def was not worth it at all!

Very slow service… served the wrong style rice. By the time the server returned we got stuck eating food that wasn’t really that good… starved and on our lunch break! Bartender did credit our bill… would have rather paid for a decent meal rather than eating something that wasn’t what we ordered. Food and service was terrible …to top it off the place barely had any customers… seemed short staffed.

As a new comer to the neighborhood, I’ve been searching for the perfect phở. This location is far from the best and like Unilocal says, meh, I’ve experienced way better! The portions were way too small even though I ordered the large. As any phở fan knows, the soup makes or breaks the experience. Their soup was too salty and didn’t have enough flavor. The Middlesex Street location is so much better on all accounts!

Do they charge you extra to breathe? The customer service here is really bad. I have ate at the restaurant and I have ordered for pick up. When dining in I just ask for some garlic oil(that is usually complimentary) extra charge, can I have some more line seeing that we are a family of 6… extra… More bean sprouts since we are a family of 6… extra charge … And they give u an attitude. One a they don’t tell u about the extra charge until u pay. I have no problem paying for it as long as I am aware. The seafood phở is not great but their number 15 is good! Although I feel like it’s a little greasy. Ordering for pick up, takes forever too, but when u get there they don’t tellu they probably haven’t made it because I don’t know why it’s taking so long. And if u ask for any condiments which u should already have extra charge again. This location is their newest one and although it is pretty inside and the bar seems cool, they need to work on a lot of things.

The avocado shake was ok, boba was sweet and chewy at least. However, I didn’t enjoy the Bun Bo Hue, it was bland so I added satay(house spicy sauce) and eventually all i tasted was the satay. It’s my own fault but I wish the soup had more flavor to begin with.

I need a few more trips here before I can accurately assess this restaurant. Right now it’s a 3 based mostly on the food being good but not great. Seems like suburban Viet restaurants in New England go a little lighter on the seasonings, especially the fish sauce, to keep the locals happy. Too bad. Décor very pleasant, seating comfortable, service very good. Typical Viet menu, with a few cheesy Chinese/Thai dishes thrown in for the amateurs. Crispy noodles good, but served tepid instead of hot, which dulls them. Veggies good. Phở Ga(chicken noodle soup) decent with clean broth. Plenty of moist chicken, ok noodles, nice garnishes. Rice dishes seen pretty decent. Only one clear loser: spring rolls COMPLETELY lacking in flavor. No mint? No cilantro? No carrots? Nothing except flavorless Vermicelli, dull lettuce and boiled shrimp? Don’t believe me? Look at the attached picture: white on white. Yes, the accompanying peanut sauce was very good, but it’s supposed to complement the rolls, not rescue them from blandness. There has to be something inside the roll giving it texture and flavor! We’ll give them another chance, because comfortable surroundings and good service DO count for something. But would it kill them to buy a bunch of mint?
