Thought this place was awful. Rolls were loosely rolled and pretty flavorless. You know it’s bad when they offered to replace my order and I declined. Feh.

The head of chef is owner of sushi restaurant, the guy name’s ken chen .He is cheap to employee and black boss used to dirty dinner tissue to wrap the fish which is from people all of u ! Those fish then come to ur food! Including nasal mucus, saliva etc anything thing u can image. People don’t go there eat anymore!

We came here a few times and the food was quite good. We recommended to a few friends as well. But… recently we were passing by and saw a chef smoking a cigarette out front, by the door on Mamaroneck Ave. For this — we cannot bring ourselves to go back. Am I being to harsh?

This place is a little pricey. The staff was friendly, but again not the best value

Very good sushi but they are getting 1 star for customer service. Just tried ordering some dinner to go and they made a big deal about making a substitution even though I wanted to pay for the difference($ 3-$ 4). I guess they got greedy as they wanted me to pay an $ 8 difference(for picking out an $ 11 roll instead of a $ 7 one). I walked out… Not cool Zenzo Sushi, not cool at all!

This review is about the lunch service and it was great. The waitress was very attentive and fast. The lunch special is what brought me in great deal on the sushi, 3 rolls with soup or salad and a appetizer egg roll and other snack which i didnt know the name of with sauces totaled 15 bucks cant beat it! Also they had japanese soda which i love so that was cool. All in all great lunch spot for the specials, sushi was good, and service was on point.

Have eaten here a few times and can never complain about the food. The rock shrimp was great, and served in a little martini glass. I had a specialty roll called the«fortune roll» that was shrimp tempura with mango and avocado and deep fried that was awesome. Good mix of normal sushi rolls and specialty rolls.

I’ve never been overly impressed with Zenzo, both as far as food quality and service go– but last night made it firm in my mind that I would never be their customer again. My previous orders with them have always arrived late, but this was something else. I ordered dinner via Unilocal. As I didn’t get a confirmation number, my boyfriend called a few minutes later to confirm that our order was received. The hostess he spoke to confirmed that it had been. Ok, great! We were given the time frame of 45 – 60 mins for delivery. An hour later, my food hadn’t arrived yet. I only live a 3 minute drive from the restaurant, but delivery people can never find my house. So, my boyfriend calls again. The hostess tells him that our food is on it’s way to us right then. Another 30 minutes go by, and our food still hasn’t arrived. I call– at which point the hostess completely denies that we ever had an order! She even lies and says she never spoke to my boyfriend. Pretty sure that’s not true, as she said she was the only hostess and there’s certainly not two Zenzo Sushi’s in town! She claimed to only get one Unilocal order in, and it wasn’t ours– a) that shouldn’t matter, as we called right after, so all info was also verbally confirmed and b) she had the info at the ready when we called, so she clearly HAD received it! Basically, at some point she dropped the ball in doing her job. Since she was not being helpful at all, I asked to speak to a manager. Her response? To tell me «that won’t help», to yell at me, and then to hang up on me! I called back, a male voice answered, and the phone was given to another man when I asked to speak to a manager. First, the hostess was right– this supposed manager didn’t seem to give a crap how poorly his staff treated customers. Secondly, he just talked in a circle about the order not coming through via Unilocal, talking over me and refusing to listen to the fact that we had called it in as well and that we had spoken to the hostess twice regarding our order. It was like talking to a brick wall, but dumber. Eventually I just got off the phone, because clearly this wasn’t going anywhere and I was now starving. My recommendation: there’s numerous other sushi restaurants right on the same strip. Choose one of them.

Zenzo is my go-to restaurant for sushi in Westchester. Good quality and prices. Can’t recommend the peanut avacado roll enough!

The food was good, yet the service was mediocre at best. I got the seafood Tom yum soup which was delicious but the server didn’t know what whiskey on the rocks meant. She asked us to get up from our seats and go to the bar to show her what we meant. The server also never came to our table during our meal to ask us how our experience/food was. Therefore, we were left with no water to drink with our meal. There were only 3 tables in the restaurant too.

One of our favorite spots closed down, so as we were strolling down the strip, we noticed Zenzo. Walked in and immediately seated towards the back of the dining room. Though it was hot and humid tonight, the much needed AC felt good and refreshing. But 5 minutes in, and trying to decide what to have for dinner, I instantly fell chill all around me. I asked to be seated elsewhere and our server obliged. The new spot felt a lot better. We started with a salad and Miso soup, then worked our way up to an entrée and a sushi platter– Our sever was pleasant. I Would like to go back and try their Lunch sushi.

Stopped by on a Saturday night while exploring the area. First impression was that the menu was a little pricey, but I’m comparing this to «home», so the prices may be in line with the local economy. Sushi ala cart is one piece per order. The décor was very cool, the walls are lined with Chinese moveable type blocks. The service was very good, though the place was mostly empty. May have been due to it being Memorial Day Weekend. I suppose most folks were grilling in the back yard? The sushi was very good. We ordered a sushi entrée, and a couple of extra rolls. The nigiri was much larger than expected(which is appropriate for the price.) The rolls were also very large. The spicy rolls were good, not too spicy, just right. All together, we dropped a little over $ 30 each, which is about normal for us, even back home. I would give these folks a solid 4.5 stars. Everything was very good!

My pic for sushi in the area. Cheap, good, and always fresh. Love the white tuna rolls. The salmon rolls here kick butt too. The sushi is simply a cut above the rest on the street(pun intended). The cooked food is good here too, but I come for the rolls.

Solid. Yes, it’s Chinese sushi but in this case, they have their act together. Miso was good if uninspiring(yes, how can anyone make miso inspiring). Rock shrimp app was tasty with a nice salad underneath. Sashimi salmon was fresh, good size cuts, sushi tuna also played well. Great clean taste on both. Great Mamaroneck roll was very nicely flavored combing several favorites. We ordered a couple favorite spicy scallop handrolls with tempura flakes: nice job. I recommend this place. Nice atmosphere, big room, a little dark but not bad. Not a fishy piece on the plate.

Hot diggity, this is some legit sushi! I am no expert but I can tell if I’m being served with subpar, average, or good sushi. Anything above the good area would be labeled as friggin’ fantastic fish. And oh my, Zenzo have some friggin’ flippin’ fantastic fish! It’s a king’s quality with practically a peasant’s price tag. I swear, the luxurious meal I had here made me a hedonist. On with the merriment and don’t stop until you had enough. Well, go on anyway and pack a doggy bag… The stellar sushi, the lovely employees, the unique drinks… Oh dear… You’ve ruined me! Why must you be so delicious?!(cue in the salivation) Damn it.

In a sea of competitors, Zenzo is truly the best. Everything was top-notch, from the food to the service to the ambiance to the beverages. I handled quite a bit of fish in my lifetime and I can definitely say Zenzo’s sushi quality is amazing. It is incredibly delicious and most importantly, astoundingly fresh! I can get greedy and do not know which few lucky rolls will get to visit my belly so you can imagine how tough it was for me to choose from their signature rolls page! Thankfully I was here with a friend so we managed to order several choices and we were very satisfied. And fyi, our tea and water glasses were never empty since the server was very attentive. Super satisfied! It’s safe to say Zenzo is the gem of Mamaroneck and I am so, so, SO happy to discover this treasure!

Stopped in for lunch and a first time visit to this restaurant. Admittedly it was a quiet weekday, and the pace was just fine as we were not in a rush. Ambience was very nice for this style of restaurant — open concept with relaxing background music and comfortable seating. We started with the Ginger Duck Roll — shredded Peking Duck wrapped in a light flaky wrap with spicy mayo, and a sesame and balsamic glaze. Pan seared and 100% yummy. Then we moved on to some rolls — tuna rolls, and the signature Dragon Roll(toasted eel). All were well made, featured the ingredients(and not the rice) and were generous portions. All around winner — food, ambience, service.
