Came by here this past weekend to check out the Butterfly Sanctuary and the grounds. First impression was that it was a beautiful property! It’s well maintained, clean, has plenty of parking, and has picnic areas. It’s a great place to visit with the family. We came with 4 toddlers and they had a great time! I love the pathways and the activities they have for the children. The Butterfly Sanctuary was so adorable and fun for all of us! Did I mention it’s all free?! It’s great! Stop by and buy a pomegranate slushie(delicious!) and some pomegranate juice and support our local businesses and farms!

We’re members of the neighboring farm’s CSA, T&D Wiley Farms(check them out too, they’re great). During a farm tour this Spring they encouraged us to visit their neighbors. Since pomegranate season is in full effect, we paid them a visit. We were super impressed. This was exactly what we thought we’d find all over the San Joaquin Valley when we moved here a year ago. Unfortunately they’re one of only a few. What I’m talking about is a true blue American farm store — with a pumpkin patch(not a pumpkin lot), apples and homemade apple cider, a quaint gift shop, an old red barn, friendly farmers, and fields of produce. This place is even better because it’s got tons of the best pomegranates. If you get a chance try the pomegranate icee. It’s DELICIOUS. They also have a green house full of flowers and newly hatched butterflies. There’s also a mini orchard walk that introduces you to Valley fruits. Visit this place for a great Taste of the Valley.
