Peaceful Valley was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue. The location is so beautiful, it’s easy to get there and there are accommodations in a range of prices, plus there is a ton for guests to do. Our wedding day was really perfect, Jeanne was always there and easy to get a hold of. The backdrop for the Mountaintop Site was incredible and they had just repainted the seats and planted some flowers. And we were able to go all night by moving the party into the cabins from the dance hall. Plus, we not only had a rain contingency in the chapel, but it’s a gorgeous one. We got the bronze meals for rehearsal and reception but the food was always delicious and there was plenty. I really appreciated how flexible they were with how to arrange liquor pricing. We did beer and wine free and cash cocktails and everyone seemed happy with that. The Hideaway Cabin was a romantic and comfortable place for us to stay four our wedding night! They were going through some major staffing changes while we were planning our wedding and I wonder if that was partly responsible for some poor communication and sometimes unclear answers to questions. Several of my guests said they had to call multiple times to make a reservation and that their calls didn’t get returned. They also charge a service fee on rooms, which doesn’t seem right. We had a great time and wouldn’t have done anything different!

My seventh year attending a retreat and it was just as awesome as ever. Food is great, staff is amazing! What a great place a room or a cozy cabin this is the place to go! Indoor pool, horseback riding, hiking trails and fly fishing! Unplug and head to Peaceful Valley… Memories are waiting to be made!

Super place for when you want to get away. We go up twice a year for scrapbooking.(OK, so it’s more of a Girl’s Weekend!) We’ve been coming up since 1998 and have brought our family and friends up. Great for families, groups, family reunions, weddings, etc. They have horseback riding, hiking, cross-country skiing, fishing, and so much more!

The staff and location could not have been more perfect for our wedding weekend. The ranch had that rustic CO feel we wanted but was still formal for such an event for the right price. The location provided great options for outings to RMNP and Estes Park as well as its own activities and views. Even the food was superb. The staff really works with you – they extended breakfast for us, added an impromptu keg to our welcome dinner Hoedown(our guest’s favorite!), and let us tweak our seating as we wanted. The staff also did a great job orchestrating our 120 guests and keeping us on schedule. The only thing that we wish we could have done is extend the reception dancing, but the Whistling Pines cabin has an outdoor fire out where we continued the after party. The best venue within 2 hours of Denver if you’re looking for a rustic ranch feel and want all of your guests to stay together!

We took a group to Peaceful Valley Ranch for a retreat for a couple of days. The area around the ranch is BEAUTIFUL, however, upon arriving, I had to ask for cleaning to happen. I myself emptied out a water cooler(complete with floating bugs), and one of the rooms had a family of MICE living in it. YES, its in the Mountains, however, there are ways to prevent that kind of thing. Upon letting the front desk know, they did not offer a change of rooms nor did they offer to discount of comp the room. I felt it was way overpriced for what we received. The hot tub was cold the first night and no one answered the«emergency» phone number for after hours. The food was mediocre. I asked for grilled out food, but nothing was ever cooked outside. I asked for soup and sandwiches and we were served cheap Campbells tomato soup. Our group had fun regardless of my disappointments. If you are going to pay the price for a retreat, there are MUCH nicer places with MUCH better food and accomodations in Colorado.

This place is amazing! Our car broke down near there, and their maintenance guy gave us a ride to the ranch and they fed us and let us stay until the two truck came. I look forward to coming back for a peaceful retreat!

The staff at our wedding did such an amazing job! The setting up at the ranch is out of a movie beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for anything more, thank you!

Unbelievable experience at this ranch. Excellent deal for a great afternoon– $ 35 for a one hour trail ride! My best and I stumbled upon PVR on our way to go hiking. We walked in and were able to sign up for a 1 hour beginner trail ride that was set to begin only a few hours later. I can only write so much about how beautiful the trail was, because it was, well, you know the ROCKIES, but the staff was unbelievably friendly and our host made for an excellent companion for the hour that we spent together. I can not wait to come back and actually stay the night at this ranch, it looks so cute and quaint– I highly recommend it to everyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

We stayed as a bed breakfast guest, and got the cabin which was nice but EXTREMELY rustic. Crawling with spiders. The private hot tub was pleasant. The breakfast was rather meh. Nice grounds though. Overall, not too bad but definitely overpriced.

Ok so, the first time I went here I was thoroughly disappointed. If you stay in the main lodge, be prepared. 1. Expect paper thin walls, you won’t sleep a wink. 2. The pool is haunted, I swear. 3. The set up in the rooms is awkward and so not feng shui friendly. bummer. I went here for a Holiday party with my co-workers. We had a blast, however, it wasn’t because PV was great, they sucked but we can have fun anywhere. They took us on a mediocre hay bail ride… we were suffocated by an over active tractor exhaust. Yuck. I swore I would never return. Then I found out I was headed there unexpectedly for a very important workshop that I couldn’t miss. I’m not sure what happened the first time but, I was so mistaken. The first trip I spent one night there. The past trip I spent 4 nights and five days there. What a pleasure. There food was great and they made so many arrangements to be ohhh so accommodating for the food allergies that plagues my fellow workshoppers. We stayed in the lodge called Buffalo Run, lovely and quiet. They have horses, that are wellllll taken care of and lots of other wildlife present on their secluded and quiet property. There was a black bear spotted 20 feet from my room on the last night I was there. We had a bon fire and hot cocoa… marshmallows and the whole nine. They really took good care of us. The only thing to warn you about on my second try, is, they charge a 15% gratuity on their rooms and ½ of that goes to the house… boooo. You can always dig a little deeper in that pocket and tip the right people. like I did.
