The food here is average at best. In the rear of the building they have what I would call a little grove that is totally under utilized, if utilized at all. If you come in the front, hold your breath, this is where the designated smoking area is. If you choose to sit, don’t sit near the door to the smoking section, you will smell the smoke and deal with the cold air throughout your stay. I do visit the Pub from time to time, because they offer 616oz Miller Lite Cans for $ 10, but if they had a busy Friday night you can forget about it. I have gone twice now(mind you it was the middle of the day) and they didn’t have any left. Maybe this review should fall on the Bar Manager for poor ordering, but I’m not asking you to keep Johnny Walker Blue on the shelf, were talking Miller Lite. Lastly, I was quite thrown back when last week I saw a 19 year old at the bar(literally sitting at the bar) from 8 — 10:45pm. PLCB states that no one under the age of 21 can sit or be in a designated bar area after 9pm unless in the company of a parent or court appointed guardian. Neither was present. It also states that owners, bartenders, and servers are prohibited from serving minors non-alcoholic drinks, such as virgin bloody Mary’s or any other drink determined to be adult. Well I wasn’t sitting next to her, but lets just say she was drinking milk or a diet coke.

The Macungie Pub very good unpretentious local joint. The food is typical bar food and well executed. Staff is friendly and moves quickly to try to take care of everyone when the place is crowded. Very Good selection of beer and the very competent bartenders will surprise you with the variety and quality of drinks they can mix. Make sure you go here on a Sunday morning for the Bloody Mary special. The drink itself is great and the garnishes are practically a meal on their own! Beware of the friday night Karaōke, some of the voices could be weaponized if we needed to defend the place. Not really a place you go for a quiet drink at that point. Smoking deck outside if you’re into that kind of thing.

4 stars as related to Bar Food. Not gourmet but that’s not why you go here. Good take out or eat in. Friendly staff. Good location. Easy parking. Cold beer. Good wings.

Best local pub we’ve been to here in A-town. I’m sorry we waited so long to try it out. The fact that the owners come in and work and talk to the patrons speaks volumes about them. Surprisingly it is one of the only pubs we’ve been to with owner involvement. I like the trivia. The bartenders are nice and friendly. Patrons are fun. Beer selection is nice. Food — the butcher block burger, pub chips, and old bay wings were very good. I am a big fan of the pub chips. Two thumbs up. We will be back.

This review is only for the beer selection, atmosphere and service. Beer selection: great for the area. Usually have a good variety of craft beers on tap and lots of bottles. They even do make your own 6 pack. The atmosphere: relaxed and very casual… kind of a dive. It’s a little like cheers in the sense that if your from the area you’ll see people you know. It’s usually somewhat busy. Service: service is just okay. I’ve had two good male bartenders. My main issue is that they are inconsistent and they need to learn proper glasses for beers. One day I had the same beer in 2 different glasses. Essentially I got ripped off because my beer belonged in a 16 oz beer glass and he put it into a 12 oz glass. The next time I went I got served a pumpkin ale in a tulip type glass again. And yesterday once again I was served a beer in that glass when it belonged in a pint glass. I saw someone else with the same beer in a pint glass. Perhaps they should learn glasses and consistency.

We went there for a friends 21st(most of us were over 30) and they wouldn’t serve us because her I’d was sideways… No kidding she just turned 21! Then when we were leaving to go to another bar the dark curly red head said she was calling the other bar to tell them not to serve us! Are you kidding??? Never will go there again or even order pizza! F pub on main and armettas!

Awesome«guys night out» with my 8-year-old son. He had a Grilled Cheese with Homemade Tortilla Chips(a friendly substitute because he doesn’t care for steak fries or homemade pub chips, even though they’re both really good here). Cost $ 3.00. Can’t beat it. I had Buffalo Chicken Dip with Homemade Tortilla Chips for $ 8.00 and 3 Pierogies sauteed with onions for $ 3.50(both very tasty). Then of course, the highlight, I had a bottle of Left Hand Black Jack Porter, a bottle of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout and a bottle of Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout. All three were delicious. Bottom line, great atmosphere, awesome food for fair prices and an unbelievable number of GREAT beers to choose from, no matter if you’re into IPAs, Ales, Porters, Stouts, etc. Well done, Franco, well done. Also known as the Pub on Main, the Macungie Pub is located on Route 100(Main Street), Macungie, among the older buildings. Locals will know it as formerly Roger’s Place. The place has received a decent coat of paint, changed owners(which I have heard are also the present owners of Armetta’s, the pizza place down the road) and the crowd has gone from very gruff old townies to young jovial townies. Modern bar tables have been added, though all quite wobbly. The service is good, but the pub food is only fair, with a limited menu. They do make a roast beef sandwich called the Pretzler, that has an amazing pretzel bread roll. Their«pub chips’ need a lot of work. The potatoes are not sliced thin enough, so instead of getting fresh crispy chips, it is more like floppy home fries. There are fliers up with times and dates of various live entertainment performances from comedy acts to bands. Though we did not see any the night we dined. They offer one or two tables on the front porch, but be aware that is the same area all the smokers go to when they need their addiction fix. Parking is either along the street or in the gravel oddly shaped lot a few doors down. So ladies, your spiked heels might not fair well. The place tends to get more crowded around the Summer car show times(Das Awscht Fescht, Wheels of Time Hot Rod Show, Antique Truck Show, etc.). If you want a cold beer, a shot and a chance to mingle with the locals, it is worth a try.

It’s your typical local pub. The roast beef sandwiches are pretty decent… don’t forget the onions! It’s a local water hole, so the waitresses tend to know everyone and they’ll know your order if you’re in often enough. I haven’t been in since they changed ownership, but I’m sure they still do clam night.
