The owner of the store quoted me $ 220 just to dye my hair darker. Are you kidding ?? Got it done elsewhere for $ 60. Disappointed I bought a groupon from here.

I walked in with very long hair and got Jodi. First time in but the reviews were good, and I had a Unilocal coupon. Asked for a trim because my boyfriend loves long hair and I was having a baby soon and wanted the option of pulling it all back if I needed to. And, I wanted a few layers. I usually go to Gene Juarez but didn’t want to deal with downtown traffic. An hour later, I walk out with quite short hair. At least 5 inches were taken off but we had agreed to 2. I’m also not crazy with the way it looks. Because my hair got cut so short, the layers aren’t separated well and my hair looks really poufy. It reminds me of The Rachel from Friends. Came home and my boyfriend hated it. Tried to pull it back and the face framing layers keep coming loose and getting into my eyes. Can’t wait till my haircut grows out. I’ll stick to Gene Juarez from now on, traffic be damned.

This salon is in the process of being fully certified by Aveda. Their products are awesome, their staff is incredible. Jody, the owner, has many years of experience and continues to love to learn new techniques and new products. Jeffrey is extremely talented with color, and Tricia is an excellent cutter. They’re all very friendly and lots of fun to get chatting with while being pampered. The products are all 100% money back guarantee, and they will show you how to use them successfully before you buy them. You do very much get excellent value for your money, but this is NOT some back alley salon! It’s a classy, clean, sophisticated place where a haircut with all the regular trimmings(shampoo, styling, product, etc) costs anywhere from $ 30 – 45, depending on who is serving you. Color treatment(full or partial foils, all over color) is a charge that is added to the haircut, and you receive nicely detailed receipts for everything that you purchase. The online concierge service is great for booking appointments and very convenient for reminders, it will automatically email you a day or two prior. They encourage booking your services ahead to ensure that you get your appointment time set aside for you, and they respect your time and value you as a customer.

I came in for a consultant, and the girl Anna said she could do my hair. She even did a test strip of bleach to see how my hair takes to it. Then we make an appointment for a week out. This is the kicker she calls me an HOUR before my appointment saying she will NOT be able to do my hair because she doesn’t know how to color it correctly. ANDSHEJUSTCANCELEDMYAPPOINTMENT! SMH
