Great food and fantastic service! Shawn Stephens has really done it right with his barbecue and sides!!! Corrie Hosch runs the front like a champ! I’ll be be back with more friends and use you again to cater another work luncheon very soon!

I spend a lot of time checking out family owned local joints and found this Lubbock gem in a quiet shopping center close to the hotels. It’s a new restaurant (3 months old) and from the sign in the window should have a beer and wine permit soon. The staff is great; attentive, friendly and make you feel like you belong. I ordered the 2 meat plate (sliced brisket & pulled pork) with a couple of sides. I’m big on sides and enjoy places that make their own. Well they make it all and do a great job. I had coleslaw and pinto beans; the beans were some of the best I’ve had, packed with flavor and little bits of special meat treats. The brisket was lean, tender and moist and didn’t need any sauce, nice lightly smoked flavor. The pork was also moist and touched with just enough sauce to bring out the sweetness. They have a BBQ sauce on the side that is so good you need to hit it just because it’s there. Great place, good feel, and a future. Check it out!

Had to come see if this place lived up to the 5 star rating and it did. I had to come back a second time just to make sure it really lived up to 5 stars. Both times the food was fantastic, I will be back more and more. To top it all off the wait staff is super friendly and very eager to please. Both times I had the owner come over and check on me to make sure the food was perfect. Try the 3 meat plate!

This place is great, I went for lunch the other day and it really was 5 out of 5 stars. First of all, they have the greatest drink on the planet, blue powerade. Every meal goes well with blue powerade. I got the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich and it was great. The bread was toasted perfectly, good cheese, and great meat. The fries are a great side as well. Perfect amount of food and it was around $ 10. I love this place.

This was my first time here and it was amazing. The brisket was thick and tender. Great beans and cornbread. Service was excellent and attentive. This is my new favorite BBQ joint in Lubbock!!!

We were treated to a very special lunch today by the owner Shawn Stephens and the food was fantastic! We were surprised with Brisket cheese fries, brisket tacos, brisket sandwich, beans and potato salad as well as brisket wraps! The food was delicious! Great place to eat some wonderful BBQ!

It has a nice, homey atmosphere. I was just about to order the ribs, and they ran out of it. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was thickly sliced, tender, and mildly spicy, even without any sauce. There was a nice rim of flavorful fat. Pulled pork was a little smoky, flavorful. One side was fried corn cobbette, which was corn on the cob, breaded, and deep fried. It had a nice crust, and the corn tasted just like regular corn on the cob, wasn’t oily. Potato salad was average. Corn bread muffin was excellent. Good place for barbecue.

Amazing BBQ at a very reasonable price! Great customer service by not only the wait staff, but the owner as well! They go above and beyond to make your experience great! Fried Mac N Cheese is awesome! My personal fav is the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese! Chopped and Sliced is by far my favorite BBQ joint in Lubbock!

Wow! What a pleasant experience. My wife had an excellent CFS that was breaded here and prepared perfectly. I had the brisket and pulled pork. The pork was great but the brisket was OUTSTANDING. The fried mac and cheese was interesting. We will be back!!!

This is a hidden gem in Lubbock. Located in mission plaza shopping center. Locally owned restaurant with fantastic barbecue! I had the fried bologna sandwich which was great. My wife had the 2 meat Bbq with jalapeño sausage and sliced brisket that was cooked perfect. The sides were really good and they make their own BBQ sauce which had a hint of sweetness and bold flavor! If you are looking for some good BBQ in Lubbock then this is a great place to go.
The service was also good. Corrie took great care of us and never let our drinks get less than half way. Overall this was a great experience!
Also get there early for lunch because they fill up fast. We didn’t get to try dessert because we were full. But there is always next time!
