A solid upscale restaurant is the best way to describe this restaurant. The items in the menu might not be the most creative but everything that was ordered is cooked extremely well — from fried oyster appetizer, shrimp & grits, pan seared scallop, kid’s food down to the desserts(loved the banana bread pudding), everything is great. Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

Excellent food and experience. We came in and it was booked because of the theatre, but they found a bar table for us and were very friendly and accommodating. The service was great and quick and the food was amazing. We had some of their happy hour appetizers, the salmon and the crème brûlée. We would definitely come back.

Sad, overpriced food, rude pretentious staff= major fail. Particularly disappointed that the owner Matt wouldn’t have a more customer first attitude. If your looking for a place that should be great but just disappoints go ahead ruin your night and waste your money.

Never been so appalled. Been to the restaurant three times in two years. Two times out of three I didn’t even eat. Two years ago me and my husband(Fiancé then) were looking for places to hold out engagement party so we went in on Friday night to eat dinner no reservations. I asked how long and she said next week lol. I asked if she was serious and she said we’re booked for the night we won’t be able to seat you. Would you like me to make you a reservation next week. They had open tables, I asked her and she said they’re for reservations. I never had a restaurant not allow you to wait for a table. Then gave it another chance because I wanted to try it for my party(made a reservation and waited anyway). Ate dinner and Food was ok but the desert was most memorable because the phylo dough pastry with berries and fresh whip cream was missing the whip cream. Apparently the kitchen staff mixed up the whip cream and butter in pastry bags — so YES my husband, our friend and I all ate a giant bite of butter. I laughed this off and no big deal. Mistake. Called them about getting pricing to do engagement party. No one ever called back, very difficult to deal with staff. I must have called ten times. Finally moved on and went to Firefly down the street for my party. Now two years later I decided to give it a try again with my husband, mother and 6 month old daughter. 430PM I walk in an ask if they are open. They advise yes, I said great table for 3 and we need a high chair. She’s say ok and proceeds to seat us at the bar height table top. I advised her we need a regular table(high chair duh) and she’s says let me check. She’s goes in the back and says sorry we’re not seating anyone in the dining room right now. I politely ask if she can make an accommodation because we have the baby — she goes back in kitchen and says sorry the manager said no. There was no one in the dining room or the entire restaurant. One guy at the bar. Baby unfortunately can’t sit in a bar stool! I said are you sure because we want to have dinner and she says yeah sorry can’t seat you. So we left RIDICULOUS! So weird, I’ve never been to a restaurant that does this. When dining out is this complicated, Ill pass. Poor management and a business that focuses on the wrong details.

My wife and I vacation in Spring Lake every Summer and Remington’s has become are favorite. The new menu was such a refreshing change from the standard Shore menu. Our server(Laura) was very knowledgeable and helpful. She encouraged us to try the Lump crab cannoli and it was out of bounds. The vegan eggplant was excellent and the Day Boat scallops were the best on the shore (maybe anywhere) lookout Whispers there is a new sheriff in town.

If you are seeking upscale dining at the Jersey Shore, then Remington’s is one of the spots! Warm, comfortable atmosphere(I personally prefer the high tops in the bar area), knowledgeable staff, extensive wine list, and excellent food. The menu changes about six times year to feature new seasonal, fresh ingredients. The food quality is very good and preparations are on the unique side, which always makes for a fun dining experience!

Service not very good. Gave me some BS about my reservations not being done within 12 hours. Other than that, the service was excellent. Food this time around was«ok». Hanger Steak and Calamari [a bit chewy]. My previous visit I had The Chilean Sea Bass… Which was excellent.

Made a reservation using open table, specified the dinning room and was told that since I only made the reservation 12 hours before our specified time they couldn’t guarantee our request. We waited 30 minutes for a table then an additional 15 minutes for our server to take a drink order. That being said the four of us thought the food ranged from very good for the salads and appetizers and good for the main course. In regards to the total dinning experience the food did not makeup for the lack of customer service

The friendly/knowledgeable staff coupled with a warm casual atmosphere make you feel right at home. Remington’s is frequented by a solid group of uninhibited guests with nothing to prove, simply relaxing in good company and enjoying the award winning fare/drinks…” Unbelievable cocktails! Ask Mathew and/or Sean about PURITY’s «Barrel Aged Cocktail“program Or simply sample the amazing farm-to-table seasonal food menu… Enjoy.

I recently went to a birthday dinner for a friend at Remington’s in Manasquan and I was reminded of what a wonderful dining experience it is. The atmosphere is upscale, warm and comfortable. The food is beautifully presented, fresh and exciting. Only to be equalled by the staff who are always professional, always helpful and always welcoming. Remington’s was wonderful when it first opened and just keeps getting better and better!

Going to keep this short and sweet. We had the calamari and shrimp rolls for app’s. The calamari was chewy and the spring rolls were good. Nothing special. We had the Buccatini and the Sea Bass for meals– both were very very delicious. Our favorites of the evening. The thing that made our experience so bad were the extremely stiff drinks and the service. Our waitress had four tables and never at one time stopped and paid any attention to us. For the price, it’s just not worth it. Take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of places to eat in Asbury Park, Sea Girt, Toms River, and Brick that easily appreciate your dollars. Pass.

Where do I start? If you’re a martini drinker go here for the martinis alone. There were so many to choose from I was overwhelmed, but went with the seriously dirty martini and it was just the right amount of dirty, with the blue cheese stuffed olives-delish! My husband and I split the arugula salad, which was excellent. We also shared a truffle appetizer, so good. I had the Chilean sea bass and my husband had the New York strip, both were excellent. We cleaned our plates and didn’t leave room for dessert which was a shame since I’m sure it would have been great! The atmosphere is pretty cool, service was phenomenal too, Matt G was our server.

Great waitstaff. Food was very good even though it took awhile between courses. We will definitely be back to see what new offering ’ s they have. Try the pork belly.

My wife and I dined here for Resteraunt week. I had the pork, calamari, and pumpkin cheesecake. My wife had the salmon, salad, and flour less chocolate cake. Everything was delicious. I liked the atmosphere with the metro music and lighting, feels a little like New York. Our server was very helpful. I like the way they show you the bottle when pouring single glasses of wine. Cocktails were well prepared; dirty martini and old fashion. We’ll be back! Updated review, we returned on Wednesday night in the winter and they had a great idea to have a no corkage bring your own wine. My wife and I returned and had a fabulous meal with great service. I had the swordfish and the mussels, just fantastic. My wife had the Brussels sprouts salad which was excellent. Nice guitar player. Kristen was an excellent server. I moved the rating to five stars! We’l be back

Just had dinner here for restaurant week. I have been here several times before and have always been impressed with my meal. Tonight was no exception. My husband really enjoyed the crab beignets and his pork loin was expertly cooked and delicious! I had the chicken and it was moist and delicious as well. The sides were so creative and blended so nicely. For dessert I had the deconstructed pumpkin cheesecake which was awesome!

Yum! The food here is seriously delicious! The place wasn’t crowded at all during out Friday night dinner. We started with the fried calamari, a heaping plate, that came with spicy mayo and hot peppers. I had the clams(on a perfectly creamy bed of corn and couscous) and my husband had the steak with truffle fries. Portions were large but the food was too good not to completely clean our plates. We even somehow managed to polish off a chocolate cake/caramel blondie ice cream sundae for dessert. We left stuffed and happy :)

Finally, a great restaurant in the area. The lighting, the seating, the staff and food were excellent. The lettuce wedge is a must. A nice spin on a classic. Topped with strips of smoked bacon draped over the wedge. This like all the courses were beautifully plated. For an entrée, I had the monk fish, which often can be tough like a lobster tail was flaky and delicious, supported by a bed of caramelized onions surrounded by balsamic undertones. Yum. My wife had the short ribs which were generous and truly spectacular. Our friends had the Chilean Sea bass, the salmon and the filet – all beautifully plated, all delicious. Our plates looked like they came out of the dishwasher – they were cleaned to the porcelain. What I liked about the menu was that the wines were grouped by pricing so you could focus on the wine’s profile, knowing that all the wines in that grouping were the same price. We finished up with a shared dessert – some sort of tower of berries and flaked dough and cream – that was to die for. Services on a Saturday night was a little slow – the kitchen got a little backed up, but the staff was attentive and friendly. It gave us time to relax, talk and enjoy the night.

This is the best mid to upscale spot on Main in Manasquan. Stop in here and grab a few of the really good apps to get started. Friendly bar staff make this a relaxing place to spend the time before your table is ready. This is normally a slightly older crowd than many of the other spots in the area. Live music regularly makes an appearance here and is a nice addition to the evening This one is definitely worth a stop

Long over due for an update and raised to a well deserved(5) stars Remington’s has evolved to one of the best places to dine, or simply just have a libation at the Jersey Shore. Well managed, efficient wait staff and their bar tenders; Sean and Christian all work as a team to take care of your every need while being unobtrusive makes this place special. Whenever someone asks us for a recommendation in the local area we always point them to Remington’s. They also have some very nice specials such as ½ priced bottles of wine and BYO bottle of wine without a corkage fee on certain weekday nights. So by all means do give them visit soon and you will be glad you did.
