Grabbed a turkey sandwich for the road trip back to LA — wasn’t expecting too much but my wife and I both loved it. Sandwich was huge and reasonably priced and perfectly seasoned — no need for condiments. Nice work — will be back!

You can tell that the people at Sierra Sundance care about and take pride in what they do! They carry the best health care products and food and make some amazing sandwiches and bowls! All of the people there are very kind and helpful and treat you like a friend.

So many cool things that you won’t find anywhere else in the area. Fresh organic fruits and veggies at a decent price, also the employees usually remember me and greet me by name, such a small detail that often means so much to me!

This is a great store in Mammoth! Great quality selection. Better value for money than Von’s!

GF vegan sandwich was absolutely amazing! Everything was so fresh and delicious. I wanted to buy everything in the store. Perfect stop to pick up lunch and go adventuring! Can’t recommend enough! They also have salads and non-vegetarian sandwiches. Yum yum yum!!!

Way overpriced. It’s great to have natural and healthy options, but this place makes Whole Foods look like the Dollar Store.

Small but has the best quality produce in town, lots of organic options, and a great bulk section. They have excellent grab and go veggie sandwiches and really helpful, friendly staff.

Excellent selection for a smaller store. Seems like all brands consciously chosen. Thank goodness for this place! You can easily get all of your groceries here and skip the GMO assault at Von’s!

I love this place! I am one of those gluten-free/dairy-free freaks out there. This is my nirvana and my first stop upon arrival into Mammoth. I love all of the chocolates and fresh produce. They also have a wide selection of gluten-free breads. I was also impressed by the selection of specialty meats: lamb, elk, grass-fed beef. You can also create your own blend of loose-leaf teas and infusions here.

A great little health food store located next door to the Looney Bean in Mammoth. They have local coffee beans and bread. Lots of great products to stock up on for healthful hiking snacks. I raided the kombucha fridge for my early morning fix.

So glad to have a convenient local spot to grab a healthy and delicious sandwich and a kombucha. The staff is friendly and knowledgable; they always help me when I need to find something. The owners are always around, and are also very helpful. This is such a gem for the eastern sierra!

There is something extremely satisfying about eating a big sandwich — jam-packed with vegetables — lovingly placed between two pieces of bread. Sierra Sundance Whole Foods delivered on an absolutely sensational sandwich. It was freshly made with carrots, spinach, cucumber, tomato, pickles, and other veggie deliciousness. The bread was gluten free. In addition to carrying some excellent pre-made sandwiches and items — Sierra Sundance carries bulk items like trail-mix, nutritional yeast etc, Harmless Harvest coconut water(I believe that they may be the only place in town that does), kombucha, and a wealth of other magical healthy items. Both times that I stopped in here, their staff were exceptionally helpful and the store was very well stocked and easy to navigate. Mammoth Lakes is blessed to have this bountiful healthy gem. Trust.

This store is so clean and organized, well-stocked and willing to do special orders. Their produce is all organic, sometimes local, and often comparable to what you might pay at vons. This is a good place to go if you want to avoid the madness that is the main grocery store. The service is great. I love that they feature locally-made products — cookies and other goodies from the East Side Bake Shop and Mimis, and bread from Stella Moss out of Lee Vining. Seriously, try Stella’s bread — you’ll be so happy you did!

I love Sierra Sundance. The staff is very knowledgeable, they carry local products, and they are well stocked. I have even made a few special orders that they were able to help me with. If you are looking for a great, local shop with fresh food and amazing natural products, come to Sierra Sundance.

This place is a real savior in Mammoth Lakes. I’m pretty impressed with what they carry given the size of the store and the prices are reasonable. The only other store is really Von’s which is a real zoo and doesn’t carry much food that didn’t come out of a petrochemical plant.

Love this store– It is the closest thing to Whole Foods that you can find anywhere in this valley. It is in a great location and you can see it from the street. They have a pretty good selection of organic foods and produce. It is not a big store but they do their best. They have a great selection of spices which is awesome because I love organic spices. Some of the items are higher in price but I don’t care. Being able to avoid Vons is great and getting personal service is even better. Give this place a try and keep the small mom and pop stores alive.

I am really grateful for a store I can purchase wholesome, organic foods at, but as a price-watcher, I have noticed some of their prices are much more for the same exact product than in the VONS just down the street(VONS does have organic selections). For example, the unsweetened almond milk(same exact size and Blue Diamond brand) is $ 3.29 at VONS and $ 5.29 at Sierra Sundance! I was annoyed when I had gone to VONS and discovered this discrepancy AFTER I had purchased it from SSWF. Their G.T. Kombucha is priced at $ 4.45 and just go down the street to VONS for the same exact product at $ 3.30ish. It’s crazy. However, on the good note, they also have some(very few though) items that are CHEAPER than in a larger city like Las Vegas(where I live some of the time) — and I won’t mention them now because I don’t want them to mark it up. The eggs are comparable and reasonable. I’m not sure but it seems they don’t carry or support a lot of local — I saw local Kombucha, but I could be wrong and they may have other items supplied locally. The bottom line is, if you keep your prices low, I’ll buy a LOT more from you. Mark them up, and I’ll find alternatives. The staff seem nice there — a bit quiet; the store is clean, they have sandwiches, salads and pre-made items for those on-the-go, they have a small bulk-food section and they also have organic wines for those interested in that. They have a great gluten/wheat free section, still on the pricier side. I’ll keep coming here for certain things until the prices get that far out of hand! :) I do prefer to support smaller, independent businesses but wish they would look out for the consumer and their local suppliers as well.

Glad to see there’s a whole foods market here in Mammoth. It’s very hard to find good healthy foods in the major grocery store here. You can find stuff, but you have to look hard up and down the aisles. At Sundance, you have everything from meat, some fresh farm veggies, environmentally friendly laundry detergent, to organic spices, snacks, vitamins, etc. However, you do have to know what you’re looking at on a label as everything isn’t completely whole or healthy. Some have high sugar, carbs, fat content, soy, gluten etc but everyone has to pick their own food battles. If you know a lot about how to pick the healthiest stuff, you will be just fine here. It’s just nice to know if you really want to stick with organic and whole, you have this place as an option to the major chain store.

Not very impressed I guess because this is the only natural foods store around it will do. Very overpriced. Where I’m from things cost about a $ 1 less.easily. The bulk section had some decent finds. like brown rice noodles. The problem is that the woman at the cash register puts in whatever code she wants and charges you up the a$$. Since you can’t write the plu number on anything she seems to take a guess and happens to charge you for the most expensive version of the product… unless you happen to be watching closely. She also charged me $ 25 for about 1 cup of lentils… umm…lady wake up. I had to have to fix that… and was amazed that was not a red flag to her. Anyway… its fine if you need a quick organic apple… but watch that cashier…
