Dont eat here… I work for the hospital across the street and decided to give them a try. When i first walked in the girl at the counter had a bad attitude. But i ordered anyway didnt have time to go anywhere else & was tired of eating Subway. I ordered two tacos rice and beans. When the cook brought my food to the counter i noticed he had a HUGE open cut on his hand. So i asked do you where gloves. He said NO so i said well you have a fresh cut on your hand with no bandage or any gloves and your preparing food. He looked at me with the dumbest look. So i asked for a refund. They said NO. So then i asked to speak to the owner so they called her on the phone. She then told me to take the food and leave or she would call the sheriff. I left the food and they never gave me my refund. Worst restaurant ever.

Overpriced food. I work at the hospital across the street, and we came here for lunch. I decided to get two soft tacos and a drink. When i received the order, it was a rip off! The tacos were drenched in oil, very small tortilla, and a small spoonfull of meat. The meat was overheated so it had a dry crispy taste, and had lots of nerve /tendon? Not sure. The drink was $ 2.99! I paid close to $ 7.00 for the whole meal! My co worker and i were not happy. And next time will be going somewhere else. I told my department about this place. And they agreed.

Overprice food… Not so many food options the food is okay but it can be better! Plus they charge $ 1 fee when you pay with a debit card. Make sure you bring cash

So far I’ve tried about 4 of their dishes. Everything from their shrimp to their tacos have been delicious. The service is always pleasant. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to bring cash otherwise you will have to pay $ 1 more for debit/credit transactions. Also we always have to ask for more napkins bc they never have some on the table. But other than that prices are decent. Also I don’t think they have a changing table in their bathrooms.

Not too many great food options in the immediate area so this is a good place if you are looking for some decent Mexican food at a sit down restaurant. I stopped by for lunch with a few coworkers and was impressed that they had great lunch special offerings. I got myself 2 carne asada tacos with rice for like under $ 7. They taste alright… nothing special but it hit the spot since I was craving tacos. My other dining companions got this bacon wrapped shrimp thing and that was really good! — free chips and salsa(i think? I didn’t pay for this meal) — pretty extensive menu with Mexican/seafood offerings — not much for atmosphere — the food comes out fast! Parking: small lot in a strip mall

Bring cash or you will be charged $ 1 to use your card Because of the recent minimum wage increase, the prices of food have also risen :/the molcajete looked delicious esp for $ 14, but when I called it it is now $ 18. So I got the fish tacos– 3 for $ 7. It was really really good and the portions were big enough to fill my empty stomach up! So its freshly battered and fried and each bite into it unleashes a flaky soft goodness. They have a pink mayo-y sauce and also a spicy salsa that comes with it. I would suggest asking for lettuce instead of cabbage. After eating it, I could not stop thinking about ittttt. I want more!

Really good service, small family owned type feel to the restaurant. Very hidden but right next to a major road. The food was great and and give good servings.

I want to make my rating a 3.759. Is a nice little place that has simple yet good tasting mexican food. Homemade tortillas and food done traditionally. Is a typical place with the usual fare but never poorly done. Consistently well. I would also say the prices are very fair as well. Give it a chance.

glad i stopped by this place with only enough time to down two tasty tacos. based on Unilocal i visited this place. the power of Unilocal wins once again. i had 1 fish taco and one hard shell taco with shredded beef. the fish taco is one of the best. light and crispy battered. downfall is the small tortilla with limited toppings. the hard shell was very good and i will return here when back in the area.

This restaurant has the BEST Chiles Rellenos. I like coming here because it’s very cozy, great customer service. They have«tortillas hechas a mano» The best!!! Everything on the menu looks so good but for some reason I always end up ordering the Chiles Rellenos. Hehehe ;-) If you go, please try them. You will love them!

One of my favorite little Mexican restaurants. The service is always excellent. I love the chicken soup and recommend the homemade corn tortillas. So far everything I have ordered has been tasty. Just give them a try and you will keep coming back for more!

Quaint little Mexican joint. Agree with other reviewers, not the best but definitely not the worst. Their chilaquiles are decent as are their tostadas de ceviche de camaron. Micheladas are deliciously off the hook. Their portions are extremely reasonable especially when it comes to a dish like chiles rellenos(most non-seafood plates come with a hefty side order of rice and beans). Good stuff, three and a half stars.

the food is good… but not a good place to go if you are a non-mexican. the workers are pretty intolerant towards non mexicans.

The food’s not bad. Not the best, but easily not the worst. The food on the plate actually looks just like the picture, so feel confident when you order your food. The salsa is OK, but not great. What is really awesome about this place, however, is the happy hour and lunch menu. Combination plates are $ 5 and Margaritas(and Pina Coladas) are only $ 3! That is super cheap! Awesome value and pretty good service. Definitely will be going back, but I think I’ll order the soup next time.

This place’s food is very close to «homemade» Mexican food. I’ve been here on several occasions,(usually late Sunday morning/early afternoon) and have tried their chilaquiles(SP), beans, rice, tortas, huevos rancheros, you name it. It’s a small place but with an average sized seating area. This place is good for families, it’s pretty casual. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the apples! There’s a Mexican version of a candied apple that I fell in love with here. I’ll be honest, for about 4 weeks straight I’d buy an apple or two and take them home for later. It’s a huge granny smith apple covered with I think it’s chamoy(think candied chili/tamarind) and then sprinkled all over with dry chili powder. They’re covered with plastic or cellophane, or whatever apples are covered with, and on a stick. It’s different from your typical caramel apple, so if you like a little bit of spicy with sour and baby kick of sweet, try one of these apples. They’re by the check out stand. This place takes cash as well as debit/credit cards and there’s no transaction fee.

For starters — I have gout. This ailment prevents me from having any kind of shellfish. You might think, what the heck does this dude’s sickness have to do with a restaurant? Well, it does. No, I didn’t get gout from eating out. Ew, bad phrasing, but you know what I mean. Seafood is my favorite category of food. Like I tell my wife, «i’ll eat anything from the ocean except for diapers.» In that vast category of edibles, shellfish is ironically my favorite. Unfortunately the unbareable pain of gout prevents me from partaking in any indulgence of the oceanic kind. That being established, El Botanitas Restaurant serves a mean combination seafood cocktail which includes crab, shrimp, abalone, octopus, and much more. It is quite delicious. Here’s why: it actually tastes like seafood, not refrigerator coolant, lemon, or ketchup. If you’ve had a seafood cocktail which flavors include an obnoxious taste of any of the latter mentioned ingredients, then you’ve never had a seafood cocktail. Trust me, i’m fat. So, ask yourself this: would I eat just any old seafood cocktail if it brings me so much pain?
