We’ve been wanting to try this new gyro place for a long time and so glad we did! It’s not very busy I think it’s new but definitely a hidden gem of Madison. Far more authentic food than Taziki for sure! We ordered the beef lamb gyro, flafels(fried chickpea patties over bread and tzitziki sauce), and the lamb chop platter(with salad, rice, and bread). The quantity was generous and ingredients fresh. My husband can’t stop talking about how delicious the gyro was. I loved the lamb chop but next time I will order medium well instead of medium. The owner is very courteous and kept bring us more of their delicious tzitziki sauce. We will definitely be back!

Been twice now. The service was great both times. Very helpful and nice. We had the lamb gyro and lamb gyro plate. Both were excellent as well as the salad and dressing that comes with it. We will be back and highly recommend it. We like it just as much or more than Papa Gyros. :)

Give this place a try. I think they’re up to eight tables in the dining area now. I’m rating them 5 stars because they so exceeded my expectation. They’re not a gyro fast-food joint operated by uncaring high school kids. Yes, they have gyros and Greek foods. They also do salads and pizza. The place has some interesting decorations. But it was the folks running the place who impressed me. The very nice lady taking our order at the register, and the knowledgeable man cooking on the grill, are from Persia. They speak English fluently. I asked if the menu had any Persian items. They said not really, but they frequently serve them as specials. He said if we wanted Persian or Iranian foods he would cook them specially for us.

Returned after our 9⁄2015 visit and it appears that they got the system down to a science. All items came out as requested and were very well prepared. I had the chicken«slavake(?)» and there was so much food that we took some home. Special’s prices are very competitive but the ala cart items can drive the price up considerably. None the less, it is a nice place for lunch. Best of luck to them. Enjoy. :-)

I was in Alabama for business meeting & went to this place for lunch. Food was very good & restaurant was very clean with very reasonable prices. Overall was good experience and I was happy with the friendly attitude of staff. I had Gyro plate & cucumber rolls. They were both delicious.

Gyro 21 is a great addition to the restaurant options in Madison. Their beef souvlaki is excellent as is their hummus. I have been there three times and everything I’ve had is great. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the quirky décor. I’ll admit it seems to be on par with other middle eastern/greek restaurants of this kind. Nonetheless, I’ll be back and I highly recommend it.

We ate here once and likely will not go back again. The food was acceptable, but not great by any stretch of the imagination — and certainly no where near the quality of Papa Gyro. The restaurant is very small, and only has a single table that can accommodate more than 2 diners. If you find yourself in that strip mall and hungry, do yourself a favor and go next door to Bento Box. It’s Healthier, Cheaper and tastes a whole lot better!

Prices were fair. Plenty of options. The folks were friendly and helpful when ordering. Time from order to food was little less than 5 minutes and the restaurant was somewhat filled with customers. That’s a nice, quick time to get food out to customers. I ordered the döner salad plate. Included a somewhat small serving of döner, some warm pita wedges, Greek salad and dressing and small order of fries. The food was great! I could’ve used a little more meat for the price I paid for the plate. But not a deal breaker. Also tried the«baclava»…really tasty. I think it was called baclava. No pictures because I inhaled the food before thinking of posting a Unilocal review. If you are in the mood for gyro/döner, give this place a try in Madison.

I called for delivery. I’m sure the food would have been good, but I was told they were short staffed. Then, he hung up on me.

They called the police on me when I asked for my money back for the nasty and wrong food. Really! Do not go to place!

My family loves the food here. Everything is delicious. Their hummus is very yummy and I definitely recommend it along with the chicken or lamb/beef gyro. The staff is very friendly and I love coming here.

Excellent choice for a fast food option. Friendly staff and terrific food(beef and lamb gyro). Order the baklava — it’s homemade and worth it!

I was a little skeptical going in. It’s clearly an old Quiznos, and they asked me what I wanted on my sandwich at the register when habit wanted me to tell them as I walked along the window. The food was delicious! I got the veggie panini with fries and loved it. The staff was insanely nice. Even when I went back for fries, there was a line where I’d have to wait too long to eat it with my sandwich. He said he’d start making them right then and would just let me pay for them later when the line at the register died down. They were really going out of their way with every little request to make sure we were happy. We were!

My son and I just went for the first time… absolutely wonderful! I had the classic gyro and he had the beef/lamb gyro plate, which was comprised of a Greek salad, fries, and gyro meat with pita bread. It came with a little cup of Greek dressing and a cup of tzatziki. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the fries tasted so fresh I’m pretty sure they hand cut them in store. The owner brought us samples of their Mediterranean Roasted Garlic Lentil soup to try. My son proclaimed the salad to be the best salad he’s ever had… and he’s 22, so he’s had a few. This place definitely gives Papa Gyro’s a run for its money. I plan to be a regular!

My girlfriend and I just had a couple of gyro plates and everything was delicious. The beef was tender with good flavor, the rice was perfectly cooked and the plates were visually appealing. 22 dollars for 2 good lunches with drinks is not a bad deal in my opinion. I’ll eat here again.

Food was OK but not inspiring. Reasonable prices. Falafel plate contained a generous amount of falafels(not very crispy) side salad with no dressing. Pita bread no hummus, had to order that separately, fries and small side of taziki(maybe that was for both the falafel and the salad. Maybe we’ve just been spoiled to Big Papa Gyro. Since these guys just opened, I’ll come back in a few weeks for a second try. Maybe they add some grilled veggies to the vegetable falafel plate.
