We eat at Taki pretty often. Food is always great, and service is typically pretty good. This evening, we sat at the sushi bar and had the pleasure of meeting Gabriel. He not only made us several amazing rolls, but also was extremely attentive and courteous. He’s certainly an asset to Taki. Thanks, Gabriel; I hope your managers appreciate you as much as we do!

As an update… I was the person who had the lobster that was replaced because the chef dumped teriyaki sauce all over it. I was raised and believe that if you have to soak food in a gravy or a sauce it’s because it doesn’t taste well on its own and I was reminded of that at Taki on Christmas day. It would have been impossible for me to notify the chef that I didn’t want sauce all over my food because this was my FIRST visit to this restaurant so I was not accustomed to your practices. How was I supposed to know that a big vat of teriyaki sauce was going to invade my lobster? However, a GOOD chef would have realized that when you’re taking one flavor away, you compensate with another, which could have been more garlic butter or more lemon — not to leave the food bland with barely any salt or spice. You are correct, I am a foodie and I enjoy Japanese Steakhouses a lot and if I could make a suggestion, when the chef is confirming the orders, why not ASK if they prefer sauce all over their food. I’m sure that since this is middle GA most won’t realize that this is actually rare in other locales and will go for it, but then you’re not wasting food by having to send something back, not eaten. Seems to me that it’s a very simple fix that will leave less confusion. One other thing. I asked that no broccoli or carrots be served to me and asked if I could be served extra zucchini and onion only to be told no. For the life of me, I can’t think of a reason why such a simple request couldn’t be granted. You should be much more accommodating(especially) to new customers. Your soup was good though. It and the zucchini were the best things in the meal.

My husband and I love to lunch there. The sushi is very fresh and well prepared. The hibachi items are also fresh and hot. I love the vegetable tempura. We have also had dinners there for many years and always had a great experience with good food.

I have come to Taki a few times before and I have enjoyed my experiences. This time I went and I made the mistake of ordering a roll with crab meat in it(I cannot eat crab because of religious reasons) when I explained this to my server and then to supervisor, even though I took responsibility and apologized multiple times, the supervisor went above and beyond to guilt me for my mistake. She stated repeatedly that although she would change it out for me this time next time if it happened she wouldn’t because they have to throw it away and continued on with telling me why I my mistake wasn’t beneficial for them. I apologized again and told her that it was no worry because I would not come back to the restaurant again. It’s a shame because I truly loved coming to Taki and have told people about it and even brought my husband here when he came back from deployment ANDWHILE I DOUNDERSTAND that the mistake was a loss for the restaurant, it was one roll and he way that the supervisor handled it left a poor taste in my mouth. It was good while it lasted but today will be my last day coming here.

The foods pretty good but the service is terrible when dealing with the Asian wait staff they are short with you and simply just rude. Order to go is the way to go.

Really fresh sushi rolls. There’s a good bit of variety for what you can get. The prices aren’t bad either. I came here during lunch and the service was good. Taki seems to be some of the few healthy things you can eat in the area.

Things did not start out very well the other night, my wife & I waited over 15 minutes to be seated when there were four tables available. Waited another 10 minutes at table while our sever waited on other tables seat after us. After placing our order, we waited another thirty minutes for one roll. I guess it finished bad too. For the last 8 years things here were good but the wait service was awful now. I suggest you order your food to go!!! Because rolls are delicious.

Great place for lunch and groups for dinner. Big selection of sushi, just your basic jap grill. I think it’s a bit over priced for the quality of food.

I walked in the door of the restaurant and an employee’s son hit me in an inappropriate place with a balloon. No apology received and no correction from his parent… It took them forever to seat us, the sushi was foul, and the service was even worse. Next time I’ll spend my money elsewhere

Food ok. They have happy hour special with 20 percent off rolls. However. Got seated at 623 pm. Waitress wouldnt bring sushi menu until 630 passed and would not honor special. Cheapos! Watch your receipt. We like food but they always charge full price unless you point it out.

We went here a few Sundays ago and had a HORRIBLE time. The hostess was awful. We asked to be sat at the Sushi Bar. She said 10 – 15 minutes. I asked if we could wait outside because it was packed. She nodded at me. About 7 minutes later, we come back inside, she is no where to be seen. Another patron said they called our name a few minutes ago. We asked when she came back. She said she called our name, we weren’t here so she sat someone else in our seat. AFTER she said I could wait outside. So, we ended up waiting an HOURAND A HALF to sit at the sushi bar. Once there, we weren’t allowed or order sushi from the sushi chefs. Wait, what? I just waited for an hour and a half to NOT be able to order from a chef right in front of me? Also, the bar was sort of tilted and they totally spilled hot miso soup all over a member of my party. The food was passable for sushi. However, the service was so horrible that I will never return.

Very poor customer service from overly busy and uncaring staff. Dingy floors throughout the building. The fountain in the waiting area was broken and empty, half-heartedly filled with cheap decorations. In the restroom, stall door hinges were broken and didn’t correctly lock, the trash can lid was missing, and the paper towel roll was sitting on the sink counter instead of placed in the now empty dispenser. Despite sitting at the sushi bar, the sushi chefs ignored us, and we were expected to order through the waitress. The food service once seated was average. The sushi bar is physically slanted(see pic), and the rushed waitress spilled miso soup on my leg. The food is merely decent. I will never return.

My son requested sushi at Taki for his 7th birthday. We sat at the sushi bar and had absolutely fantastic sushi and sashimi. The food came out quick, it was fast, and we had three different waiters tending to us. This was, in part, because my son drew something of a crowd being as little as he is and wolfing down sashimi, but still they treated us like kings. At the end of the evening, they brought him out a dish of ice cream with a lit candle in it for his birthday. Getting a birthday dessert at a restaurant isn’t that odd, but something about a lit candle delights a child and my son is no exception. He was enchanted. Not only was the wait staff on point and fast, they were also extremely pleasant. The sushi chef even made small talk with us during our meal. This experience more than earned the five stars. I’d give them six if I could. Congratulations Taki, you’ve earned our business. We’ll definitely be back.

Decent so far. Their pond isn’t working. It’s placed near the entrance. Good Sushi! Good staff.
