Safeway

I usually shop at this store because it’s so close to home. Selection is not bad. Usually when I shop here I have a good experience, nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the staff have always been friendly, too. Lately, however, every time I go there are always stockers putting items on the shelf, especially in the dairy section. This last time I went, there was a stocker stocking the sandwich meat section and was not moving for anyone. Now I know it must be difficult for them to have to work around a bunch of customers, but we’re shopping. I decided not to get sandwich meat because I didn’t want to get in his way. Also, stay away from their hot cooked Chinese section. I’ve tried it numerous times and I’ve finally learned my lesson. I won’t be getting hot Chinese food from there anymore.

Self Check registers seem to be popular on this busy super bowl Sunday. It appears live employees are much too expensive and this store stays understaffed for even the peak shopping days!
Today I was reprimanded by an unhappy (angry) rude clerk that the line forms over there for self check.
It seems there is no specific area that is marked and I should know by osmosis where the «area» she was referring to and pointing toward was not occupied by any shoppers. If there is indeed an overflow or waiting area, why don’t they mark it so I don’t unintentionally cut in front of someone? Better yet add checkers to improve the service and clean up the shopping environment.
I have digressed to only shopping here for fill in or quick items over the last 6 years and note that my spending at this Safeway store has plummeted as it correlates with offering the worst service and employee attitude that retail business can deliver in this area. In a 4 mile circle there are 2 QFC stores, 2 Fred Meyers, 2 Walmarts, Albertsons and a Costco that I may add are all cleaner, safer and give superior friendly service over this location. Unfortunately for me, they are not quite as convenient for a quik trip on my way to or from my home.
i don’t think the Monopoly games offered by Safeway are a good substitute or even a fair trade off for smiling friendly service and clean stores!
Employees are frequently smoking and toss their tobacco butts as litter on the North end of the building area and parking lot, rather than using an ash tray or butt bucket, they trash their own employer’s store! Says much about their attitude towards the work environment!
You can look at my Unilocal ratings and see that I rarely give one star to even the worst business situation however if I could give a lower rating than one star to this Safeway,
I would!

Pretty clean usually but went there the other night and the produce section smelled terrible. Not sure why but it was unnerving. Prices are pretty average.

The Safeway on 99 in Lynnwood — technically in the unincorporated area — is not one of the better Safeways in the region, but its location makes it very convenient for the local neighborhood. They have a gas station with cheap gasoline and diesel, and they stock most of the same items found at other stores.
The smaller footprint of this store makes it more difficult to find some more specialty items, and it can be a little claustrophobic. With other options available in the area, it is hard to justify going out of your way, but this Safeway has the basics and good hours for those necessities.

My first time at this Safeway in the lynnwood location and I was NOT happy. I was on a time crunch for my lunch break and decided to go to the deli and it was terrible. The worker that was making my sandwich didn’t know what she was doing and made me run late going back to work. She was making snotty comments and rubbed me off the wrong way. she was also fighting with her Co worker in front of everyone kept my composure and tried to be respectful but never getting a deli sandwich there again, wasn’t even that good anyway.

Fantastic customer service. Suzette is amazing. She help me through everything with all I wanted which was a lot. She have the patience to help customers. Keep up the good work.

this is the worst grocery store I have ever been!
1. The produce and fresh meat are far way from fresh!!! That’s gross.
2. In term of price, standard box items cost 20% more than Fred Meyer and even cost more than QFC! Like the organic milk and 90% back chocolate and even diet coke!!!
3. The staff is really lack training! First, they are really slow in checking! Second, lack the basic knowledge of how things work! I used my discover credit card cash over function to save another trip to ATM for some pocket cash$ 60. when checking out, The cashier had to stop the line and call the manager to ask what to do since she never seen a credit card can get cash like normal debit card? Oh well, but could you please just follow the instructions on your computer? I never encountered such untrained cashier, even at Walmart knew to do.

I am here at Safeway 730 pm. Trying to get crab legs. Sign specifically says hours of operation 10 – 8. No one is at the counter and it is closed super angry will go to Fred Meyers from now on

I suppose I would give most stores like Safeway 3 stars anyway. This place is better to shop at at night, I think, depending on what you want. I like the prices on meats, and the sales-​they seem like they are decent quality, nothing particularly special, but decent. The produce here is so-​so. I wouldn’t buy fruit here. This is a place to get goodies/​sweets, general stuff (hygene, cereal, milk, eggs, bread, nuts, generic cheeses, etc.), juice, a bit of vegetables (they do have a small organic section), and the steak here and there (they have organic chicken and a good selection of grass fed beef, etc.). This is NOT the place to buy fruit, and REALLY high end meats, fish, etc. I did like the service here in the evening. Pavel was outstanding, a VERY good cashier, extremely professional, and a nice guy. Folks, trust me. Look for Pavel here (in the evening), and you’ll be set. :)

This store is pretty decent As far as locations go. It is away from other retailers for the most part, so this is the only store around where you can do grocery shopping within a mile or two.
The store is kept clean for the most part and this location has a center-​store produce section that splits the store in half. The layout can be confusing unless you’ve been to this store before. The store is not evenly lit so it makes some departments look really bright and some really dark.
Overall, however, this is a nice looking store. As for personnel this store has some employees who are gems and others who make life miserable for others. Not going to name any names.
Decent sale prices and the selection is pretty standard as far as large stores go. The deli gets busy at lunch time, so the quality must be pretty good as there are some food joints around and people choose to come here for lunch.

There is a cashier at this store named cody who, has a terrible attitude is lazy and despite saying he has 33 years of customer service, has none whatsoever. He was very disrespectful to my wife and because he was to lazy to go get an item I requested, I went to get it myself and when I came back he was yelling at my wife telling her to get out of line. This is the first time we have ever been so disrespected, maybe you hate women cause your not one, but you need to leave your attitude at home and treat people with respect and courtesy. You suck CODY AND I hope you get your A@@ FIRED! Safeway DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIRE THIS IDIOT!

A pretty average Safeway. It’s a bit smaller than most of the newer ones but they do have a gas station. The parking lot is ample. The produce is good for the most part but the selection of grocery items in general is not that of the larger stores.

Safeway PHARMACY REVIEW ONLY:
I had just come out of surgery, was in a lot of pain and just wanted to get my pain meds. The women who work behind the counter must not care about their job AT ALL. They have no idea how to greet customers and spoke to me in a flat, uncaring tone. After handing them my prescription I was told it would be 45 minutes.
45 minutes for 10 PAIN PILLS. That is absolutely ridiculous.
When I worked at a pharmacy, we ALWAYS put the pain meds ahead of any medications that weren’t immediately required. When people are in pain, you don’t make them wait.
If the pharmacy can work a little more efficiently and learn to be nicer to their customers, I may consider going back but for now — NO THANKS!

This is my regular grocery store. When it comes to products on the shelves, it’s a hit or miss. Sometimes they have things, sometimes they don’t. The stuff they carry isn’t very consistent. The produce is good quality which I find important. The meat section is ok. They often don’t have cuts or types of meat I need for recipes. The staff is always helpful though. The checkers are awesome and the butchers are helpful. The prices are reasonable and I love the just for u savings program.

This Safeway is fairly average. They have a pretty good selection, an alright (but not great) Starbucks, ample parking and even a gas station.
However, their gas is usually pricier than the Safeway that’s right up the street.
The previous review about the expired food is correct. I’ve purchased Gardein products from here that were TWO months past their expiration date. However, when I returned with the products the store was more than happy to issue a refund for the items. But, I don’t think it should have gotten to that point.

So Im usually a albertsons man, my condo was right next to one and I got used to the layout and sales for 3+ years, than we got a townhome close to this safeway,. So we have been going to this one for about a month now, still trying to get use to the safeway layout, prices are pretty good, just watch out for weekly sales as you would any other grocery store. They have self check out which Im a huge fan of.

I come here almost everyday to get my fruit. I am a big fan when it comes to fresh watermelon and strawberries and they tend to always have a good supply. The one thing that sucks about this place is that the grapes are never good. Sometimes I get luck but most of the time I don’t.
Great deals all the time and very close to my home so convenient!

I haven’t had an of the issues other folks have had. I agree with one of the previous reviews that Food Emporium, just down the road, is a vastly better market. However, FE is really pricey. So, I go to Safeway for anything standard that may be cheaper (detergents, dry goods, etc) and then leave the nicer stuff for FE. The one truly great deal here is the deli salads. They usually have them on sale for $ 3.99. I get a few for the hubby for lunch every week. It’s easier than me making his lunch and at a great price for the quality.

Went to the deli to get a sandwich… asked for mine to be on Sourdough. The woman behind the counter looked at me as if I was being rude and said…“I don’t have sourdough” Well, excuse me you crazy ass whackjob. I didn’t know that that shit was my fault. Anyways…
The grocery store is nicely updated. The checkers are quick and courteous. Unfortunately, the crazy deli lady needs to have a rubber band flicked at her forehead. Sorry safeway, but your deli lady needs to go.
