Really good pizza. Super fast delivery if you order out and really nice people. Great place to take the family or a casual dinner out. I love it there. They always cater to my very special orders and I am vegan so I’m kind of a hassle. They have always been good about making me food that’s not on the menu.

I tried Red Loin 3 times now, the first time was good but the last 2 times we’re crap. Very little Cheese and sauce, under-cooked and cold. Also they charge 50 cents for soda refills and 5.50 for salad bar(one time thru, no return for more salad). p

I’ve never had a bad experience here, ever. They don’t cheat you on toppings. It’s always fresh and tasty. The employees are pleasant. And, in my opinion, they’re the best of Magalia /Paradise. Cheesy bread and sandwiches are bomb! One time a pizza came just a tad undercooked and I just popped it into the oven for a bit and it was perfect! You guys are great.

Oh Red lion… I really tried. My very first order I placed with them they got wrong. Like, all the way wrong. Ordered a plain old large pepperoni. I received some artichoke and red onion concoction. In their defense it WAS tasty but not what I wanted. Since it is close to me I gave it another try. That order went off without a hitch. The next time I tried, after 45 minutes I called to see where the pie was. Not even started. Almost 30 minutes after that they finally showed up. Wouldn’t even drop the delivery charge for me because of their goof. I live pretty much right behind them. Less than a ten minute walk. Tonight I tried again. Busy holiday season shopping like most everyone else right now so I needed convenience. Let’s try Red lion. I’m all about giving a local business a fair shot. I call, immediately ask if I can hold. No problem. Standard practice. Well this place doesn’t have a real hold function on their phone apparently and I could hear them dealing with a disgruntled customer. Guess what? They were unhappy because their order was forgotten somehow. Guess they do this all the time! After a lengthy wait someone finally picked up the phone and took my order. I asked for two sauces mixed. I just wanted to be clear that I didn’t want a one half, other half pizza. I wanted them mixed. He then very rudely proclaimed he knew what I meant with a shitty little sigh. After that when asked about method of payment I said charge. Someone then in the background said just write his card # down or could I call back in ten minutes. Really? It’s Tuesday. Not the weekend. Skip this place. They have a long way to go before they get their act together. Local businesses. You want support? Act like it.

Pleasantly surprised good pizza at a fair price. Will be back to try their sandwiches. Got a simple pepperoni and it was loaded!

Red Lion has the best Meatball sandwich I think Ive ever had! Plenty of meatballs, melted cheese and olives make them very tasty! .The Roast Beef sandwiches are also excellent. we get the large as its enough for 2 people… Their pizza is great too. I love the crust… We enjoy all the food here

I love the sandwiches at Red Lion. The pastrami is the best, in my opinion. The pizza is a huge miss for me. The sauce is definitely what kills the pizza. The service is definitely hit and miss. This will however be the last time I go there. There was an issue with the dough with my significant other’s take and bake pizza. We brought the pizza in and began to explain the issue with the dough. The individual at the counter began the conversation with a horrible attitude. She told us that it’s not their problem and what did we expect her to do? My boyfriend has worked with pizzas for 10 years. He was able to identify the issue with the dough and was hoping for it to be remade. Instead, we were treated like garbage and given a sob story about how awful the individual’s day was. I have empathy, but not enough to go back there.

I’ve only had delivery but it’s good. The pizza weighed a TON, a bit greasy but I expect and enjoy that.

We have been there many times, and the place is REALLY hit or miss, and the hit isn’t out of the ballpark. The restaurant: Is so so, I guess for Magalia it’s not bad. The tables are ALWAYS sticky and don’t drink from the cups, ask for a «to go» cup… TRUSTME The Pizza: As someone else commented the tomato sauce isn’t great. I won’t eat a pizza there with it. It is horribly sweet and tastes like ketchup. The service… REALLY hit or miss. There’s a couple nice people there, but on the whole DON’T expect good service. We always order a NON tomato sauce and sometimes the pizza is quiet good. When it’s not… it’s TERRIBLE. We ordered a pizza for delivery and the pizza was wrong. When we called, and I was extremely polite, as anyone can make a mistake and it’s not life or death, it’s a pizza. I explained what was wrong with the pizza and the person on the phone, who was VERY polite apologized then asked(I assume the person that cooked it) what she should do. The person in the background, stated yes they made it wrong, but what did we want them to do about it. *WHAT*??? She said we could have a new pizza or a «credit» towards our next pizza. Um… what is a credit towards the next pizza? Is that a complimentary pizza next time or a couple dollars off? So I told her I would like a new pizza. They said they would get one in for us and oh, by the way they would be picking the other pizza up. LOL Not that I care I’m not going to eat it. I’ve just NEVER had a place say they wanted the incorrect food back, ESPECIALLY when the cook said yes, they made a mistake. WOW unbelievable. Anyway I’m certainly hoping they didn’t spit in the food, unfortunately there is NO way to tell with a pizza. I think this is the LAST time we go there.

Ordered a couple of pizzas here. Called the order in and the pizzas were coming out of the oven when I got there. Also, ordered a meatball sandwich. The pizza and sandwich were very good. I like to go to local restaurants and support non-chain places. The restaurant has a good atmosphere for family dine in. I like this place.

Well, unlike what another reviewer says we are SONOT spoiled by great pizza places around here — at least not up here on the Ridge(Chico has a couple of decent places, but I really wish Mary’s would open a place closer to here)… BUT — getting back to Red Lion, I have had there Pizza more than a 15 – 20 times over the past couple of years because they deliver here in Magalia(so I can’t comment on their restaurant). Their pizza is what I would call average for a California pizza — plenty of toppings. Crust is OK, a cut above Dominos, on par with Round Table, but this sure ain’t brick oven quality. The sauce seems designed«not to offend» instead of shooting for being really special at the risk of being«too this» or «too that» for somebody. But when your family wants Pizza, this will work, the kids will probably love it & and its a long ways from being bad. Their is plenty of bad pizza in small towns, Magalia is lucky to have a place with at least halfway decent pizza.

I’m really surprised by some of the comments on here. Red Lion has a special sauce, not tomato paste, that is one of the best Ive had and Ive had pizza all over this country. The crust is great and the people who work there are amazing and quickly learn your name. They also have great specials, such as a free pizza for every 15 you buy. I could go on and on but honestly try this place yourself. Its worth a drive up this direction.

We are spoiled with great pizza joints around here, Red Lion is not one of them. It is mediocre at best. Ive gone there 2 times and I do not plan to ever go there again. Id rather drive to Paradise to get a decent slice.

Not so great. Crust: tastes like out of the box crust. Sauce: tomato paste. Toppings: low quality. That’s it. I’d drive to Chico for Pizza before going here again!

The pizza is appallingly greasy, but no moreso than any of the major chains like Domino’s. The prices are really good, but I recommend takeout because the ambiance is kind of dirty. Much cheaper than other places with food just as good gets three stars from me.

I really dislike this place, I have given i chance after chance the past few years. I would rather not eat here but it does have some arcade games and pool so at times it might be the only place to really hang out in Magalia. The prices are about alright but the food just doesnt live up to it, very greasy and kinda on the creepy side when you look at the pizza you might think it plans to eat you. But people do come back so something must be alright with it.
