Really good breakfast and LOVE the French toast. It had great customer service. It’s cozy. And just really good. The orange juice is really fresh tasting g and the price is just right. If you’re looking for a delicious home cooked breakfast try this place

This place is great. I had the Mexican omelette. Grilled to perfection and slightly crispy on the edges.
Great hash browns. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. We’ll be back and try the dinner menu next time we are back in Lubbock.

We stopped in Lubbock on the way home from our New Mexico vacation. We were looking for good food in a non-​chain restaurant. Based on the good reviews we picked George’s Café. It delivered. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our drinks were never empty. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken. It was the perfect portion size. Everything tastes homemade. My hubby had George’s Famous Club sandwich. He says it was good. My daughter had the Meat Omelet and ate the whole thing! It was an adult portion and she’s 8! My son had grilled cheese (typical) and was happy. I’m glad we discovered this restaurant. It we great after an afternoon of driving.

Stop by this little breakfast shop around 9 and it wasn’t that packed. Got seated right away. Service was very nice and welcoming. For the food, I did not like the chicken and waffle that I had gotten. It tasted bland and the gravy was just alright. The fresh orange juice and the hash browns were the only things I liked. But for the price you can’t really complain!

We are passing thru from california and stopped at George’s café after 8pm. There was an assortment of customers but when I see senior citizens (we are almost there) and police officers eating there u figure it must be good. We wanted some home style food and we got it. I had the chicken fried steak with onion rings and my wife had pork chop with fried okra. The manager came over to the table and talked with us for 20 min about the area, her recent home purchase all very interesting to me. The whole crew was friendly and he food was delicious.

Pretty good food especially for the price, but the service was pretty slow for lunch on a Saturday. If you go there don’t expect to get in and out quickly. But the price made up for it mostly. $ 20 for three people is pretty good in my opinion. And, they have good hot sauce.

Yum! This was a great breakfast. We loved it. The service was good despite being packed. They are not use to being so busy so the downside was that we had to wait a long time for our food but once we did get it; it was DELICIOUS! We are not from Lubbock but we will be back the next time that we are in Lubbock.

This place is pretty awesome. Just went and got some chicken fried steak that was great for the price I paid (6.99 lunch special). It’s got 3 HD TV that were playing football which is why we decided to stay and eat there. They do however have a drive through, but it takes about 5 – 10 minutes to get your food so we just sat down to eat. They serve a lot of «American» food and breakfast all day. Fast service and smiles on there face. Strongly recommend checking this place out.
