This place was convenient to where I wanted to go but the room was small & not the cleanest. The room smelled musty, like mold. The carpeting seemed perpetually damp. The sink was crusted with blue/green stuff. I left the bathroom vent on & turned on the a/c when I went out. But when I returned hours later, there was the still lingering, distinctive bad smell in the room. Borrowed some deodorising spray from the from desk but that didn’t help much. The clerk told me all the rooms were full so no chance of switching.

Fairly new, clean and quiet facility. Had a great night’s stay at a really good price. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but adequate. No question we would stay there again.

I went here on business. The price was good and the breakfast was good! Nice fitness room and every thing looked really nice. The room was a little small bit everything you need for a business trip the bed was comfortable when I laid down but woke up sore.

Ok I stay in a lot of hotels during the year and this is one of the worst. Rooms are small and I can live with that but they are not clean, bathroom, sheets all look dingy and dirty. Company makes me stay here but next time I will pay the difference and stay somewhere else.

This Microtel is not all bad, but don’t expect much. I arrived to find that the hotel had recently suffered a plumbing leak between the lobby and first floor, apparently resulting in water damage throughout the lobby. Thirty or forty air blowers were positioned throughout the lobby during my stay to help evaporate water. That was not a big deal, because I figured a pipe can burst in any building. After checking in I went up to my room, went in and found two people had already checked in to the room, now wearing their pajamas. They were scared to death that I walked in to their room unexpectedly. After explaining that the front desk must have given me the wrong key, I went back to the front desk and described what happened. The receptionist at the front desk was visibly bewildered and apologetic. She called a manager and determined someone had checked the other guests into the room without recording it in the hotel computer. I didn’t make a fuss because I didn’t feel there was anything the receptionist at the front could do and I was really tired. I got a key to a different room and the receptionist warned me in advance that the interior door lock for the new room had to be replaced. She said someone would replace the lock promptly. I went up to the room and the interior lock was soon replaced, as she promised, but considering the earlier event I was a bit concerned about leaving my notebook computer in the room all weekend — so I carried it with me everywhere instead of leaving it in the room. After my trip I completed an unsolicited satisfaction survey received from Microtel and then received a very short apology for the incident via email. Considering everything, I’m not sure I would stay there again. It was a cheap rate, clean, and conveniently located. But when I think about it, I don’t want to worry about the security of my luggage or possessions in my room when I travel. I’ll pay the extra $ 30 a night to stay somewhere else with less worry.
