Had another wonderful visit today. The owner was beyond helpful and very well informed about wines in general and especislly the wines she carries. This is the second time I have descibed what I was looking for and she has nailed each time. But, if you want to shop and make your own selectionshe gives you all the time and space you need. A wide variety of wines from inexpensive, thru value all the way to unusual, special selections. Not a «grocery store» wine in sight. My «go to» shop for both casual enjoyment and special occasions.

What an AMAZING wine collection! I was like a kid in a candy store! Doug has been there for more than two decades, and knows what he’s talking about. The wines are amazing! Lovely antiques and unpretentious, darling service. We walked away with 3 lovely wine finds… and I think I’ll stock up on our way out!

I love this place! Always new stuff to discover. And the owners are super educated about what they buy/sell. Antiques and a great wine selection.

Love this interesting shop filled with antiques, great wine and great conversation… Clarke, Barbara and Doug are great… my husband went in to get our biweekly supply of wine and couldn’t remember the red that I liked that we got 2 weeks ago… Barbara walked right over and picked it up! I don’t know much about antiques but the wine selection is unique and the prices are great!

Good folks to deal with. Fair prices with a knowledge of what they sell. Clark is a fun auctioneer as well, who does work for Habitat for Humanity

My «go to» spot in southern Vermont for all my wine purchases. Friendly, knowledgeable service and a selection you won’t find in a supermarket. Very competitive price-wise as well. Nice variety of interesting antiques, as well. Oh, yes, regular tastings offer regular try before you buy sessions.

The Comollos are so helpful Clarke is generous with his antique knowledge and has helped me in my collecting. I’ve gotten some great values in furniture there. Barbra knows wines and uses her updated tasting experience to provide an educated and value conscious selection. She ship to our home in NY as well. Love this place and those guys.

We visit my parents in Vermont several times a year and ALWAYS stop at Comollo’s. We have purchased several antiques and schlepped them back to PA because the finds are truly wonderful! Clark and Barbara are incredibly knowledgable and never pushy… truly sweet people… and fun! On the flip side… every time we are in we hit a tasting and get a thoughtful, non-snooty education about what we, invariably, will purchase in abundance. Often we have gone in for a few bottles and have walked out needing assistance with our CASES because the prices are great and Barbara’s choices are consistently superior. Whenever we want to feel like we are home, we head to Comollo’s and just smile…

Barbara Comollo can talk wine all afternoon. I can buy on her recommendation. She has rarely ever let me down. While you’re there the antiques are chosen with a sharp eye. Her husband Clark is a maven.

A great little shop full of treasures and characters. This review is more for the wine part of the store, which shares the same space. Mostly bottles from smaller wine makers that you won’t find at supermarkets or liquor stores. Regular tastings that come with free finger foods, generous pours, and great deals on a bottle(or several). I hate buying wine anywhere else. Helpful tip: if you go to one of the wine tastings, go on the earlier side, as they run out of some things. If you do go there later, the upside is that you can pick out a bottle or two, and bring them across the street to Ponce, which is BYOB with no corking fee.

Now I have the biggest, sexiest olive oil jar straight from Italy standing dominantly in our dining room. Thank you Comollo. Really, antique lovers stop here first for something truly unique with bragging rights attached. The owners have such a great eye for finding that«wow» piece, followed by «where did you find that?». You have to frequent the place to keep on top of all the new treasures as they are snatched up quickly.
