This place charging extra if you don’t meat minimum. I order 2 glass of wine and waiters annoyingly every 5 minutes ask me if I want more. I didn’t eat(guilty of me) so charge was extra to meet the minimum!!! Music was ok singer very talented and try to entertain audience but all is more talk than music with long pause between plays. I wish that i spent evening in Vines bar at dr Philips. I will never come again for sure. I pay for 2 glass of ordinary wine $ 50.0.

The atmosphere is mysterious, dark and passionate. A good place to grab a small bite to eat, network and just relax from a long week and/or day. My boyfriend drinks the reisling wine and always get the chicken and waffles, he is black so you know how it is. I always order the shrimp and grits. The 1st time it was delicious and the 2nd time it was ‘so so’ but at least the atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back again.

Love this place! Bands are great, the ambiance is amazing. The service is always good, Lydia does a great job at never keeping you waiting no matter how full the place is. The food is great I haven’t had anything in the menus I haven’t liked.

ABSOLUTELYFANTASTICENTERTAINMENT! This was my first time to Jazz Tastings, a small and intimate venue in a non-descript strip mall. I was kind of surprised that there were only about 15 – 20 tables, a small bar and stage inside. We were sat quickly and our waiter was fabulous, recommending multiple amazing bottles of wine. We settled in with our wine and ordered the lobster bisque and goat cheese criostini. Lobster bisque had great flavor, but was luke warm and only had 3 pieces of lobster. Goat cheese criostini was super underwhelming and blah. Charcuterie plate was great as was the wild berry bread pudding and Irish coffee. The entertainment started at 8 and from the get go I was blown away by Olivia’s voice and the house band. They did an amazing job interacting with the crowd and making it fun! They did everything from Etta James to Norah Jones and a little Bob Marley. We will definitely be back! Tip: bring cash as the band has a tip jar and doesn’t accept cards.

First time here tonight and I am WOWED! What a great establishment! The service(Liz) was top notch, food and house wine are all fabulous! Very laid back and classy! Came for Wine down Wednesday and they had $ 6 tapas as well as a live jazz band. We also got the pecan bread pudding for dessert which was to die for! I am so happy to have found this place. Great for a date night! We will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!

A lovely night out on town! The service is a bit slow, but the atmosphere is perfect and the food is to die for. The restaurant is small and cozy, very clean with great mood lighting. The music is incredible, it was great to hear a mix between modern and classic jazz. Try the chicken and waffles! It will change your life!

This place is small but really adorable. The seats were comfortable and even though the tables were close you weren’t bombarded. The food was amazing and the wine was delicious. That staff was great and very helpful. We were not sure about which wine to get and they offered us samples and they were spot on. The music though… It was just spectacular! I love jazz music and this place was just so much fun! We went on a night that Olyvya kelly was singing and her voice was just out of this world.

I love taking friends to Jazz Tastings. The atmosphere is laid back and sophisticated. The music is always great. Go on a night that Olyvya Kelly is performing. Her voice is amazing and she engages the audience. Overall, she’s a great performer. The small plates can be a bit pricey, but I think you’re paying for the upscale atmosphere. Best place for live jazz/R&B/neo-soul in the Orlando area. The venue isn’t very large, so you may have to wait in between the evening shows to get room for a group of 4 or more. Depending on when you arrive and the crowd, you may have to stand awhile before being seated. I was told the owners are from Harlem. They are very personable, and they have been there working every time I’ve been there.

My wife and I stopped here on the way home from dinner to check it out. She decided to have one glass of house red wine. I had diet coke. We ordered our drinks and asked for the bill. It came out to $ 40. So now we know there is a $ 10 cover charge and two drink minimum. If we planned to stay this would have been okay but for one drink this leaves a bad taste. This should be more clear to newcomers.

I consider myself a good reviewer of the grand majority of places I’ve visited, and I’ve traveled all across North America and savored the many cuisines. Thus saying, I am a great lover of food and even more importantly; I love having dinner parties. Jazz Tastings was a place I wanted to try in Central Florida since earlier this year, so when a Unilocal deal came along, Bry and I jumped at the opportunity to go and we wore our dancing shoes. Three things really stood out to me. First, I’d placed a reservation on Unilocal for their only seating at 8pm– even though we left out early, around 6pmish– we decided we would savor Maitland. At 6:30 pm we arrived at Jazz Tastings and it was empty except for two tables by the bar area– if you were to trip over the doorway you’d fall onto someone’s table. Perhaps an expansion is in the works, thus saying, no dancing at Jazz Tastings. Secondly, we booked a reservation through Unilocal which is a reputable site and a user friendly site– I love that we can share our adventures with each other. The bartender states, «We never book reservations through Unilocal– we don’t book through Unilocal» while he’s looking for our names on a list at the bar. When I show him the e-mail confirmation and the site, he says, «let me make a phone call». After this call he tells me that they don’t book through Unilocal and by the time I booked the confirmation, they were filled by 2 pm. Meanwhile the Manager who was polishing the glasses never apologized and kept doing what she was doing. We were notified by the bartender that we could sit at the bar. Bry wanted to order the Kobe Beef Sliders and the Steak Bruschetta– I liked the chips that came with the sliders and Bry liked the sliders, which he said to the manager and she said nothing. We both agreed that the Bruschetta wasn’t anything to brag about– the cut of meat was tender and juicy, as it was a filet but overwhelmingly fell short because of the balsamic, very sweet and abundant. Lastly, we love wine and we have some popular favorites. Their wine list is very extensive yet did not include 3 major players but the bartender was more than happy to give us a tasting of some of their populars, which I really liked yet I read on the menu that Wednesday and Thursdays were happy hour which again wasn’t honored at all. At the bottom of the menu it states that to dine, you MUST spend $ 15 per person per table. Jazz Tastings fell very short and I felt as though the business was only about the business financial portion of running an establishment. Loaded tables, over priced TAPAS and not honoring their own happy hour. After 2 Tapas, 2 drinks and no jazz we decided it was time to go. They did honor the Unilocal deal, surprisingly they were happy to take our money. Overall not a place I’d return to nor recommend and I’m a big lover of jazz, I honestly wanted to enjoy the experience.

Food is very very good. I came on Sunday for brunch. I would recommend you not to come at noon because the place is empty. More people starts coming around 3:00pm. The food is delicious and service is nice. I came right at noon and I couldn’t enjoy the Jazz because there wasn’t a band playing, I am a little disappointed about that. Although I will definitely come back for night time to check the music, which is originally what I came for.

The ambiance was great, the staff was friendly. However the staff forgot about us several times. Keep in mind that it is tapas, so it’s smaller portions, but they charge as thought you received a large portion. Also my last complaint is that they charged my friend for refills for nestle ice tea… Really $ 6 for two glasses of nestle ice tea ridiculous. Next time I come, if I come back, I will eat before I come I am still hungry… But the entertainment was great

We went on a Wednesday evening. While the live music was just okay, the lead singer Jackie Jones was very interactive and entertaining. The tapas were a bit overpriced, but very tasty. We had a couple of flatbreads, the crab cakes, and beef sliders. Highly recommend the beef sliders! The venue and ambience were awesome. An intimate space with ample seating, exposed brick, and nice artwork. Would return for a special occasion.

This is a small place. I love jazz and had been wanting to come and check this place out. They don’t have happy hour here; however, on a particular day of the week, I think Wednesday, they have specials. It’s pretty pricey, not somewhere I’d go on a regular basis. I did enjoy the wine and the tapas. The music wasn’t bad either. Our server was good and atmosphere was nice.

The music, the ambiance at Jazz Tastings is awesome. My friend and I went on Tuesday night, it wasn’t very busy and we got to pick where we wanted to sit. The service was awesome! We had a good server who really took the time to explain the menu and the wines. He suggested the Malbec Altosur wine which is a smooth red wine. We tried the steak and tomato bruschetta and it was great. The steak used is filet so it was very tender, soft and full of flavor. The place itself is small and cute; if you are a jazz music lover you will appreciate the music which is live. The server also informed us that they have wine down Wednesday with a lot of special priced appetizers and wine. One thing that people should know, this place serves Tapas size appetizers and only serves wine and beer. There is no liquor. The prices are steep in my opinion but if you get the Unilocal special($ 10.00 for $ 20.00 worth of food) you will not be disappointed. I can’t reiterate enough the place is good, the music is good and the service is good. I recommend Jazz Tastings to anyone who loves jazz and wine.

Seriously one of my favourite places in Orlando, Great ambiance, great food & amazing music! If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. Small place, so I recommend making reservations prior to coming here, it’s usually a full house. Food service is a bit on the slower side, but you get so entertained that you don’t notice!(Unless you’re really hungry hehe)

Not at all what we expected. Based on prior reviews and our propensity to enjoy a quiet place with entertainment and good food the wife and I stopped by on New Years eve around 7 pm. We were expecting that they might be full on such as an occasion but decided to give it a go. Once inside the door we were pleasantly surprised there were several tables open. The hostess then greeted us and then asked if we had reservations, which we did not. Upon being informed it was reservation seating on New Years Eve, 6 — 8 pm and them 9 — 11 pm we asked if we could be seated at one of the empty tables to have cocktails and enjoy the entertainment until 8 pm, which I now assume they would ask all sitting patrons to leave so they could prepare for the 9 — 11 seating. After shown to a table and provided a menu we informed our server(?) we were there for cocktails only. When the server left the table the hostess pulled her into the kitchen. She then emerged a minute later and informed us there was a $ 30 per person cover charge if we only wanted to order cocktails. What? And then we would have to leave with the other patrons present in 1 hour so you can prepare for the 9 pm seating? Needless to say we left, then had cocktails and a superb Thai combo appetizer on Park Avenue, then dinner, and finally closed out our New Years early, all on Park Avenue. Each establishment greeted us well, served us well, just as we expected. I was hoping Jazz Tastings would be something quite different than what we experienced and had been looking forward to it.

The food, wine and ambiance were top notch! We had a reservation and got there early which I highly recommend if you want to sit inside. We had purchased the $ 20 deal on Unilocal and did the check in for the free glass of wine. There was only one server and she was clueless regarding both deals. The food was amazing. My boyfriend doesn’t eat calamari and he actually ordered two plates of it. The cheese and fruit was perfect with the wine. After having the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles we had to try the bread pudding. That was the best bread pudding I’ve had. As for the music we didn’t know what to expect and the group turned out to be solid musicians and never missed a beat. Kind of worried about having to listen to a singer all night but she was great and made the experience perfect. We will definitely come back for the music and food. One note about service. If you have the deals check your bill before you give your card. They overcharged and didn’t take the deal off then had to void my card and run it again. And only one waitress the service was a bit slow.
