I used to love the food here, but the quality of food has gone way down. Please think twice before going here.

So good. The vegetable pakora is amazing. The spinach/paneer over rice is delicious as well. Wonderful service.

We love it here! My husband and I have eaten in many Indian restaurants and this is by far our favorite. The buffet is fantastic. We love that every time we go the selection is different. They always have a nice range of options which include some spicy and some not so spicy. With all the choices on the buffet, they still lovingly insist on personally serving you dosas hot off the griddle. They seem disappointed if you opt to share one with your dining partner. The staff all treat us like we’re their favorite family members and they treat everyone like that. They all have the right balance of attentiveness without hovering. They want to be sure you’re happy. As a vegan I wish they would have at least one vegan dessert but hey, you can’t have everything. Indians love dairy desserts. One more thing… you can’t help noticing the large number of Indian patrons. A sure sign the food is authentically delicious.

Relatively Ok Indian food for the Boston area. Well priced. Not very clean. The staff though is great.

Absolutely delicious vegetarian food that also satisfied my boyfriend, the kind of dude who usually goes for a rare rib eye. Lovely owners and servers.

They continue to amaze me with their great quality and customer service. They have an awesome buffet selection. I’ve also ordered catering services 3 times and they have met my expectation every single time.

Great food and great atmosphere. Friendly service. Good prices. Only thing is that this place is tucked away in a strip mall behind Jiffy Lube and if you weren’t looking for it you’d never know it’s there. Definitely going back!
Wow… wow…wow. Did I say I like this place? If not… wow. I don’t usually go for buffet or for vegetarian but the choices for Indian in Lowell are not that great. Unilocal led me here with the pictures of Dosa so I knew it was South Indian and exactly what I wanted… almost. Not realizing it was vegetarian only and a buffet as I came through the door, the wonderful smell of the food convinced me to stay as soon as I realized, and I am glad I did stay. The food is amazingly fresh and spiced to perfection. Biryani, Dal and Onion Roti were my favorites off the buffet. As we ate the servers were attentive and brought plain Dosa, Dosa Masala(potato) and Spicy Dosas. All were excellent. We left feeling refreshed and with my wallet not much lighter. This place is well worth your time and your money to enjoy for a quick bike or an extended chow down. A+ to my new friends at Udupi Bhavan.

Was here several years ago when I was on my way to a nearby store, and the food was okay. I’d have to go out of my way to go back, but with so many other Indian restaurants closer to work, home, and other places I frequent, there’s no compelling reason for me to make the trip. However, if I’m in the area again I would definitely stop in.

There was a large event at my aunt’s housewarming in Westford, and we had both breakfast and lunch brought in from this restaurant. For such large quantities of food, the quality was pretty good. The idlis were soft and well done and the vegetarian curries and dal were good.

Real deal southern Indian tucked away in the northern MA hinterland. Excellent vegetarian dishes with an unapologetic level of spice. Good dosai and paratha, too. Have patience, as this isn’t a place to go in a hurry. The food’s worth it.

Udupi Bhavan is phenomenal, even though I can’t pronounce the name. The food is great, and if you’ve never tried Indian food, it’s a great place to start. I have to say the staff are always super friendly and attentive. I had no idea what I was doing at the buffet, so they walked me through how to make the different dishes. They even brought them to our table for us, since we didn’t know what to do. You can’t beat service that good! There aren’t really any cons about this place. Parking is tight, but not impossible. It’s a small place, so if you come in a busy time you’ll have to wait a little while. They also don’t take reservations. AND, you can BYOB. Love this place

Food is great, Service very pleasant. I am a regular at this resturant. I normally don’t like to go to buffet at other resturant, but buffet over here is very good. Place is little small for their popularity, specially on Sunday dinner Buffet. My favorite here is Shahi paneer, Maysuri Dosa with Sambar. I can never get tired of their food and service.

Don’t get excited looking at the name. Nothing here screams uduppi Karnataka! It’s a regular South Indian restaurant. We were too excited hoping for the sagar days in Bangalore but disappointed a bit, the sambar wasn’t the same sweet sambar. Everything was spicy, mind me, I like spicy stuff but this was a little over burning in my stomach. They add baking soda in idly or dosa, I had a stomach discomfort, acid burn. Chat was well done. Presentation could have been better. Not a pricey restaurant. Dosa was nowhere near Mysore dosa, it was prepared with regular South Indian batter. Overall, don’t expect much.

My mother has been raving about this place for quite some time, so when I returned home from living overseas, we decided to pop in here for lunch and I wasn’t disappointed. They are a vegetarian place, but I have found that Indian food, if done well, leaves me satisfied even without meat. The buffet was reasonably priced and had a good spread, with several different curries and dals, they also always have sambar and rasam. Everything I tried was really yummy and plenty spicy. They also have complimentary dosas, which were delicious. The staff was really polite and attentive. Several people who I can only assume are regulars came in, and the staff was really friendly with them. The one down side is that during busy times(when I went the place was packed) more popular items, like the samosas and pakoras, go very quickly and aren’t refilled as promptly as I would like.
