Serves Hershey Ice Cream. Many many flavors. A lil pricey. Cute place. Ice cream is yummy.

My favorite ice cream place in the area! Love their blended frozen yogurt — you select a base flavor and the ingredients you want to have blended in there. All of the combinations I’ve had were pretty good but don’t get the hazelnut because they use hazelnut coffee creamer powder — disappointed they didn’t use real hazelnuts. Their cappuccino crunch flavored ice cream is pretty good, too. Lots of seating inside and outside.

A very nice stop after dinner. There is a music festival right across the street every Friday during the season. Do not let the blowing AC scare you when you walking in as it is right over you head and makes funny/loud noise. The air is full of ice cream aroma just like the one you can smell in old place, which can bring back your memories as you are a kid. It is hard to find that anywhere else. It will take you a few minutes to read through all the inc cream tags behind the glass. Risen rum is still my most favorite, and my wife picked banana budding. That one, somehow, tastes like cotton candy to me… For the first time, I noticed that Mc Cool’s has so many ice cream options for you dogs! I wonder whether dog loves strawberry or vanilla more…

My family and I have had several flavors here and all were good. We really enjoyed the salted caramel truffle and the pound cake flavors.

This place is really cute — they have a huge selection of Hershey’s Ice Cream and the employees scooped a little more than should fit. The complimentary water cooler for customers must be a life-saver in the summer months. Seating is a little limited, and if you’re walking from the front of the store to the back of the line be prepared to suck in your stomach. However, once you get your ice cream, Madison offers plenty of benches on the sidewalks. I also learned from comparing purchases with my friends that when you want a cone, but may not lick fast enough to keep up with the melting treat, getting a cone coated with chocolate and sprinkles will help dam the flow!

This ice cream shop has a huge selection of flavors(they serve Hershey’s ice cream) and toppings. I found the«small» to be plenty for one person— maybe 2 scoops or so. And they’re very generous with their toppings. I do wish that the flavors were listed on a wall or something so that you could see them all at once(instead of through the glass case as you snake through the line). In addition to ice cream, they have make milkshakes, something akin to a Friendly’s cyclone(soft serve whipped with toppings in a cup), sherbet, and soft-serve.

Amazing ice cream including a ice cream sandwich for dogs that our puppy loves. Friendly staff and fun to always see kids in there getting so excited about the different flavors.

MCCOOLS!!! Come here at least once a week. Love their flavors(especially during the holiday season) I tend to always get my go-to flavor but there are so many good ones to choose from! Im a big fan of small ice cream shops and McCools is perfect.

It’s a simple, proven formula. They have a decent selection of quality ice cream in a good location. There is no gimmick, no cold stone, no assembly line of handles. Mc Cool’s is near a bunch of restaurants, so it’s a great place to grab desert after diner out. The atmosphere inside is OK, though I always prefer to grab the goods inside then sit outside to enjoy. This place survived having a «Red Mango» across the street, and came out on top(Red Mango is now closed).

I love a good ice cream shop. With all the new frozen yogurt spots popping up all over the place, old fashioned ice cream shops are just not that common. McCool’s had a great selection of unique flavors. There were so many combinations/flavors that I haven’t seen before and weren’t crazy. These were just delicious concoctions. I’m a creature of habit and usually stick to my coffee ice cream but I tried their oatmeal cookie and it was mmhmm good! I tried my friend’s chocolate ice cream and with just one bite I could tell that this was the good stuff. I’m not a huge chocolate ice cream fan but this was so rich and creamy it won me over. This seems like a popular spot with the locals. There’s a good amount of seating for the size of the shop and most of the tables were taken. You can certainly taste the quality in their ice cream and I shall definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

McCools is just the best. Their oatmeal cookie flavor is kind of to die for. It is absolutely our go-to when we splurge and get«real» ice cream instead of fro-yo. Tons of flavors. Oh and try the soft serve frozen yogurt because you won’t even believe it’s not real ice cream. It’s that good.

The combination of honey cinnamon and raspberry is amazing!!! That’s what my gf had while I had the midnight caramel in a shake. Both super delicious! I have to say that this place was a great place to have dessert after a lackluster meal. Not much else to really say about this place. The person helping seemed nervous as hell at everything we had to say but other than that, nothing really. To sum it up real quick: great dessert place, would come back here, you should come here, and have a nice day.

I come here for all flavas, luv the selection. My favs are birthday cake, moose tracks, and red velvet. Service is always fast and there is always plenty of room to sit inside or outside. This place is full of locals because it is in the middle of downtown Madison. Totally a family affair and good wholesome hang out, or perfect dessert spot when in the neighborhood. This place is pretty basic, it’s just right no fluff needed. Prices are not cheap.

The ice cream was nothing special. The staff is very very rude! If you want to go here for ice cream don’t ask for more than two taste try’s, the staff will be very rude. My friends and I were called retards when the staff thought we couldn’t hear them talking about us.

The ice cream is decent, nothing special. The staff is rude. Two girls were talking about my friends and I and ended up telling another employee that they thought we were«retards» because we asked to try a few flavors.

Very good Hershey’s ice cream. Better than average selection of flavors. They have a few sorbets and low fat /low sugar options as well. Slightly high price point, but not unreasonable. There is a decent amount of seating, both inside and outside of the parlor. It is a little tight inside, a point that’s exacerbated when it’s more crowded. My disappointment was with the service. I did not appreciate my server copping an attitude when I asked if they were in fact known for their milkshake. She denied that was the case, but did reluctantly admit the establishment had won a top prize for that very item several years ago. When I’d asked what flavor, I was met with another run-around. To further insult me, my server then made disparaging comments about my inquiry when my back was turned, which was met with guffaws from the staff. A simple note to all teenagers: unlike vision, hearing is not impaired by the direction of one’s head. For shame. I thought I’d take a ride over there as I’d had dinner in Summit and thought I’d treat my family to something new. First and last time I’ll be there. I’d rather take my business to Frozen In Time in Livingston. A slightly lesser selection – also Hershey’s ice cream – is more than made up for by a far friendlier staff, not to mention a lower price point.

Super cute in-town ice cream place with amazing frozen yogurt concoctions(Yo-Blends) that keep me coming back. My boyfriend is obsessed with the yo-blends, so we stop by quite a bit – I highly recommend the Almond Joy(coconut, chocolate chips, almonds) or Whimpanzee(bananas and chocolate). I also bought a last minute birthday cake here and the staff quicky scribed a message and it looked great for the price(only about ~$ 20).

I was skeptical of Hershey’s Ice Cream when I moved to the area but I am now a believer. Chocolate lovers, get the Chocolate Moose Tracks– you won’t be disappointed.

It’s ice cream. It’s not gelato or home made. A lot of the flavors are Hershey’s inspired. The staff is friendly and if you ask for suggestions you get a reaction like«Really? It’s ice cream…» You can’t go wrong with most flavors. Small cup is even filling for a big dude like me(assuming you are coming after dinner). Went on a rainy weekday so wasn’t overly busy but I can potentially see this place being elbow to elbow on a hot summer day. I am a no frills ice cream connoisseur. No hot fudge, no sprinkles, no toppings… period. You need to taste the flavor of the ice cream not load it with flavor killers. I guess that’s just me. They have seasonal flavors although I passed them up. A few tables for those lazy enough to sit down and eat this glutenous dessert. I had no choice, it was raining. Otherwise a nice stroll on Main St with a cup of ice cream in one hand and a good looking chick in the other… priceless. And the ice cream, good enough to stop in if you are around town. Enjoy!
