I went to Smokeyard BBQ and Chop Shop in Mammoth Lakes for dinner and ordered the Smokeyard Hamburger. If you like big burgers this is a great choice, as it had a perfectly grilled thick patty with plenty of flavor topped thin cut bacon, tomato, grilled mushrooms, fried onion strings. and aged white cheddar. Bring your appetite, and it helps if you can unhinge your jaw as this burgers stands about 6 inches tall. We were lucky to have Garrett as our waiter as he was very friendly and gave us the recommendation for the burger and great service. The next time you are in Mammoth Lakes, definitely check this place out!

So me and my girl went on a vacation to this resort thats literally built on top of this restaurant. As soon as we got there we started looking for places to eat. Most of them are closed at 9pm but this one wasn’t. It cought are eye because of the reviews it had. And OMG! it was one of the best restaurants ive been to. As soon as you walk in your greeted by a nice lady at the waiter we had was amazing. I forgot her name but she was the kind of short thin girl that walks really fast. Over all experience was 10⁄10. –Make sure to order the (Shrimp appetizer) (Mashed potatoes appetizer) (Pulled pork sandwich) (Corn with jalapeño) ANDASKFORTHEREBBQSAUCEONTHESIDEITWILLLOOKLIKE A PINKCOLOR!

Best restaurant in mammoth! They have a great staff and awesome food! Very friendly, great environment for any occasion. The ribs, filet, ribeye and burger are out of this world. Every dish has great flavor. If you’re looking for good, fresh food and friendly faces this is the place to go!

If you’re in the Village this place is a must. They have a great happy hour, and the food is never anything short of amazing. Garrett, and the rest of the staff, are always super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.

The food is good, but our server Joey was outstanding. Only in town for a couple days but we came back twice because of him. Really made our dining experience a great pleasure. Thank you! I’ll be back next time

This place is AMAZEBALLS!!! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I ordered the rib eye, the chicken, the tri tip, and the ribs… All were cooked to perfection and served at the exact right time. The rib eye was melt in the your mouth tender, cooked exactly to medium rare, and THEBEST rib eye I’ve ever had. Joey, our server, was a phenom. He was there with what we needed as if he was a Jedi mind reader. Super attentive, passionate and knowledgeable. Ask for him when you come in! Anthony was also a pleasure to deal with. Hats off to everyone here… They truly are something special…

Had an amazing experience and an out of this world rib eye here!!! Many places don’t get the temp right since I always order rare but this came out perfectly. Not to mention we had a really awesome guy greet and take really good care of us. I think his name was Christian. Really cool guy. Great meal. Great atmosphere. Great food. Definitely recommend.

Great food, customer service. Our waitress was awesome. My husband and I shared the pork chops as the portion was very generous and we both got our own sides. One thing I was disappointed in their Moscow mules are not served in a copper mug! I’m sorry but you need to get the copper mugs and just have people leave their driver license at the bar if your worried of theft. Other bars we frequent down in the OC do this.

My family of five just had dinner and we had a great experience. Vibe is casual. Great food options for young kids. My husband and I got the wings and rack of ribs to share. We got the wings dry rub with sauces on the side — Oh my gosh! Sooo delicious! These should always be eaten this way! Our waiter told us the wings are smoked, not fried. Seriously the best wings ever. Ribs and slaw were good too. Joey, our waiter, was very helpful and nice. He was welcoming and warm and great about helping us making choices we’d be happy with. You can tell he makes a special effort to be nice and make people feel at home — it really shows that he takes pride in what he does and it made our dining experience not just good but excellent. So happy we decided to have our last dinner in Mammoth here. Hopefully we will be back again soon!

Wish I could say the food was great but it was just ok. Our server was great and very attentive, but our food was mediocre. We had wings, a burger, and the baby back ribs with original sauce. Again, it was OK but it wasn’t really satisfying, especially for being a bbq joint. I will say, the meat fell right off the bones, but the flavors were just lacking a little.

I highly recommend The Smokeyard HaPpY HoUr 3−6pm! If you are there for happy hour you sit in the bar area and can also order off the menu. If you want full menu only you sit on the restaurant side. We had the Bartenders special which was a red sangria for $ 6. We also had the rock shrimp which was really great and highly recommended! Everyone ordered it! We had the fried mozzarella sticks, Mac n cheese w broccoli $ 10, and the BBQ chips. It was all great! The BBQ chips were just okay and I’d skip that one if I had to pick something so so to skip. We also ordered the cornbread $ 4 and it was a big square with butter that I thought was just okay but the fam loved it. We enjoyed this place very much and I recommend their happy hour!

3.5 Stars Located in the Village, Smokeyard is a solid option for comfort food after a long day on the slopes. Like other restaurants in Mammoth, this place is packed during peak season. They don’t take reservations so it’s a good option if you didn’t plan ahead. Most reservation-only places in Mammoth are booked out in advance unfortunately. We arrived early at 5:30 pm, but still had an hour wait for dinner. Luckily, they have a large bar to pass the time. Happy hour specials run from 4 – 6 pm, and you can order food in the bar area. Service was friendly all around. Crispy Rock Shrimp — We devoured this. The shrimp were plump, and the breading was crispy. I was starving, so I probably enjoyed it even more. Spicy Tri-tip Salad — This was essentially a colesaw with generous cubes of tri-tip. I liked the mango habanero flavors. Not a bad dish, though we ordered a side of Peanut Cole Slaw, and I liked that flavor even more. St. Louis Spare Ribs — Half the ribs were juicy and tender, but half were dry. Flavor was good. Corn Bread with Honey Butter — This was a sweet, cake-like corn bread. I loved it. Brussels Sprouts — Slightly undercooked and forgettable. Creamed Corn, Crisp Jalapeño — You can’t wrong with cream, corn, and jalapeños. I liked this side. The food was enjoyable — nothing stood out as amazing, but nothing was bad either. For Mammoth standards, that’s pretty good!

Top notch for all kinds of meat. I had the fish filet and it was around 28 $. They do meats really well if you can get in for a reservation. Luckily enough we were able to have cool frands who knew people who knew the owner, Guy so we were able to get a table. If you dont know people it might take you 2 hours on a weekend night to get a table without a reservation. The service was super friendly and worked really hard and everything was excellent. I think this is the nicest place in the Village. It is pricy too though.

Ehh just okay. It was the only place in the Village that didn’t have a two hour wait on a Thursday night(there is a reason). The food was very expensive. $ 20+ per plate and they actually don’t give you that much food. Usually I am a pretty light eater and we all have leftovers, but we definitely did not have anything to take home after this meal. The meat was pretty good and had a decent flavor, but it was nothing special. Service was great and the waitress was really nice and on top of it even with a packed house. I might go back if I found myself with nowhere else to go.

We stopped by for dinner here on a Friday night, and the place was packed. We arrived at 6:30pm and had a 45 minute wait until we were seated. Given that we were in a ski resort, my expectations were pretty low, but Smokeyard was OK. I had the mixed green salad, which had some pretty fresh greens.(Pretty good considering the location) My entrée was the beef sampler, which had 2 meaty beef ribs and a slice of tri trip. The beef ribs were pretty good, and the sauce was on the sweet side. The tri tip was juicy, but was just OK. The mashed potato side dish was very good. For dessert, we split the macadamia nut fudge brownie, served a la mode, with butterscotch — a very good way to end the meal. Since I’m from the Bay Area, I am completely unqualified to judge BBQ, but I enjoyed the meal, especially considering that I had low expectations since we were in a resort.

The food here is ok… But my last visit here put a bad taste in my mouth. the waiter named joleen waited on us. Il get straight to the point. I normally dont post reviews on waiters unless its really bad and she was pretty bad. Our drinks were empty for a while and i had to ask 3 times to 3 different people for a refill among other things. Joleen’s attitude was not the greatest. You might be having a bad night but act like u r happy atleast when coming to our table. I think she didnt give a sh*t because the tip was already included. Even if thats the case, you should act like you care to your table… If i come back i wont be sitting in her station thats for sure.

My Marathon Man & I arrived approximately around 6:30pm. I had just arrived into Mammoth airport at 5:33pm. I hadn’t eaten a real meal since 12 noon just before Ieft my house to go to LAX. I was hungry to say the least. The owner, Alon, reached out to me after I had responded to the manager, Alexis’ original message to me. I was very impressed that not only did he correspond with me, but he offered to make up for my last experience. We got to the hostess/seating station & were told that there was a 10 min wait, which we didn’t mind. Although, the place didn’t look empty, you can tell they expected to be at capacity that evening. The Village, in which Smokeyard is cradled in, was completely booked for the weekend, due the the Mammoth Half Marathon. We were seated shortly after our 10 minute wait. I let the hostess know that the owner had left a gift certificate for us in the safe. She said she would let the manager know. Our waitress/server was Natalie & she was really nice. She made sure we were taken care of. We ordered side salads & the smoked wings for appetizers. The salads were good, but the dressings were outstanding as they are made fresh in house. The wings were deliciously smoked, had good flavor & spice & slightly crisp, but they were not fried! For dinner my bf ordered the 16 oz. ribeye with sweet potato mash. I ordered the tri tip with steamed broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes & a piece of corn bread with honey butter. The tri tip was good, I have had better. I would have preferred if it were not slice. The broccoli was hot with a good crunchy texture, the mashed potatoes were delicious, but slightly under salted, which I didn’t mind. The corn bread had corn running through it, it was slightly sweet & had a wonderful texture that was crispy outside & soft & buttery inside. It was addicting & I can honestly say the best corn bread I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Our sweet waitress didn’t bring us a bill, but instead informed us that the manager had taken care of our whole meal! I was very surprised & didn’t expect it. I had thought of we were getting a certificate it was for a specific amount & anything over that amount we would take care of. I was really blown away! We still tipped the waitress(over 20%). The waitress was very surprised by our tip, but we always tip fairly & if the service is great, as this was, we tip more. As we were done eating & were relaxing, the owner, Alon, came over to introduce himself. He was very nice, generous & apologetic about our last experience. He explained what happened at the restaurant that weekend. Their chef quit unexpectedly due to too much service, one of their ovens were out & they were short staffed(he typically has 45 – 50 employees). I understood. Things happen, but I was very happy at the ownership of responsibility. There is nothing worse than an owner who doesn’t care about each & every experience. Especially important in a resort town like Mammoth where people come only for vacation or a couple times a year, like my partner & I do. We will definitely be back, in fact we may pay them another visit today for their wings. I’m so happy that our favorite restaurant in Mammoth is how we remember the very first time we went together. This year marks the 3rd year of my Marathon Man running the 3rd year of the Mammoth Half Marathon & his 2nd year completing the San Diego & Mammoth Half Marathon Challenge, so these trips mean a lot to us. Thank you, Smokeyard & Alon for making this trip a great experience for us! Photos to follow tomorrow when I have access to my computer.

Gutes und relativ günstiges(für einen Schiort) Burger– und Grillrestaurant. Die Burger waren OK, frisch gezapftes Bier aus der Umgebung, nette Atmosphäre und gute Bedienung.
