Usual Courtyard set up(which is good in my opinion.) Staff was courteous and friendly. Room was spotless. Heat in room worked and not noisy. I stay at Courtyard per my company’s travel guidelines. My only wish was that they offered complimentary coffee like their lower prices super chain sister properties. Yes, I know they have the setup with SB. I’m just not a fan. That being said… good hotel and great staff.

to start this review — it was Thanksgiving evening and my girlfriend and I have been traveling for the past few months. We were sad to be spending a holiday away from home and arrived at the Marriott tired and hungry. When we got inside, the clerk let us know that they were having a complimentary thanksgiving dinner. Even though we arrived late, a woman fixed us plates and was so, so nice … For two younger people spending a family holiday away from home, it was unexpected and comforting to be treated like an extension of someone else’s family. That’s how the staff treated us for the duration of our stay — they were extremely accommodating, so kind, and very helpful. That alone made us 5 star this hotel. As far as the rooms go, we’re huge Marriott fans and this room met our expectations 100%. The rooms were comfortable, we could easily adjust the temperature, the bathrooms were spacious — everything that we’ve come to love about staying in these hotels. There was also an indoor pool area that looked awesome. We only stayed for the one night, so didn’t get a chance to explore — but we would’ve if we had more time! We also liked the area — there’s an Applebee’s next door(so of course we got a Thanksgiving cocktail to celebrate!) and the parking lot is safe and well-lit. Recommended for families and couples, alike!

I am currently staying in this hotel and I’m checking out just as soon as my wife is ready to go because this place is bad. Really, really bad. It probably offers the worst value of any hotel I’ve stayed at in recent memory. –It’s like trying to sleep inside of a drum. It seems like everyone is stomping in the hall on the floor above me. And it’s not a faint sound. It’s a constant barrage of loud, percussive booms. –We noticed that the refrigerator did not work when we first arrived. Someone came and looked at it, said that it would have to be switched out, and then never returned. –The air conditioning is set at 65 degrees but the air temperature in the room is 81. It clicks on and off noisily, blowing air to no apparent effect. We reported the problem. No one came to look at it. –The pipes in the wall clanged when the people in the room above us showered. It sounded like a ghost knocking on the wall. –When we asked to change rooms at 11am, the woman at the desk said that she wouldn’t know until that afternoon and that she’d call if anything were available. That call never came. When we returned to the hotel that evening, the person at the desk said that there were definitely rooms available to switch to at 11am and that the woman would have had this information at that hour, but it was late by then and there was nothing that he could do. –The first batch of towels we received were stained. –I’m not certain that the room was ever cleaned in the morning. The towels were picked up off the floor and we got more fixings for the coffee maker, but there were still dirty glasses and the iron was left out, and our towels were never replaced. –And to finish it all off, the breakfast is both expensive and mediocre. To sum it all up, this place is terrible. It’s in a strip of hotels so it will be incredibly easy for you to find somewhere, anywhere else to stay. You’d probably be better off just sleeping in your car.

Great location, wonderful staff and clean comfortable room. Staff friendly and are very attentive, makes note of any special occasion to where when I checked out it continued. I happened to be the«guest of the day» which was a great surprise with a bag of goodies containing cookies, chips, nuts, water a card with a free drink from the bistro and 500 extra bonus points towards my rewards account.

Felt right at home at this location. Staff was nice and attentive. Amenities were very modern. Located right by a huge Walmart for picking up snacks. Lots of dining options in walking distance. Everything in Texas is bigger.

Solid hotel. Desk staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are comfortable. Furnishings are updated. In-wall A/C and heating is noisy, but there you go. What sets this Courtyard apart is the outstanding staff in the Bistro! They are service minded and friendly — and they remember your order from the previous day. Really a pleasant surprise.

Hello, courtyard Marriott are not as nice as you would like them … Personally I would rather stay at a 4 seasons which is actually a 4 star… I wish they had better food there …

Considering this Hotel is in Lubbock, TX. IT’S GREAT!!! A very standard Marriott Courtyard. Nice Staff — accomodating, and friendly. Has the bistro with breakfast items in the morning and appetizer/dinner items in the evening. The bistro also becomes a bar in the afternoon/evening with beer/wine/cocktails. The beds and rooms are standard Courtyard Marriott fare. My only real complaint is with the starbucks coffee in the mornings at the bistro. I’m still trying to decide if the Bold blend(verona) was actually starbucks? I had the bold blend both mornings of my stay and it was weaker than starbucks regular blends. Someone should probably just teach them that starbucks bold roasts are REALLYBOLD, and we like it that way! A solid choice when staying in Lubbock. Mostly business and Oil/Gas people. I’m sure I will stay here again on my next trip to Lubbock.

I’ve been staying at this courtyard for eight years and always come back. They recently renovated so many of the amenities are new and the work out room has good equipment. The rooms are quiet and the staff is friendly!

Not a bad place. Overall I would say 3.5 stars. The hotel is small but they have the usual courtyard amenities. The location is very good though and if you’re traveling without a car, there are several decent restaurants in the parking lot, which is a nice bonus.

This is a very nice Courtyard, obviously recently remodeled to be a shining example of the new, modern, Bistro-themed Courtyards. Sleek but comfortable lobby with the big touch-screen info center, cozy booths for meeting with coworkers, lobby bar for cocktails. Lobby coffee was ready by the time I left for the airport at 4am. The beds are luxuriously comfortable and the rooms are on the fancy side. Balcony is a plus, as are a proper coffeepot and glassware/mugs. I would give this one five stars if the room had a fridge to keep the beer cold.

I am very disappointed with this hotel. To be fair, they are renovating, but seriously, let people know, right? The entire lobby and breakfast area is torn apart. I get into my room and it is so cold, you could store a side of beef. So I open the patio door and turn on the heater. Within 30 seconds, the room is filled with smoke and the fire alarm is going off. The maintenance man is nice, offers to ozone the room for me if I don’t mind going elsewhere for 30 minutes. Where am I going to go, the torn up lobby ??? Not off to a great start. Lets hope the continental breakfast is decent.
