Great sandwiches, great lemonade (Pineapple) great attitude. The owner/​Chef does a great job for local’s and tourist. Currently my favorite food truck on island!

YUM! YUM! YUM!
This was a restaurant dot com find! It was about a 10 – 15 min drive from Paia near the Pineapple Tours. It was raining out, but they are located under a huge tree and have a covered seating area.
I ordered the Hawaiian plate which was a pulled chicken, pulled pork, salad, and rice. The meats were incredible juicy and tendered and sprinkled with bbq sauce, loved the homemade salad dressing and the seasoning on the rice. They make their own pineapple salsa, YUM! I also tried their pineapple lemonade which was just okay, not very sweet, not very sour.
Prices are very reasonable and service was great, they treat you like family and love to chat away with their customers.

My wife and I are vegetarians. We were pretty skeptical about this place. but the veggie wrap here is amazing ! Definitely recommend.

We absolutely love staff Julie & Steve! Hawaii BBQ plate is their signature dish and it’s absolutely delicious! A must go destination whenever you’re in Maui.

WOW! We just came here after our Maui Downhill bike ride!!! I ordered the BBQ plate and my husband got the French Toast. He loved the French toast and felt it was better than you could get at any brick and mortar restaurant! We LOVED the BBQ plate. The BBQ pork was some of the best I’ve ever had and their BBQ sauce is sooo tasty! The chicken was relish and rice was perfect! I loved the candied almond slivers in the salad too. The service was awesome and the gals are so friendly. We also got iced vanilla lattes that were so refreshing!

Jeeze, Where to I begin?
Kama Hele catered our wedding about a month ago on Maui. As my now-​wife is from Makawao and we were assembling a pretty diverse group of main-​landers, our goal was to find food that was endemic, reflective of the local food culture, fun, and adventurous. Kind of a tall order for a wedding, and definitely not typical wedding fare.
Julie, Stephen, and their crew executed flawlessly on all points, from accessibility and quick communication, to absolutely incredible food, bar service, and really going the extra mile in recognizing the special occasion. I seriously could not have imagined the food any executing better– and it’s worth taking note that all of this was primarily organized across a 6 hour time difference.
They prepared and served a 3 course meal without a hitch– prepping appetizers, entrees, and deserts while accommodating special requests, running an open bar, and offering Shave Ice as people wanted. I work in the food industry, and there’s a real dynamism present on this team that separates them apart from most of what I’ve seen in the business. They work together wonderfully and that atmosphere really translates into the overall experience.
I seriously couldn’t reccomend them more– and not just quick lunch on your way through Hali’iMaile, or at the end of the bike tour. Definitely get food with them if you’re doing these things, but seriously– go out of your way for this place. It’s worth it. (plus, They’re located right outside of the Hali’iMaile Distillery– also an excellent place worth checking out). If you have an event you need catered, they should at the top of your list.

Stopped for a quick bite and found wonderfully fresh, tasty, delicious lunch. The fish tacos were just the right combination of flavors along with rice and perfectly dressed salad. Bullet proof coffee topped it all out perfectly. Wished we had time to try the shave ice

The staff was extremely nice and the food was great. They catered at a friend’s wedding and they were very helpful and made the night wonderful! Would definitely recommend!

The food was fulfilling and simple, nothing crazy. The best part of my experience was that great service and friendly human beings bringing good times.
If you want a fun wedding, go here for all your food needs!

Stopped by after a Maui Downhill trip. Had a great breakfast and to my surprise, they had BULLETPROOF coffee! We got up at 2 AM so I didn’t have a chance to make my morning bulletproof coffee, so this made my day!

Found this Gem while visiting the glass gallery next door. I had the veggie wrap it was perfection!!! Came with hummus and veggies in a delicious slaw also accompanied by amazing candied almonds. Really didn’t expect much ordering a veggie wrap but I’m truly impressed! Will be back! Friendly fast service as well :)

So happy we drove here from Lahaina to eat. Easy to find under a huge tree across from the general store. The girls we so nice and helpful. My husband and I ordered their pork breakfast burrito containing cheese, shredded pork, cabbage, cilantro, a faintly sweet BBQ sauce (I think) and homemade salsa. It was delicious! Loved the crunch of the cabbage. Also ordered a Kama Coffee Frappé which was a blended mocha with just enough sweetness. The food and staff exceeded my expectations. Thank you for everything guys! Will definitely be back on our next visit!

Excellent and fresh we had the papaya chicken perfection me at the chicken catsuit lunch and the pork sliders. Who make their own kombucha which was wonderful And the bulletproof coffee was excellent as well.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars to this place. This was the best stop we made on our vacation! Such an awesome location! They have a cute picnic area under a beautiful Banyan tree to sit and eat or enjoy coffee. There is also a glass blowing gallery on the property as well a a distillery.
We had the fish tacos and pork sliders. Both were absolutely delicious! We wanted to try everything on the menu… We also had a shave ice and a maui buzz coffee. Omg yum!!!. The service was awesome. Everyone was so friendly and sweet. Definitely check this place out anytime you are up country or on your way to Hana!!!

After my wife saw this new place on Unilocal,she recommended we go check it out as there are approximately zero low-​cost options to eat in Hali’imaile. Plus if the place turned out to be good we could stop there on our way to work for food and coffee.
Kama Hele Café turned out to be great! I had a Kalua Pork BBQ Sandwich that was fantastic. The bread was harder than the usual brioche bun I am used to, but that just meant the sandwich stayed together much more easily and I didn’t make a huge mess. The salad that came with it also had some local orange tomatoes that had really great flavor.
Since I wanted to scout out the coffee I also had them make me a hot americano with two shots of espresso in it. Since there wasn’t any milk or sugar in there I could taste the espresso by itself and it was wonderful. I had a bit of a sore throat and the hot americano soothed it quite nicely.
The menu here is a bit scattered, but that is understandable with them only being open two weeks as of this review. Everything on the menu looked great though and I cannot wait to get back under the awesome tree they are parked under.
As a bonus, their unofficial mascot Jake the bulldog was super friendly to us as soon as we walked up. As they said he is their best customer service and I have to agree.

Stopped by looking for an affordable lunch and coffee and this was the perfect place. Under a leafy canopy with a sweet little dog named Jake keeping us company, we got the kalua pork poutine, the Kalua pork sandwich, two coffees and ended up the meal with a rainbow shave ice.

So good, even though it didn’t have cheese curds and used shredded cheese was still so amazing. It had a ton of Kalua pork on it with half an avocado on top with cheese, onions, gravy, and hot sauce all over an enormous amount of perfectly cooked, crunchy fries.
Lots of people watching since this is right off the path of people walking between The General Store and the glass blowing place. Good place to bring your dog and just hang out with a coffee and of course a poutine for each of you because you definitely won’t want to share.

Great food. Location is great. My wife and I came after the mountain riders bike ride down Haleakala. Great location. I had a cup of coffee and the pork nachos. Pretty good food for a food truck. Paia has some great food options and is pretty close as well.
I think if you are on a tour of Haleakala, I would suggest trying this place out. Prices are reasonable.

I just had me a kalua pork taco topped with ripe mango onion with fresh salad green with sweetened walnut. I scarf’d it down too fast coz it was so good. 2 thumbs up on Hazelnut latte. Thanks u guys. And with great company too, Jake.
