Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe

Great food, superb service… especially from this wonderful black young lady who struck up a conversation with me while I was finishing up my order (hate I didn’t grab her name to give her props for her customer service!!!). My hubby & I love it there. Just wish they had one in Athens (hint, hint)

I just moved to the area and got settled in my home. Going to the city is bit of a drive for us but we always like to try at least one new place every time we’re out and about. My husband and I have been wanting to try Tazikis for months now. We finally made it to the restaurant with the best intentions and excited to have great food. The menu was diverse and the cashiers were super polite. However, we asked for a recommendation off the menu and neither of the employees could illustrate their «favorite» dish. We paid for meals and sat down at a table with our number in the stand for everyone to see. A couple customers came in after us and had their food in front of them within 10 minutes of their arrival but there wasn’t more than four customers in their establishment. Thought it was odd but continued our conversation and minded our own business. Then two employees sat down in the table next to us to eat their meals. After sitting at a table and watching everyone eat around us we finally asked about our food, and to only be told to wait another ten minutes. If we would have been informed at the register of the time delay in our meals we could have made our own decision on what we ordered. It was a horrible experience and there are plenty of restaurants to eat at that will gladly accept our money and appreciate our business.

I need another trip for another meal…

Good, fresh, tasty food. Recently found this gem and have gone back twice in 2 weeks. Fell in love with their hummus and beef tenderloin gyro.

I love Greek food and am enjoying this excellent restaurant close to home. I especially love the domaldes and the salads.

I think this is the best place for Greek Food in Huntsville. Clean, Not To Pricey, and really good ambiance. I really enjoyed my lamb gyro and their basmati rice :-)

Takeout wait can be awhile sometimes… BUT… The food is amazing! Restaurant is clean and the staff seem friendly and helpful.
My favorite is the Mediterranean salad with the grilled salmon… I could seriously eat it everyday.

I was visiting Huntsville, and was looking for a good Mediterranean place to eat. Found this place in Unilocal,and decided to try. Ordered a glass of their house wine, soup, and Mediterranean salad. Loved it.
Very nice place, and worth the money’s worth.

Omg this place is amazing. I get the grilled veggie plate with basmati rice and a Greek salad on the side… And sometimes chocolate cake… which is insanely good!!! One of my favorite places to eat!

Taste was ok but NOT your typical Gyro joint. Lunchtime Gyro and one side item cost $ 10. This does not include a drink. You order from a Starbucks, Panera Bread type counter then find your own seat. Meat was not carved off the pole and was a small portion. I will not be back based on quanity and price.

The lamb gyro is fantastic, the lamb and skordalia gyro is also very delicious. The staff is super friendly! We will definitely be back!

Awesome hummus and pimento cheese appetizers, gyros, salads, service, and reasonably price kids meals will have us coming back

I highly recommend the pork feast and steak gyros!

It’s the same stuff as the Whitesburg location… but somehow it’s brighter and more cheery.
They have pretty solid hummus and I also like the lamb and skordalia, salmon feast and the tilapia sandwich. That’s pretty much my go-​to list whenever I come in, too.

4−14−15: The food and service were excellent. In my humble opinion, they serve the best hummus dip in the city!

It hurts to give this rating, but compared to the Taziki’s in Huntsville their grilled lamb gyro is not good at all.
The lamb is dry and chewy, not spiced enough and can’t get a good taste out of it. I have tried at least 3 times different times and still not good. I am used to the juicy lamb that is served in the restaurant in Huntsville, the tomato-​cucumber salad is okay but some more flavor won’t hurt.
So sad, because this is like 5 minutes away from home… while the other Taziki’s in Huntsville is quite far away but prefer to go all the way over there than not enjoying my food.
The place in general is well decorated feels weird to go to the counter for a refill but the staff is friendly and nice. Jam-​paked during dinner time.

Stopped here for the first time today and liked it. I had the grilled lamb with the hummus appetizer. The lamb was juicy and tender, the rice very tasty and the hummus was good but really too much for one person.
I was a bit disappointed not to see some traditional Greek dishes like Moussaka or Spanakopita but it’s still a nice change from another sandwich shop or BBQ restaurant.

I love this place. They stick to real food instead of over processed stuff. They’re still dealing with a bit of a learning curve here since my last couple orders were a little inconsistent. By that, I don’t mean any of it wasn’t still delicious. The tomato basil sandwich is to die for and the potatoes side are seasoned up well. I’ve also had the pimento cheese sandwich which is a good one as well.
Last I checked, the baklava is brought in daily from a bakery in Birmingham. It’s fresh and oh so good!
Only note is to maybe avoid this place when it’s crowded. I think they’re still getting up to speed, and it’s a bit of a wait to get your food.
